I gained 18 horsepower by putting this exhaust system on the truck originally had 285 horsepower stock I'm cranking 303 304 horsepower now what a difference thanks to exhaust addicts for hooking me up with the right parts and everything I needed to get this done your videos really help me truly truly did. Exhaust Addicts if I am ever in Tennessee I will definitely be coming into your shop and hopefully getting a dual exhaust system on my other truck
I had a 2000 Silverado 5.3. I had stock everything up to a single in dual out cherry bomb extreme (same thing as a flowmaster 10) to 2 5" tips corner exit. Absolutely loved it. Sounded like a muffler delete just a lil deeper sounding.
@@bsb7223 I had the Cherry bomb extreme witch is extremely similar and I liked it. It sounds like a more throaty muffler delete. It honestly sounds nothing like the rest of flowmasters stuff which for my taste I personally like. I can't stand the choked off traditional flowmasters sound. It's really loud at idle but bearable at cruising rpms.

Well he ended up somehow breaking the welds off on the tailpipe end of the muffler, and he shot out the innards of it 🙂 rumbles like a dream now though, and has slight but not tooooo loud crackle/pop 2 with a quick blip of the throttle
I run a 3 inch cat back, single side exit, with a flowmaster super 40. Sounds real good. Nice and deep and mellow. And no Hwy drone. I really like the flowmaster fx muffler. It’s had nice tone as well.

The white gmc with the flow master fx sounded the best to me! I had a 17 Sierra that sounded like that and I loved it! I wish my 19 Sierra could sound like that.

@@bigblockbumpside2296 well it's a lot better if you hop up the motor of course but a V8 sounds bad ass no matter what straight piped. Unless it's some ratty old piece of trash that knocks, has rattling valves or some other sign of failure. My truck sadly only has single exhaust with the muffler and resonator off but to me it still sounds pretty good despite most people thinking it's obnoxious I'm sure.
I have always been a fan of the exhaust exit before the rear tire. That exhaust system won for me. The Borla sounds good too. I’ve had several of them as well as Flowmaster.

Overall, i hrdly drive my old 5.3L though. Its become a toy. Think its 2 months on the same tank. Need to get out and drive it. Blow the crud from the injectors again. The Italian tune up works well for the old girl. 169k and still going.

True dual borla ATAK with cat delete and x pipe. I’ve got it on my 06 Silverado with an L33 5.3 and it is a truly unique and insanely aggressive sound without the Clap of straight pipe
@@turbogofast BOR40085 is the SKU. The muffler diameter is a bit bigger than the factory exhaust, but the space from cutting off the factory muffler was plenty of room for adapters.

Flowmaster is always the best muffler imo. Regardless of what series u use. I run a 40 series dual in dual out with no cats long tube headers. I get many complements on how good my truck sounds
Well my truck is a 01 single cab u definitely hear the exhaust in the cab. But i can have conversations easily. If i get another truck one day id probably use the same set up. I like it that much.

@@jonahevers9371 yes, the super 10 has a more aggressive sound. But when you add headers and or remove your cats the 40 series is perfect for me... The super 10series is a bit too much for me...
@@jerkilby I'm satisfied with mine. Ive had it for going on about 2 years now. I put magnaflow hi flo cats on it and bigger short tube headers on it so it's definitely allot louder now. I have a video of it on my channel. Sounds fucking angry as shit sometimes

I had the 5.3 and did a single spin tech 6000 muffler with no resonators. It wasn’t enough. The tone was GREAT, but not enough for me. I went ahead and put a QTP cutout right after the first cat. It sounded perfect. When it went into v4 it sounded like a diesel. I did not care.
Best sounding one I had was true dual with cats, but no muffler, it had a 3 inch x pipe where the muffler would go, was quiet when you wanted it to be but loud when you got down in her
I have a flowmaster fx to replace mybblown out axleback for my miata. Haven't put it on yet outside is loud AF in thus vid but controlled. It doesn't seem like the internal noise or external noise will be any louder than what my muffler was but it does sound like it would be much cleaner. I just searched for the borla in the previous clip to replace my oem pre silencer. So I believe it will be quieter in the end.
I have a 1998 1500 with the 5.7 vortec. I put a flowmaster super 40 on it with 2.5 inch pipes and I have 3 inch tips on it. Some of the guys at my highschool think its a 7.4 liter instead of a 5.7 liter. They race each other but they won't race me. I wanted to just keep the pipes open and do side pipes but it was so loud in the cab I couldn't have a normal conversation plus in Michigan you have to have a muffler or they'll get ya

First video like the guy Saud it's not too much is not bad because it has that resonator on it. Resonators are key to any delete muffler or cat. Don't just leave it. Or do sonthat prices don't jump

I run a muffler delete and 3rd cat delete on a 5,3 suburban but looking to change exhaust, choice is between mbrp system or a dual exit with a super 44. Would this take the db down? Or is it a super 10 i should have?

Whenever possible, cut out the factory exhaust flapper valve. Buy a tuner and turn off the v4 mode. Your v8 will run way better.
What tuner do you recommend
Diablosport or SCT . Both are good. Easy to use. I currently run a SCT on my 2017 chevy

I have the same setup on a 4.8. I have it dumping under the bed at the axel with a 6 inch tip for a little more volume.
Number 5, is my vote, single to dual, cat back, not too much crackle, but loud enough.

Magnaflow XL single in/ single out with 3 inch mandrel bent pipes has the best sound for the Vortec. But that’s just my opinion.

I've got the Flowmaster Flows in true dual. Good sounding setup.
I run a muffler delete and 3rd cat delete on a 5,3 suburban but looking to change exhaust, choice is between mbrp system or a dual exit with a super 44.
Would this take the db down? Or is it a super 10 i should have?

So I have a 89 chevy with a 305 engine, I think the exhaust is stock, what options would you recommend to me for exhaust that will keep the engine healthy and efficient, and give me more of a deep purr or growl that's not too loud or showy, rather than almost a "whoosh" noise

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 stock manifold's high flow cats with A &X pipe sounds amazing. but without the cat's super tens with a xpipe Flowmaster cats and mulffers
