Merlin Olsen was at least the equal of bob Lilly & Alan page, but some greats were left off.controversial list but cool.ya gotta remember before 1980 or so it was only a 14 game season so sacks were not really recorded & a smaller sample size too.
Well, I quit watching the video when you had Bob frickin Lilly at 7. But I was curious to see what the rest of the list was. I quit watching again when it hit 5. Seriously?!?!? Mean Joe Greene and Mr Cowboy Lilly are easily the 2 best tackles of all time and you have them at 7 and 5??!?! You have got to be joking.
I don't know about Smith but Howie played all along the defensive front, even playing NT at times. Primarily Howie was a DE but I think it would be more appropriate to call Howie a DL than DE or DT.
Warren Sapp #1??...above Joe Greene, Randy White, Bob Lilly, and no mentioning of Merlon Olsen?....someone really needs to do their homework
Alan page had 173.5 sacks as a DT. that's insane..
The only real question when it comes to the best Dtackle of all time is, How far ahead is Alan Page from everyone else?

mean joe greene is 5? he pretty much led the team to the first couple steelers super bowls and should be #1
+Nickscan77 lily is number 1 mean joe is more like 3 or 4. Lilly, Olson, mean Joe, randy white, john randle and sapp
Joe Greene stand head and shoulders above all defensive tackles there's no way you can even consider those guys over him
Bob Lilly.
Where's my fridge?
List doesn't have Dan Hampton? He's the best tackle in history.
Stop drinking.
The Vikings have always had a amazing D-line
They did but they were a little light in the a$$.the huge offensive lines of Oakland & KC always handled them
Sapp was great but #1? I think John randle was better. Leon lett was damn good too.
Why is mean joe Greene 5 dude watch some his games dude he just gets past the center instantly then kills the HB or QB
Gilbert brown
That and you know all he did was lead the steelers to the Super Bowl you know nothing special also this is when the steelers had a horrible team
What no Merlin Olson ??? Lilly wasn't better !!!. Not only that the Rams had a tougher schedule !! Johnny U and the Colts !!!

10. Howie Long
9. Bruce Smith
8. Vince Wilfork
7. Merlin Olsen
6. Bob Lilly
5. Warren Sapp
4. John Randel
3. Randy White
2. Alan Page
1. Joe Greene
Long and Smith were DEs.
And Bob is number 2

Dan Hampton is #1. He made that 4-6 Bears scheme work. Hall of Fame career.
