Great idea one of ther radon’s for the channel was somehow to capture where we have been so we can look back I am printing off our best shots and hanging them in a room
Great photo opportunity’s you are dead right 👍. Lovely beach. Interesting history. Stunning scenery again. Shame there are not better rubbish dumping facilities but hey ho. Great vlog. Thanks guys. 👍
The row of terraced cottages was a Coastguard Station. They usually consisted of a row of houses for the coastguards and their families and a watch tower. There’s usually a boathouse and slipway nearby. They would watch out for smuggling and investigate dodgy shipping and also keep watch for shipwrecks.
Ah we wondered what they may be - shame they have all gone to ruin as a great location but I guess it’s down to work in the area etc Thanks for watching
Thank you so much :-) I can die a happy woman now. It always really bugs me when I cant find out something. Like Stew said - always such a shame to see places derelict. Jane
Hi Stew and Jane. Great to have you back!! You were missed! Glad that all is well. Our weekend is complete again!👍 Loved this episode. My mother came from outside Ballinskelligs and I have been going there all my life and have been to all of these locations many times. Incidentally, my wife and I went to Caherdaniel on our honeymoon 45 years ago! I’m always impressed by the research that you do for each location. I’m learning every week. Your photography and drone footage really add to each episode. Well done! Tom
What great feedback and lovely to read your connection - thankyou for your kind words it was a family issue we needed to focus on last week but should now be back to our regular weekly release Thanks again
Yes we missed one week as I had to focus on family matters but now back to a weekly release so if you are not subscribe as its free and they will appear in you favourites etc Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy
Just like everyone else I'm glad to see you back Jane and Stew. Even though there are few places to get rid of your rubbish it's nice to see how clean Ireland is. Maybe everyone is following the leave nothing but footprints mantra.
Looks like the first fish could have been a Coalfish, a very close relative of the Pollack. Love the channel by the way, can’t wait until you get to Dingle. Had lots of holidays in that area.
Really wonderful views and story telling! Just letting you know Mick O’ Dwyer was a Gaelic football player and manager of Kerry for many years. As the GAA is an entirely amateur sport with no salary everyone needs a day job! 😁
I think the speed you're going around Ireland is perfect, taking the time to enjoy it. Love the little villages you're passing through. Your words echoed my own experience at Abbotsford House when I only visited to escape a rainy day and ended up thoroughly enjoying the visit. It does seem to be that most places are cheaper than the UK at the moment! Great park up, morning drone flight, and coastal drive the next day which you showed beautifully 😍. Hope the van didn't get too stinky with the rubbish 🤣
Your drone shots are amazing! I would love to spend a few weeks in the house like a boat, and dine in the dome. I've even googled a map of the Ring of Kerry to chart your travels. My favorite little town was Kilorglin, home of the Puck Faire. We had a lovely B&B on the river.
Your pace is perfect, too many people rush from place to place ticking spots off a list. It’s impossible to really experience Ireland in even a few visits, you’ll be back! 😊
Hi Stew and Jane, great video. I was down at The Smugglers Inn Waterville a few years ago. They have a designated Dark Sky Reserve which if your lucky you'll get stunning views of the Milky Way. Really enjoy your videos. Derek from Dublin
Another great vlog, very pleased your back on track ❤. But we have just been reminiscing your early days when only Stew talked and very little was seen of Jane how you guys have developed your skills and talents its been great following your journey. Have a great weekend 😀😀
Cracking Video as always Guys, especially the "Snacks" rational....gave us a giggle! Quick question, could you let us know the name of the WAW book that you mentioned and where you picked it up? Thanks!
So if you mean Ireland you don’t need one I believe for sea fishing which is all I tend to do - I think for rivers if it’s like the uk you may need a rod license then maybe a permit to fish in private areas - here looks useful www.citizensinformation.ie/en/travel_and_recreation/sport_and_leisure/fishing_licences_and_permits.html If it’s uk you mean let me know
Really enjoying your Ireland trip, and I fully understand how you haven't got too far in 6 weeks.....I've been visiting 15 years and struggle to get out of Mayo! 🤣 Saying that, I did manage to get to Galway last week ...plus Cong village(of The Quiet Man film fame)...then Clifden, the Sky Road and Doolough Valley(both stunning), on my way to Westport....highly recommended if they're not already on your list. 👍 I can point you to a few safe and quiet overnight spots in Mayo if you need them...the Old Head near Croagh Patrick is one I've stayed at when visiting Wesport. If you're heading up towards Ballina,North Mayo and need those safe overnight spots, let me know. Enjoy! 🇮🇪😍
Thanks will take a look at those places as we will be revisiting the north west probably next year so I pin them on Google maps Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed them
Best scenery yet 👍
Yes it was a little stunning that day when the sun came up - ring of Kerry was dramatic with islands and mountains - thanks for watching
Ps with all the stunning photos Stu has taken. would make a wonderful coffee table book🇦🇺👍🏻🐨😀☕️

Yes rubbish is a challenge but using the local waste centres seems the best way in the end

Such beautiful scenery and interesting places to see and explore. Gorgeous blue seas too and a very lovely rocky coastline.
Thanks guys I have to say it was the changing weather that made this trip as you appreciated the beauty more
Take care
Really wonderful views and story telling! Just letting you know Mick O’ Dwyer was a Gaelic football player and manager of Kerry for many years. As the GAA is an entirely amateur sport with no salary everyone needs a day job! 😁
Yes we assumed it was something like that’s- he seemed a bit of a legend
Thank you for watching

That sounds idillic - i don’t think we went through there but will take a look on the map
I love Kerry, its my home, but our roads are shocking 😂
A lovely part of the world but in a way I love your roads - would it be the same if they were all neat and smooth 😂
Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching and we are planning at least one more if not two visits to see the north west and central areas
