Yes one of the challenges I have had is there has been more episodes to this series than I thought simply because I have so many great clips Thanks for watching and commenting
Wow that was a truly beautiful park up. Well done with the fishing. The Spanese fusion food looks tasty. Hope the tape worked on the loo. Take care Gill
Yes we caught the weather just right that showed off the bay to its best - campervan food I think is always fusion lol bivvy all worked and still going Thanks for watching and above all commenting
the reason for the no dogs at the end of the peninsula is due to sheep, they roam free across the commonage, a lot of the walks also go across private land which the land owners have allowed access for the walks along but still own etc, so its basicly same as farm rules. the reason for the no camper van sign is during summer that place is jam packed with cars to the point of there would be a traffic jam if a camper went down their. the one at kilcrohane pier is definatly one you would also want to listen to in summer, depending on the size of the van it could be very tight to turn. i live here, rubbish disposal is a problem, we have a private bin company if you dont pay you dont have bins. the few council rubbish bins out this way are woefully few and far between and dont get emptied often, the other side of this is their are some people who will throw their rubbish out somewhere, and that unfortunatly has to be cleaned up daily at peak tourist times. ive even offered tourists to use my bin and they didnt, i then ended up picking the tin foil up just down the road. Id say ask someone local, is there any bins here ive got a little rubbish id like to dispose of propperly and you will be pointed in the right direction or they might even take it off you. odds on i know exactly which paddy you were talking to... and if its not paddy with the digger id be very surprised. i remember when the two dutch lads died, that the plaque commerates, that storm was a real bad one, the road to kilcrohane from durrus was severly damaged most of the way down from the durrus site to ahakista and impassable due to giant holes washed away and the shore lines in some places completely changed.
First many thanks for a great comment we love reading answers to our observations or just local facts Re the no dogs it makes sense for sure I guess. Yes rubbish we think the next trip we simply go to council sites which does mean we have to carry it with us for a few days but thats just how it is We traveled out of season so saw very little rubbish I must admit The guy in the pub was I reckon 70 but I could be mistaken Terrible loss of life and must of been a huge storm Thank you for watching
Yes thank you so much. As Stew has said we love to hear the local history and local comments. We stopped at that park up 2 nights and it will be forever one of my most favourite stops of all time. It was just a magical place - the sea was so stunning and yet so brutal too claiming lives. We are hopefully better prepared when we return to Ireland next year regarding the rubbish 🤞Jane
@@getawaygeese if your back down this way again next year, their are bottle and can banks at durrus and kilcrohane and are free to use, the c/e worker is around kilcrohane most week days keeping the village tidy litter picking cutting grass etc, ask them they will help you out and point you in the right direction. its a great place, can get busy in the summer season, some people will randomly stop on bad bends and randomly walk out into the road to get the perfect selfie for instagram, some also dont understand its our main road. thankfully for as many annoying ones their are just as many considerate and nice visitors. ive met people from all over the world here and heard so many tales.
@@getawaygeese yeah that would be about right, re paddy, have worked with him in the past and drank with him a few times. off season is some of my favourite time, its such a beautiful place its still green, the sea has some amazing colours in winter. mind summer is a total different kettle of fish it can be tropical and the high humidity we can get here makes it all the more tropical feel. in the last 15 or so years theirs been 2 really big storms that were memorable for the damage and force from them, that storm took weeks to fix the damage, the power of the sea moving the sea wall and leaving 10 foot deep holes in some cases, it deposited 4 foot deep of shells along a 200m length of road, i had to use my landrover to deliver food supplies as cars couldnt get through, trees down all over. thanks for enjoying this part of the world
A good tip to simply ask which is something we need to do more of - I guess in high season one of the downsides all the ppl but hopefully they bring more to the place than they take away
Give us a call guys, we have spare bases for the Bivvy Loo. In future hold it sideways and pull it open like an accordion, then push the hinges into place. 😉
That’s brilliant I didn’t realise you can buy them - it’s still all taped up - as soon as I did it I realised what I had done wrong - just ordered I will give you a shout out next time on the road - thanks for watching
Fab episode guys. Lovely final park up. Place to yourselves. Bliss. And another successful fishing session! Don't do sea fishing really but think your second fish was a pollock. A good edible I believe. You need to get an outdoor cooking set up so you can eat what you catch. You'll never have to go to the chippy again lol. Take care x
Thanks for watching - yes the parkup was a little special because the weather was brilliant that first day with blue sky and high wind making it very dramatic Problem with cooking fish Jane is allergic to the vapour to do it’s masks on lol so any residue after cleaning is to much hassle lol
another great video, glad you caught some fish Stew, well done. isn't it great what you eat in the camper, what would you say if Jane offered that to you at home? The scenery was fantastic at the last park-up and so peaceful. Many thanks for sharing. ATB
We made it to limerick in our 9 weeks we did visit ballybunion and a nice place it was to … we are back now as it takes time to produce all the videos but plan coming back to do the north west in the next couple of years as we loved it so much
Our banter keeps us going lol 😂 Ireland in that changeable weather was brilliant I have to say and we fell in love with the place and people Thanks for watching
Loved the fishing segment Stu. Catching nothing is the default for a day out. Anything else is a bonus. That's why they call it fishing, and not catching...😄 The second fish was a pollock. The Irish trip ha been a great series so far.
Thanks for watching and above all commenting… glad you enjoyed and nothing is an easy catch for me. Thanks I thought it was a pollock by the copper colour
RIP bivvy loo? Have you looked at the Trelino composting toilet? I was wondering if it would fit in the cupboard under the seats where a porta potti might go. I was considering it for my van. Great video entertaining and beautiful scenery 👍
The bivvy loo is still going strong I can report lol …. Not seen the trelino I will have a look what’s the dimensions I can check for you as it’s a small cupboard
@@getawaygeese hello I hope your new adventure is going well. I've looked up the dimensions for the Trelino they are width 34.5cm / depth 40cm / height 28.5cm so that is marginally deeper (+12.65mm)and wider (11.5mm) than the dometic 972 that autocampers sell. The only other issue is its made in Germany and they dont seem to ship to UK (brexit I guess🙄) the review on Olya and Alex Travel youtube channel is where I saw it. I'm hopping to collect my autocamper in Sept 🤞so theres plenty of time for research. Happy travels 😊
We are away at the monent ( not in Harry ) and will be back in a couple of weeks so I will check then the exact dimensions for you - just remind me though lol 😂
Walked up sheep's head at Christmas, a beautiful refreshing walk. Well done you two. That's a beautiful place ye parked up. Stu well done,a great fisherman doesn't haven't to catch a fish, just enjoy the experience( I say this cause I've never caught a fish ha ha) I take my kids fishing a lot. Great views, ye sure did get good weather. Thanks for sharing another great adventure.
The walk was really rewarding and the views were easy to capture. You are right about going fishing as I love my little time on my own Thanks for watching
The sea colour in the right light was fantastic I think also the lush green headland that Ireland has makes it pop Thankyou for watching and commenting it keeps us going
That spot with the French motorhome was lovely, shame it was too early to stay. I always worry when I see grass in the middle of the road 😆 Beautiful scenery at that tiny park up. Don't think we'd have got in there.
Yes I suspect we may have stayed if it was not there but then we would of missed out on the best day and scene at that remote site Re grass we found it that every side road has grass lol 😂 so I gad to put my big girl pants on at times. I think sone you wouldn’t get down but to be honest I am not the best judge as then we saw some motorhomes do them Thanks for watching
Glad it’s not just us wrecking the Bivvy Loo 😆 Well done, great catch. That fish looked mighty tasty 😋 Yet another amazing park up. Ireland certainly keeps delivering. Looking forward to more 😀
Another great video Jane and Stew, maybe the door wouldn't open and close so often if Stew had a banksman or banksperson to guide him. But as usual a very enjoyable watch.
Poor Stu…between the parking and the unfortunate loo, you two had me laughing like hell! All in a days work! At least the gorgeous scenery made up for the arrival complications…I hope!
Well I would but with Janes fish allergy it would mean a load of hassle keeping it away from her do not worth the hassle. Interesting skin on statement as we only just found out maybe it should be off lol Hope you are both well enjoying your home Thanks for watching
Graham Norton has a beautiful holiday home near that plane crash memorial
Well I didn’t know that he certainly has a great view I suspect across to Skellig Michael- thanks for watching
The views are splendid!..I would be filling my phone up with photos constantly..🙂👍

