Thanks Michael! I tried concrete bowls and a few other projects and really struggled. Watered down mix without flow control, used some off brand mix and had to wait a day. Big disaster. My husband has bought all supplies for concrete table from your 1 hour concrete table. My 10 year old granddaughter visiting from Iowa,we live in Az. The day your bowl video came out, granddaughter arrived. She and I got into one of my husbands bag of Rapid set and flow control, big success! We made bowls, snowflake magnets, door stops, paperweights and hands.. We only had to wait 45 minutes. Now to see how we pack granddaughters suitcase for plane ride home. And now to see what that old man of mine will say when he sees his coffee table supplies!! Thanks again, love your videos, keep em coming. Got the whole fam damily watching!
Oh my gosh Liz! I absolutely LOVE THIS COMMENT!!!! That’s what it’s all about! I love family and I love projects and when ya put the two together.... GOOD TIMES! Thank you so much for watching my videos Liz and thank you for that great story!
Liz, that's great !!! You might have inspired your Granddaughter to be a cement artist and she learned to work with her hands. She will remember that day she did those projects with you forever. Great job
i can't stop watching your videos, nor do i want to. you are my hero! you are a lifesaver. I've recently begun working in concrete and have been searching for the right videos for what i am trying to do. thank god i didn't quit searching. i am so grateful to you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us! can't wait to start a new project in the morning. thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you BIG MIKE! Gonna use my wifes big plastic salad bowl and your method and make large artificial pine banzai trees using bailing wire, bondo filler and bondo lightweight for no maintenance features around our serene waterfall goldfish pond.....as a present to her! She's the light of my life and with your help she's gonna love that your videos have helped that happen! Thank you again....sincere regards my friend!
Learning more everyday. My two kids ( 32 and 36) are loving my gifts to them. They are in awe that their 60 year old mom is Rocking the Rapid Mortar Mix. Unfortunately I couldn't lift my counter top by myself, I tried, I broke it. That's ok, Mike showed me how to patch it back together in one of his videos, he didn't know it. I am going to let the kids lift the patched counter top. 60 years old and 110 pounds mom has to know her limits.
This is a very informative and straight the point video! I watched a lot of videos at 3am to find a good one, and this was the best one I found. I have successfully made 2 pots as I comment, and all I used was the info from this video!
My daughter and I made these bowls together... Great fun and she gave them out as Christmas presents. They turned out great and she felt like a hero for making something so beautiful by hand. Michael- Keep up the Great Work! Keep the videos coming. Make a cool T-Shirt and I will buy it! "I build with Michael" or something like that. Thanks again
Thank you for making this video..Some people dont have all of the tools to make all of the other things...so it is nice that you made something everyone can make...
It's great to see how far this channel has come in a short space of time. I love watching these vids! Although they are missing one thing... DEPOT RUN!!!!!
Hi Michael because of you I made an outside bbq kitchen and made the counter top in concrete. Beautiful result, one problem now my all family wants one.
Tell your family that the real fun is in making it. If they want one then you will show them how. Worst thing that can happen is more quality time with family. It's a win/win!
Greetings from the Netherlands! I am hooked on the project ideas. I have watched many other videos on concreat counter tops. Yours are by far the most user friendly. Am looking forward to my first project. I will share when it's done. Thanks for making it look fun and easy.
This is my first time watching your video and I must say it was very entertaining and informational. I really enjoy watching a video when the artist not only shows how to re-make their craft but also includes the necessary details such as the type, size, and dimensions of the products used. Nothing is more frustrating to me than to spend my time watching a video and then feeling like I just wasted my time! Sorry for the rant, just trying to emphasize how much I appreciate the detailed information you took the time to add at the end of your video! I just subscribed :)
Pretty cool idea. I plan on making a low wall bar for the kiddos and using one of these to put charcoal in for them to make roast marshmallows and hot dogs after a day of swimming or family gatherings.
Michael. I did this but I split the concrete into portions and colored each section then poured them in the bowl and gave them a little swirl. Very cool looking. I sent to you an email with a picture. Great craft. Your the best.
Thanks Michael. I have some large metal mixing bowls. Bird bath going into production real soon. I was looking on the net how to make a simple concrete birdbath. You filled that quest.
Idk if there is a suggestion box, but....I would love to see a video on different ways to color your concrete. Like when you showed your viewers' submissions and the one was black....
Same thing about color, also if you mortar coat the fountain, can you show how to add an "embossed" or raised design like a kokopelli or the Autobot mask ? Thank-you Sir
digital303s Definitely. I love the enthusiasm also. As someone who once had a good size precast business, I lost all enthusiasm for this stuff unless I’m just watching it.
I recently just found and subscribed to this channel. I think it’s absolutely awesome that you provide links to the products used and the majority of those products can be found at a local store. Thank you and I can’t wait to watch more videos.
I saw in other videos that before u demold, you can pour some hot water onto the outside surface of the plastic bowl or use a heat gun or blow dryer to blow at the plastic bowl. The plastic bowl will expand, so it’ll be easier to demold.
Another great video and project. Hard to believe you started this channel less than a year ago considering how far you've come. Fantastic work man, definitely working for you.
I watch 99% political videos, so when I get a notification for one of *YOUR* videos I GO TO IT RIGHT AWAY! *Thank~You So MUCH for sharing your AWESOME TALENTS & GREAT ATTITUDE with ALL OF US: Many Blessings to ALL OF YOU!*

Wonderful build!!! Makes me want to make some for my balcony - as planters.. One tip- color. There are low cost iron oxide powders that are used as cement colors. You can also find them in pottery shops: red, yellow, green and black iron oxides. Good luck... lovely channel!!!

Hey Michael! Have you ever heard of a tick stick? If not, you of all studs need to know. I just learned about it and naturally thought of you and the awesomeness that will certainly follow with such a tool in your hands. It’s used to replicate tricky shapes for making templates. And you can make it, no purchase necessary! IDK if you’d appreciate a link posted here so search UA-cam for tick sticking. Yeah baby! The fountain! Of course use rapid set for the bowls duh. Yet I needed you to tell me. ❤️
Lol 😂 I always love seeing comments from my Roxy Anny! I looked up your “tick stick” and that definitely looks like a handy tool! Thank you so much 😊. I will definitely do a really good fountain for you 😉👍🏻

U r my new best friend with the rapid set and flow control. I do many crafts with cement and hate waiting a day for it to set.
You could easily (and I plan to) use these techniques to make custom basin sinks for a bathroom.
I watched this in 1.5 speed so I could hurry up and watch is twice! I want a channel like this when I grow up.

I’m convinced that Michael is really a sales rep for WD-40
That's hilarious its definitely stuck in my head now😂
You can actually use any kind of oil or grease as a mold release for the cement.
My question is how are you sealing these after using WD -40 I tried using a concrete sealer and the remaining oil made the sealer flake off
