We get like that. Always See more places we want to visit when we don’t have time. Craster looked nice. Fresh air and a decent view works wonders. Tea looked good. Lovely castle. I’m a great believer in the ryvita and cake diet 🤣. Want to do that causeway. Looks like fun.
Barmy people driving through before the tide was lower. We love that coastline but it is hard for parking. We loved Holy Island and Bamburgh. Didn't look too bad for a layby to be fair. Quite nice views.
We’ve driven across that causeway to Holy Island many times, love Northumberland such a beautiful county. Stay away from the popular spots and you can have the place to yourselves.
Funny commentary of Stew paddling in the ice cold water 😂. Nothing boring about waiting for the right tide times to Holy Island, I wouldn’t risk crossing earlier either - respect the sea lol! Lovely video. Take care both.
Just like me stew with parking . Kids always laugh because I will always go right to the back of a car park after driving round it first 👍 great vid again guys 👍🥃
That looked a bit scary crossing over to Holy Island, just imagine breaking down half way over ..... I will leave you with that thought and pleasant dreams.
Excellent video, with lots of tension build up!! Great choice of music! As usual, I want to go see everything you show us!!! Jane your comments and descriptions are impeccable! Take care!
I'm currently in Northumberland in my van. Watched your video whilst eating my breakfast 😊 Very interesting. I've been to Bamburgh Castle and found it awesome. Thank you. Michelle.
Bamburgh looks good too. We were thinking, it's a shame neither is English Heritage or National Trust as too many £15-£20 pp entrance fees are a bit expensive on a trip. Fishing around on the net we noticed the Historic Houses group. Are we the only ones who don't know about them? At £94 per year for two people in the same household we would only have to visit three of the 300 houses to cover the fee. Will consider join next year, particularly if we decide to go up that way.
Thanks not heard of that group and I know what you mean about expense as we are only NT members so we often don’t go into English heritage due to the cost
@@getawaygeese We have both. Probably go to more English Heritage as we love castles in all states of repair but the free car parking with NT soon adds up to the fee. They are often nice enough to stop to have some food or rest for a while.
Glad you enjoyed - Craster was lovely and the old castle you can see you can walk from Craster or go to the beach where we went and walk back to Craster
I used to go out with a girl whose grandparents lived on Lindisfarne. Visited a couple of times and loved it there. Proper swimming next time Stew, rather than just a paddle? The castle looks well worth visiting.
Yep it was the end of the day when we went due to the tides and a real shame we couldn’t overnight as we would of looked around and got to the history. Good excuse to go back Bamburgh was good but probably needed a guidebook or audio guide as so many centuries of history Interesting the guy who owned cragside restored the castle
We sadly didnt have time for Bamburgh when we were up there, but did Alnwick, clearly we need to go back up. Thank you for sharing another great vlog, loved the idea of steak another idea to add to the list.😀😀
Hi guys. Another enjoyable watch. Some fine beaches in the north east. Shame it looks like they’re clamping down on overnighting by them. Food looked lovely. After dipping his toes I reckon Stew’s ready for some wild skinny dipping next. Thanks for sharing and happy travels x
I think Stewart (me) needs to be in warm climate first - Jane aka Nanook is happy to sea swim in 2degrees - thanks for watching - parking with our van sizes will be easier as there is always a corner
I suspect so much easier and maybe with all packaging in the last few years maybe less rubbish …. If everyone had a respect lesson at school/college then maybe it would be so much easier - thanks for all the support
Always laff out loud at Jane's narrations of Stew!!!
Don't remeber seeing the bell when we were there!
Thanks for taking us there!

😁
Thanks for watching and supporting us ….. these videos will help the bullying court case that is building 😂

Thanks for watching - sone places there is to much to see or we are travelling to fast which is a lesson we are learning

Thanks for watching - yep you have to hunt around and it was not bad just close to the road and no where to walk but did us
We’ve driven across that causeway to Holy Island many times, love Northumberland such a beautiful county. Stay away from the popular spots and you can have the place to yourselves.

Yes we were wondering how many people went to early or late and went off - the tide is really strong. Thanks for watching

Love the map malarkey, what is it ? An app? My ocd kicked in when I saw your cutlery tray, all facing the wrong way- I’m surprised at you Stu ..🤦🏻♂😂😂
Yes that draw has to much in I know what you mean 😂 it’s called travel boast and the base app is free but you can buy different vehicle types etc

Yep parking alone is a good saving for a day out
Most enjoyable thank you.
I am heading that way on Thursday for a long weekend, and i have just put Craster on my dog walk list.