Beautiful lasndscapes!
That was my favourite we just caught rough seas and bright sun - it was spectacular
Love your videos. So glad Stu managed to catch (several) fish, but oh, that loo!
Glad you enjoyed it - the loo is still going lol
Thanks for watching
Not the Bivvy loo! Well done catching fish Stew. Great Parkup 😊
The parkup up was great but made by the windy weather and waves -thanks for watching
We like our Ford Transit custom Devon Firefly hightop automatic swb as it has a Thetford cassette toilet with a full hight privacy door.
Oh I will take a look at that van - always like looking at van designs - can’t beat a Ford custom in my opinion
Stunning view
It was for sure - thanks for watching

Hope you make it to North Kerry, Ballybunion is heaven on earth. Can arrange a free parkup for you.

I was doing the same with cherzo I was eating it with skin on , untill our Spanish friend told us to peel it. 😅
I know after all these years I can’t believe we have only just thought about removing it lol 😂
Life is a learning journey lol
Thankyou for watching

Well done with the fishing Stu. Next time you get any banter like that from Jane, just remind her she likes looking at Muriels 😉
Lol she won’t live that down - thanks for watching
I wont 😱😂 Jane
It’s called fishing not kitchen❤️👍

Know what you mean about steep hills not showing up on camera!
Thanks for taking us!

😁
Thanks Ju for watching - you would love the walks and history
Whilst it’s not about catching it is exciting when you do get one
“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” So your sorted Stew. 😉
Ok so I think I need more lessons lol
Fishing is not about catching fish..it’s about emptying the mind..duh…🏴
Well I should be pretty good at having an empty one 😂 thanks for watching
