Another good vid, it takes us back to many dark evenings long ago searching for stopovers and finding "no overnight" signs or height barriers. Thank goodness for the apps that now provide locations and useful feedback.
Yes we have a wealth of technology ( when it works ) to quickly find info although you also at times can’t beat a good map to get a good view of where the hell you are when no signal 😂 Thanks for watching and above all taking time to comment
Another great video and yes, we've also learned our lesson about getting to destinations too late. Happy reminders of that road at Rossbeigh and the sheer drop 🙈 we used to rent a house for holidays over looking the strand, lulled to sleep by the rolling pebbles. Fabulous Inch strand and Dingle to come 😊
Often advice is to arrive late and leave early but at the moment I need to know where we are staying to avoid last minute stress. Must of been great holidays I have to say overlooking that scene Thanks for watching and commenting
Blimey that was an ‘adventure’ for you both! Clearly very confident now with the wild camping. Not a position I’d like to have found myself in on my own that’s for sure 😱
We are always losing stuff in the van. Not much fun carrying a big bag of rubbish in a small space. Lovely views from the beach. We definitely would not drive through that puddle. Good idea with the gym!
Just watched your latest video - it was great as usual. We had to laugh at your late night parking escapade. We thought it resembled the Apollo 11 lunar landing!! “Houston…the Eagle has landed” 😂 Thanks for such a good laugh this morning (here in Canada) !! See you next week!
Thanks for watching - at the time it’s always stressful but then we look back and laugh at it …. It was great to find a spot mind you Jane made me drive around it before she was happy lol Thanks for watching
Lots of people who shop in Lidl strip off as much packaging as possible and leave it at the store. They usually have 3 bins. The Revolution washing machines are great for big duvets.
Yep there is something very tactile about a map. With no signal it became a little difficult and as ever anxiety took over when darkness came quickly but we sorted it - thanks for watching and taking time to comment
Awe bless you both, it's happened to is that the sat nav gets very confused down the back roads. Glad ye got somewhere nice to sleep in the end. Have swam in that pool, love the jacuzzi area there. I appreciate all the time and effort you both go to, producing the videos, thank you. We are off camping in Kerry this year, it isnt call the kingdom for no reason,a beautiful place. With rubbish, in some of the big stores, they have recycling facilities in store, we use them as we are leaving the store. Thanks again, enjoy your weekend. Great video as always.
@getawaygeese oh we don't mind the weather at all,ha ha we are in the sea fora lot of it. We will be in West Cork for ore camping trips. I did laugh,as like ye,ended up down so many treacherous narrow roads, all park of the adventure.
Regarding rubbish. There must be certain items you buy where you can take the outer packaging off and leave it near the ALDI or LIDL or whatever grocery store you shop at. E.g. whenever ai buy shoes I say I don’t need the box and the salesperson just puts them in a plastic bag. Just a suggestion though. Some veg comes in styrofoam plates etc.
Thanks I think we missed a trick from the comments to remove packaging as we leave the supermarkets as many have bins that we could of used on the way out. We are going back again and we need to be a bit smarter on the next trip Thanks for watching and commenting
@@getawaygeese BTW. I am looking from a tiny island in the Caribbean…St. Kitts. But revisiting places to which I have been, with you via your vlogs. Thanks.
The height barriers aren’t really about stopping campers staying a night. They’re more about stopping people becoming more……permanent residents. If you know what I mean.
Yes I get it and this is about respect from all ways but I know I am naive in my thoughts - so when I am travelling I know I spend whatever money I have in the local economy in shops restaurants etc so encouraging me to stay helps those corner shops and garages and I am happy to do do BUT there are those that disrespect areas just like in other areas of society Blimey you got me going now lol 😂
@@getawaygeese What I meant is that while you are travelling, the height barriers are to stop “travellers”. As in, move in, collect scrap, tarmac your driveway travellers. With a few exceptions where the council or locals don’t want camper vans for some reason, the majority of height barriers are not there to stop nice people out to experience the scenery. They’re to stop car parks from turning into halting sites.
At the moment due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine their might be a few issues with GPS satellites not sending the correct information (this is done to confuse satellite guided missiles) not knowing the system fitted in Ford's the only other cause of your issue is that it needs updating, the first GPS I owned was a Garmin it was primative in comparison to modern systems in that it did not have a map but compass dial and a pointer which is not very helpful when it tells you too turn left and there's a fifty foot drop beside you. A complete factory reset is only a last resor.
It’s happened to me a couple of times in fact just the other day - at the moment the only fix is a factory reset which is a little annoying glitch Don’t think it’s Mr Putin but you never know Thanks for watching and commenting
What a load of rubbish, not your video of course. We also find it frustrating just how much rubbish we accumulate on a trip from packaging. The only way we have found around it to a certain extent is buying from greengrocers and butchers. Looking forward to a Welah tour from you and attempting the pronunciations, we are useless. Yes, Daryl gets extremely hangry. It is a sight to behold, NOT. Like you, we get stressed if we are out late and don't have a park up sorted.
Thanks guys for watching - you suddenly realise how much we waste. As you say back in the day you had a shopping bag and bought everything loose. The other issue is there are many different dialects so everyone says it different as well lol take care guys
Now that was a lovely watch. We have lost a few things in the van but they always turn up as extra inches on my waistline 😁👍
Lol thanks for watching it was just one of those days we all get but a memory all the same

Thanks for the night adventure!!! everything looks so much better in daylight!!!!!😛
Yes weird as darkness fell the stress rises lol thanks for watching

No living with rubbish in time becomes an issue 😂 thanks for watching
Great vid, your showing ireland at its best👍🇮🇪👍🇮🇪
Pretty easy to go to be honest even in stress days lol - hope you stay around when we go to other countries
Silly sat nav ours once took us on a footpath. Great video 😊 very much enjoyed. Have a great day
Glad you liked it - great when they work not so when you have no signal and they fail - thanks for watching
Good to see that "Stig" finally made it home to the dump. 🙂🐕🚙
Yes he finally met his maker at the crusher lol thanks for watching

Great tip as we are going back again so will try to reduce the waste challenge - thanks for watching and above all commenting
Hi Jane and Stu, I watched this days ago but forgot to comment. I'm a map man but sat have are very handy sometimes.
Yep there is something very tactile about a map. With no signal it became a little difficult and as ever anxiety took over when darkness came quickly but we sorted it - thanks for watching and taking time to comment

G P S is very unreliable in Ireland I always carry a map to be sure, no problem with G P S on the continent
Thanks for watching - I now have a map of Ireland for the next trip 👍🏻
