You couldn’t block him one-on-one in any situation whether it’s off the edge or on the interior. 2. You couldn’t double team him when he was lined up on the interior. He said that the interior was his favorite place to line up because that’s where he won the most. He was too quick for centers and guards. It's a shame his faith was barely mentioned in the video. With all this talk about race mattering these days, I have to say that as a Christian of a different race than myself, Reggie White was an inspiration to me as a young man showing that no matter what your job was or what you did that you are a representative of Christ. He did that very well and "ministered" to a lot of his coworkers. That is just as big of a part of his legacy as his many sacks. Someone doesn't have to look like you to make an impact.
He would say to the guy facing him "Jesus is coming for ya Jesus is coming for ya. Are you ready for Jesus? I'm gonna bring ya to your maker. Prepare to meet your maker I am the Apocalypse." He was known as the Minister of Defense.
@@tocadadj2951 Tell that to Reggie White, right after he makes the sack on ya. For him, the grid iron was the Minister of Defense's altar upon which he would sacrifice quarterbacks. 2. You couldn’t double team him when he was lined up on the interior. He said that the interior was his favorite place to line up because that’s where he won the most. He was too quick for centers and guards.
I’ve never seen that kind of dominance in my life, and I might not ever see it again. There have been a lot of great defensive linemen over the years, but I’m sorry, I couldn’t find one as good as the Minister of Defense.
Looked at this twice, there never will be another Reggie White !!!!!!!!
The Minister of Defense 🏈🏈🏈
BEST PLAYER EVER TO WEAR A PRO NFL UNIFORM...IM A GREEN BAY PACKER FAN SINCE DAY ONE..THANK YOU REGGIE WHITE FOR SOME AWESOME MEMORIES...R.I.P. CHAMP!!!!! #1
True definition of Beast Mode
A man who lived before his time. Reggie, Bless You. May you rest in peace. And thank you for the pleasure you gave to millions. 🙏🏼
Honestly Reggie is one of those players that you could put on any team regardless of scheme or personal and hed work, his skills could translate to any team due to his ridiculous combination of Size, Speed and Power.
I watched Reggie in college more than I did in the pros. It didn't matter who he was going against, or how many were on him. He wasn't going to be stopped, and he'd wreck the play, unless the quarterback got rid of it quickly!
He’s easily a T-8 player of all-time. Him Sanders & Taylor are probably the only defensive guys I’d take over any QB in an All-Time Draft.
Derrick thomas
@Harry Engel well that team would
Win. Every game.
Sanders was an amazing corner against the pass. Not so much against the run.
Over TB12 tho??
@@Ynkno yes...only because the qb position is soooooo deep....you could pass on Brady and still land a hof super bowl winning qb
Best defensive lineman ever. Dominated at all 4 D-line positions. In an era that didn’t pass as much as today. Look at how he was unblockable he was.
Greatest Defensive Player of All Time! God rest his soul. 🙏 The Minister of Defense is the real deal.
The GOAT
Go pack go
He had amazing leverage
The best player, regardless of position, in NFL history.
TV12?
@@Ynkno Tom Brady a cheater
He’s not even the best Defensive player, that’s LT.
That’s funny cause LT said Reggie was better than him so you’re opinion means nothing
@@williamstocker584truly means nothing. Honorable of LT to say that but it’s LT then Reggie
Absolute beast!
I agree with you random citizen!
@@NFLVault thanks NFL throwback as a diehard packers fan and hopefully packers 49ers 97 nfc championship the team white was on that made back to back super bowls I'm sure that will be on this channel eventually
Being a Washington Redskins fan I saw Reggie White up close twice a year and sometimes 3 times if both teams made the playoffs... Reggie White was and unstoppable monster. He was just as good as Lawrence Taylor, maybe not as spectacular but the second greatest defensive player I ever saw... He threw grown offensive linemen around like you flick eye boogers... Sad that he died at such a young age...Truly a man amongst men...
He put Green Bay back on the map. God Rest your soul Minister. It was such a privilege to watch you play. Thank you.🤛🙏😞
the way he threw Larry Allen... man
lol crazy
I'm a Bears fan and to hear the way some people talk up Khalil Mack as if he is on the level of White or LT is ridiculous.
That strength is awe inspiring
The 🐐 defense end ever. What a incredible player and human being. What the hell were the vikings thinking having Chris Carter try to block Reggie at 13.40🤣.
Maybe they thought he'd trip over Carter
I wish I could've seen him play live. He is really great
Everyone in the comments is saying that Reggie is the greatest defensive lineman ever.. no.. he’s the greatest defensive PLAYER ever
big big amen to that!!
