      You'll get it one day bro. Dont give up. If it helps, i had to completely remove myself from my environment. Now there is a saying wherever you go there you are. But for me leaving where I was was the best thing I could have done for myself.

    Lost my older brother at 39 from alcohol addiction. This hits home. Found him after 7 days, an experience I will never forget. His son follows President trump and will not drink.

    I spent so many years of my life under the spell of alcohol, depression and severe ptsd. Gained my freedom with the help of nature using mushroom (psilocybin) precisely. After my experience with shrooms five years ago every bottle of alcohol I picked up tasted like literal poison. I would take one taste put out the alcohol. I haven't drink since, no more depressive mood and ptsd. Few doses of shroom experience made a 15 year 4 bottles a day drinker quit instantly. Shrooms are life changing. There is no way you can put into words what it feels like..

I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing!       Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

    I had never seen Donald Trump opening his heart like this, he even seemed compassionate and caring about Theo’s addiction, without judgement . I am not American, but I consume a lot of American media and I wish Trump was given the opportunity to open himself more frequently like this but sadly the media is more interested in presenting him like a monster.     This conversation reminded me of my dad who i lost in 2016 to congestive heart failure. He drank like a fish from age 17 to age 74.

      Just look at his children. When Eric was younger, and wanted Dad to start buying things, he had a simple answer: get to work. He did construction, grunt work, learned every aspect he could because his father understood how to raise his child.     I agree. My older brother OD'd on heroin and always told me not to ever take drugs. I watched him stuggle with these issues for many years and credit him for keeping me safe from a possible addiction.

    Currently going on 2.5 months with no drinking. Quality of sleep got better, my mood swings are going away, and down 8.5 pounds (215, which is healthy for me, but I'm aiming for a flat 200). So far, so good.

      I’m sick of everyone acting like they need some existential excuse to do what they like.
      That’s called worrying about what other people think. Who fucking cares?
      Now if your high is affecting your life in a negative way, then yes go ahead and get your shit together.
      I work 50-60 hours a week, pay my bills early, support my wife and kids. I think I’m entitled to come home and smoke a joint, pop a Xanax or drink a beer if I so wish.

      ​​@@Umtree Been in business for a while now. Yes, many companies center their networking/team building things around alcohol (or involve it to some extent). But i think its a stretch to say that you cant move up if you dont indulge. Ive never seen anyone not invited just because theyre abstinent. Most people arent drinking to excess anyways, so nobody really cares if someone gets a soda instead of a margarita. Sure, it can help bring you closer to people to share a beer together, but the same can be accomplished through other means (or drinks). If anything in my experience, abstinent people get more respect from others because most people understand how hard it is to resist the peer pressure. And most people also realize that many people who choose to abstain are doing so because they know they have a problem and are showing incredible strength/responsibility/resilience by not drinking.

    I love that Trump was genuinely curious about Theo's situation and asked him questions about it. There's a myth out there that Trump only talks about himself but people who are around him in everyday situations will tell you that he cares for people and asks questions and can be receptive and empathetic

      Honestly, if you watch older stuff of him you realize he is a businessman. When he's trying to sell something, the whole conversation will steer towards how great this thing is. If he's endorsing someone, he steers it toward how great that person is. If he's running for public office... It's how great he would be and how terrible the other person would be.
      When there's no stakes in the conversation, you hear him and he's incredibly friendly and even humble.

But after reading The Art of the Deal and following Trump closely for a long time I can say that he is always maneuvering and planning and thinking about his next steps forward. Exaggerating things is just a strategy so people who watch things or listen or read while drooling and barely taking in the information will actually focus in on the important parts of his message.
      It also forces the media to cover it and because what Trump says is mostly truth with some exaggeration they just look stupid attacking it.

      Try to focus on a hobby, your only young, I wish I quit when I was 25. I went cold turkey from alcohol, cigarettes and weed after 30 years on it. It been 3-4 months sober, I took up archery and bow hunting to replace my addiction and now I don’t even think about my past bad habits.

    2 years sober.
    One day at a time.

    Everyday is a gift.
    I "fell out" 3 separate times from I.V opiates . Liast time the EMT said to me as i came too on my bedroom floor...."We didn't think that you were coming back. " it still took me 5 years to finally figure it out.
    I would not wish addiction on my worst enemies. Its a horrible existence.

      Yeppers I used to wonder how people got that way and then I had a car accident which put me on oxycodone for a year and a half. Once they took the prescription I never felt so horrible or sick in my life it took me 3 years to become normal again. Definitely rough rough rough...

      My Dad passed away in 2023. He hadn't had a drink since 1989. He nearly died drinking and using before I was born. I have been to a lot of AA meetings. Back in the day, they would say the Lord's Prayer. I don't know if they do that anymore. In the end, they would say keep coming back. You are 35 years in. Keep coming back. I have never had a drink in my 43 years because I saw what it could lead to. I felt I would start drinking and not stop. I'm like Trump in that regard.

    hitting my 2 year sobriety from alc on the 28th next week.... as someone who went through it on their own with no help, no rehab ect "my choice cause this was my fault nobody elses" i can confirm it is thee hardest thing to go through. I didnt reach out to people also cause my mindset was theres nobody that can truly help/change you other than yourself YOU need to make the choice. I wokeup one day said enough is enough its time to change and now here i stand that much stronger and that much healthier. #youcandoit
