Sounds good. Was expecting louder than just a muffler delete. I got that on mine and to me mine sounds louder than what you got there but I could be wrong things sound better and different in person. Beautiful truck!
Thanks. It was muffler delete only. Then I stuck the Super 10 in and it got a lot more quiet. Then I ran these headers catless with the Super 10 and it was very loud. Not overkill but it was loud going down the road. I have a Borla XR1 in it now and it sounds deep and loud now. Great muffler!

I have an 03 Z71 ext cab - essentially the same truck. Mine has stock manifolds w flows on it. I love the stance / look of these yrs for Silverado ext cab 4X4's. Mine has fender flares to hide rusty wheel wells on the bed. The wheels are offset, so the overall look of the ext cab with the offsets is stunningly better / hotter than the stock look / better than 4 full doors. The 5.3 sounds great too
Thinking about getting some long tubes for my 5.3 and I’ve already got a super 10 muffler as well, after seeing this I think I’m going to go that route because my manifold is leaking due to a missing bolt

Hey man, I have a super 10 in my 5.3 2019 Sierra. It’s fairly loud, at a cold start maybe 105 decibels at the exhaust tip. I’d have to say no it wouldn’t unless you point the back of your truck towards them

From the pics I see ur in my area so was wondering if u have any issues with inspection and the sound level of possibly failing? Also wondering if u move to a county with an emissions requirement, would it pass with the work you've done. Adams currently has no emissions test for inspection.
In Pennsylvania to what I understand you are emissions exempt if you put 5,000mi or less on per year, but without catalytic converters it is still a visual fail. It all is in on who you know and who will pass it for ya.

@@thedistractedcanadian4355 nope. It all fit well. Drivers side is close but cleared. Ran them from under neath to connect up, used a grade 8 bolt fastener kit.

That Just sealed the deal for that muffler on my truck.it has the 40 series on it right now and its to quiet.the guy I got the truck off said it's loud when I looked at and I just laughed a little.i also need to do the headers to get rid of the tick tick.
2500HD with the 6.0 is an awesome truck. More peppy than the 5.3s stock for stock especially with 4.10 gearing. If mpg is a big factor, half ton 5.3 will be the better bet. The 6.0 sounds awesome and tows good. The 5.3 is efficient and can be made to perform good
It is just pieced together. Not a full kit. Speed Engineering makes a longtube header kit that bolts up. You can have an exhaust shop fab your pipes and pick.your muffler.
Absolutely amazing. I bought the truck used with the lift and the shocks were pretty much shot. I updated the front end with Moog ball joints, Kryptonite tie rods, and did the shocks shortly after. Drives great! Comfortable on the roads, very nice on back roads. I'll be doing them to the Duramax too!
@@followerofchrist1961 it depends on the shape of them, if they have a 45 degree angled I let and a straight outlet, no. If it's straight in/out, then possibly yes given there is sufficient room for them. Crossmembers and such will be the issue.

I had it straight piped before with the Magnaflow Y merge on the stock manifolds and cats. I stuck this Super 10 in ( removed it originally because it was too quiet ) because I was in plans to install these headers. I did like how it was but eventually knew headers would be in. I ended up putting and XR1 Borla muffler in it. Check it out!

They were a speed engineering type. They weren't precisely speeds, but they were just like them. 1.75" primaries.

Zero issues. There was 1 broken stud but it was easily retracted.

For the long tubes did the cats bolt up fine or do you have to do any mods to get it to work
They are resonators technically designed for the kit, they bolted up with donut gaskets and 3 bolt flanges.

It isn't a whole kit. Its the headers and Y that came in a kit, factory midpipe with a Flowmaster Super 10, and dual 2.5" mandrel bent tailpipes.
