try mixing (dont over mix, just swirl around a few times) acrylic gold, silver and/ or black to your white cement to get a nice marble finish, then make it shine with a clear coat spray
FYI, cement and concrete are two different products. That's why you had so much trouble mixing one and not as much w the other. Portland Cement is an ingredient that gets mixed with a few other things to make concrete. I hope that makes sense. ✌️
Such a beautiful DIY, Jessica! Love the variety of colors AND sizes 😎 she delivered
They came out so good😍 love that you did them in different colors!
Thank you!
I’d definitely purchase one from you if you were selling☺️
I was thinking the same thing too!
Yes me too!🥰
You’re so sweet!! thank you!!!
@@lynnettebond me too
But seriously... would you maybe?
Love them, Jessica! I can see these as deck planters, both the pedestal and large bowl. Either drilling drain holes or making a mold from the plastic bowls with a cutout sealed with silicone caulking to prevent cement leakage.
Thanks Tonia! I think they would look amazing as a planter. I’ll probably put succulents in some of them and put them in my backyard. Thanks for the tip on making a drainage hole.
Love it! I’ve been wanting to make some for awhile but I’m haven’t been in the DIY mood lol. But this totally gave me the itch again. You make it look so easy 😍
You make this looks so easy but I don’t think I can pull this one out! Lol can I just order one from you🥰
Hahahahaha the gray concrete mix is really easy to work with. The white one not so much...but I’ve made so many I feel like a pro now 🤣
I’m so obsessed with this! These are amazing!
Beautifully done! It’s way better than the Target version.
How many bowls were you able to make roughly from that 25lb bag? Or maybe roughly how much of the bag you used to make one bowl? Trying to get an idea of how many I can make from one bag of mortar mix :)
For future reference incase you haven't figured it out yet, if you boil some water and pour it over the plastic bowl that will make it slide right off the cement :)
Thanks for the tip 😃
FYI: Cement, concrete and mortar are 3 different materials www.linkedin.com/pulse/difference-between-cement-concrete-mortar-tanya-marchiol The instructions are a little confusing. At 1:38 you identify the material to be used as RapidSet *Mortar* Mix. Than at 1:55 your instruction is to "start off by adding your *concrete* mix into the bucket and some water..."
Are You & Jorge somehow related....?... or is it some experiment going on...
Do you seal the concrete bowls with anything to keep the edges from crumbling any kind of sealant on the concrete?
That was so neat!! Love it !! Can't wait to move into my house and make bunch of these !!
Did you use straight Portland for the second bowl?
You can def sell those bowls on Etsy or someplace.
Wow, Subbed liked.. just lovely 😊 going to try this.
Fantastic! I've seen a bunch of these DIY concrete bowls and yours are by far my favorite!
Thank you so much
Any tips on how to cure/shine/seal concrete. Thanks.
What brand does do you use? Thank you. Beautiful work
I don't know why but I feel like concrete dies a waste of time it doesn't really change that much of the color unless you use a ton
Hay
How many bowls can you make with one bag of concrete mix?
Thank you so beautiful! What adhesive again
Hi I think I missed it what was the Flow Control for?

HI Jessica, do you think I could paint the bowls?

What about drainage holes- for planters? 😀
You inspired me today, thank you . Pedestal bowls are my fav. never owned one...now I know why..because I had to make one from my own hands. Thanks for the tutorial and keeping it real. I see them as fancy water bowls for the bird ...they will love it :)
Precioso trabajo, gracias por compartirlo. Saludos desde Argentina
What dye did you use and what brand ? Love the way all of them came out
Thank you!! Sorry, I forgot to list the dye. Its now in the description under products used.
Great job. I love the white target dupe bowl. I ended up buying one from potterybarn barn. I couldn't find one from target.
You should consider selling these! I love them!
Thank you so much!!! Maybe I should revisit that thought 😆
Wow Jessica - what a great idea!!
Awesome video - can't wait to try this! Thanks!!!
Thank you for your video. I was trying to figure out a good birthday gift for a close friend of mine. I am trying it this weekend.
Did the white bowls crack? Cement needs sand added to make concrete. I leaned this recently. 😀 great video..
The white one sure did 😩 the gray cement bowl is still holding up well though
@@JessicaJ_ well guess what. I found another amazing white concrete that already has the sand and the strength fillers. And you can color it amazing colors with pigment from Direct Colors.or wherever... Its Premium Countertop mix. In white. Made for concrete countertops. No cracking and almost same price. I get it at Menards.
❤
You're awesome. Perfect DIY.👏👏👏
You did a great job on the video with the FF on the endless stirring! Prefer to size/shape bowl selection is key!
do you have a recommendation for a sealant of the white concrete?
I can’t wait to try this!
Are u selling your bowls?
No sorry. You can find good ones on Etsy or Athome if you’re looking to buy one

Love, love, Love!
Nice work!
❤️ these 🥣.
Thanks for video.I cant wait to try this.
Let me know how it comes out
Those are fantastic will give them a go thanks for sharing
Thanks! Let me know how yours turns out
Great ideas!
Love the tan, black and brick colored bowls. Did you use white concrete for those? Can regular concrete be dyed black?
And yes, please do make more diy videos. 👍
I used charcoal dye and the Mortar mix for the almost black concrete bowl. You can probably getting darker by adding more dye. I also listed what concrete and dye I used for each bowl in the video. The concrete mix is pretty inexpensive and you’ll be able to make a lot with it, so you can keep trying until you get the colors you want. Good luck!
MyJessicaJ thank you!
Amazing !!!!
Love these
They came out so nice Jessica. You should sell them!
Thanks Tracey! You guys are so kind 🥰
I've seen lots of these videos, yours was the best!

Which cement did you use for the white one?
White Portland cement. I got mine from Lowe’s
I ordered the Project 62 Footed Bowl twice and it arrived broken both times 😩
Dang Target didn’t learn from their last launch 😩 hopefully they will get it together for your third order
@@JessicaJ_ I have been waiting for the restock and hopefully it will arrive in tact. If not maybe they need to reach out to H&M, their Homegoods packaging is amazing.
Omg u are so talented and beautiful
You’re so sweet! Thank you 🥰