Yahtzee ❤
Lawrence Taylor
@@AM-wi6zo i like taylor but reggie was a little better lol but you cant go wrong either way though!!
Naaa... Lawrence Taylor was the greatest defense player of all time.
I think he’s some sort of super human! Someone should not be able to rag doll another man like that!!! Good golly! Simply the best to ever do it!
Could you do Warren Moon highlights? His release was incredible
K
HE NEEDS TO DO ONE ON MR. RONNIE LOTT! IN MY OPINION THE GREATEST DEFENDER I EVER SAW.
His spirals were TIGHT! Could probably throw in car wash w/out ball getting wet!
That would last all of 30 secs
Woman beater moon oh him....
Love watching these old highlights!
Wish he retired a packer always forgot panthers stint
It's a shame his faith was barely mentioned in the video. With all this talk about race mattering these days, I have to say that as a Christian of a different race than myself, Reggie White was an inspiration to me as a young man showing that no matter what your job was or what you did that you are a representative of Christ. He did that very well and "ministered" to a lot of his coworkers. That is just as big of a part of his legacy as his many sacks. Someone doesn't have to look like you to make an impact.
Amen my brother in Christ
He would say to the guy facing him "Jesus is coming for ya Jesus is coming for ya. Are you ready for Jesus? I'm gonna bring ya to your maker. Prepare to meet your maker I am the Apocalypse."
He was known as the Minister of Defense.
This is football not religion
@@tocadadj2951 Tell that to Reggie White, right after he makes the sack on ya. For him, the grid iron was the Minister of Defense's altar upon which he would sacrifice quarterbacks. For Reggie, it was not only a religion, but a spiritual battle, most of which he won. Now let us pray 🙏 , okay? oK G💪💪D!!
Thanks 😊
What was so great about him was he could just destroy the Oline through the edge and through the middle. And he did that for 20 years. Unreal longevity and career value from such a crucial position. Its why he's the best ever.
Having LT, Derrick Thomas, and Reggie White in that era must be super scary.
Derrick Thomas is not a name you hear of very often. That guy could take over a game....underrated.
@@brianmartin3084 Had 6 sacks in one game. Insane.
Grew up with Reggie in Chattanooga Tennessee. REGGIE WAS A TREMENDOUS BASKETBALL PLAYER IN HIGH SCHOOL AS WELL AND HE PLAYED TIGHT END ON OFFENSE. HE WAS A TREMENDOUS TREMENDOUS ATHLETE And a TREMENDOUS Individual.
He was throwing grown 300+ men around like nothing 😂💪🏽
This is a 🔥🔥🔥 video the greatest defensive lineman ever reggie is one of a kind player
Damn I'm a Cowboys & to see him throw Larry Allen right at the beginning that tell you all you need to know Larry Allen was the best lineman of the 90s
Ya if you seen the colts larry allen video on this channel that tells you how impressive white was lol
Not just the 90s of all time
@@frankfrega1302 shit honestly you probably right I remember see him kill it on them Pro Bowl bench press nobody was stronger 💪 Larry Allen was a badass 😎
From Chattanooga Tennessee
He was an absolute game changer a dominator.
Reggie will always be my favorite football player! He played at my Alma Mater and spent most of his career with my favorite pro team, GB. Rest in peace Minister of Defense.
He tossed Larry Allen down like he was a 185 pound man. This is the same Larry Allen who is in the Hall of Fame and is considered one of the best Left Tackles to ever play the game and one of the best offensive linemen to ever play the game. That’s how dominant Reggie White was as a defensive player period. I don’t put LT and Reg 1 and 2. I put them as 1A and 1B because they both wrecked havoc on teams.
Larry Allen was a guard tho.
Larry played guard fool
Allen also said Reggie was the best d lineman so hush child
Damn!!! Look at how he did Larry Allen... RESPECT
That's over the top.
Best defensive lineman of all time hands down!
Then the debate today would be what would be the top 5 all-time defensive ends
I met him in Charlotte at a Christian telethon. I couldn't get over his size. I shook his hand and mine disappeared. I remember all the scars on his hands from the trenches. He was a gentle giant.
Defensive G.O.A.T
He played before I was born for two teams I don’t particularly like and a team I hate, a decent amount of his highlights are against my favourite team, but he’s still one of my favourite players to watch.
I've always said, if I could build an NFL defense, Reggie White would be one of my captains 🏈
I will always love ❤ Reggie white, stay blessed mighty and strong.
