There’s hungry. And then there’s “22-gyoza-orders” hungry.
That's a "stern talking to from the chef" level of hungry.
He's got that gyoza craving going in me!! 😂 Gosh those things are delish!!
That's what impatience gets you. He caught it tho😅
i mean, what's wrong with wanting 22 orders of delicious delicious gyoza?
That's the first time I heard you say you were sea sick. Curry is always delicious. I saw guys on a Japanese navy vessel cooking curry for the crew on board it was the best-looking curry ever. I could just imagine how magnificent it tasted. I thought about you right away.
We all sing... Sunflower... sunflower... just because!
Hell yeah 😂 Sunflower... Sunflower.. 😂
😂
That absolutely, was not, skillet pizza. That, was a crispy tortilla.
I wish I had the means to send you a real Chicago pizza because it's nothing like the ferry version. Love your adventures.
😂 22 items of the same order. Good thing you caught that fast😅
I knew BEFORE you started eating the curry that you would need more rice.
That is not a pizza, it is a tostada... Those gyoza looked amazing. So did the lemon steak.
I thought for a pizza, it looked pretty weird
I was going to say just that about the pizza.
I agree. That "pizza crust" looks more like the taco salad shells at Taco Bell than an actual pizza crust.
Agreed,that's a tostada,not a pizza. But,everything else looks good. Safe travels,STJ!
Thanks for your continued awesome videos.
I'm glad you remembered to bring the seasickness pills this time, man; they must have knocked you out! For you to be in bed still at 11:00 a.m., you were tired!! Yes, the meals looked a bit sad this time; they just matched the weather you had. The gyoza crisis was funny, but I don't think you could have tolerated all 22 without any concerns. Maybe 15, but not 22 plates of nine. So happy touring, and take us along with you.
Sun flower Sun flower Taiyo ni mamoraratei (Let the sun protect us)
"It's small so it doesn't count..." 🤣
THATS WHAT SHE SAID!
I'm sorry I'll see myself out
@@TheAmazingDrCheat ha ! 🤣
And then he added another bowl of rice LOL I love this guy!
I think skillet pizza is a better name for that dish and it didn’t look too great. But it is definitely, in no way shape or form, Chicago style nor was it when they called it that in your previous video. I love your content, thanks so much for sharing! 😊🎉
lmao, your addiction to curry,i love it!
The lemon steak looked very tender and flavorful!
Come on, you could have eaten 22 gyoza! 😂
My friend sensationl this food looks so delicious boy I can't wait to travel to Japan in a couple of years be safe much love have fun for me ❤
Thanks for the video but a cabin with washroom please. Sad no English translations on the menu but thank you for interesting travelogue
That's not a pizza. That's a tostada. It's ususally a fried or toasted flour tortilla. Looked like they just put that one on the skillet until it was really hard. 😂
Must be good stabilisation on that camera, because the ship didn't seem to be rolling or pitching much at all.
Horses have their own mackerel now? 😂🐴🦈
Thank you. That was a wet trip. The food looked good though
Very nice trip. Fun seeing the food. Much better fresh vs. Vending machine microwaved. Thanks STJ from Michigan!
Why you’re not sponsored by a beef curry brand is beyond me
At 20 minutes that weird pizza looks like hardtack.
It looked awful LOL No one has said it yet so I will! 😉
I admired your attempt at not having the curry right away and 22 orders of gyoza would have settled your stomach the next day😊 The skillet pizza looks like what I would consider a taco shell for taco salad. How do you not get seasick in the small room with no windows? Thanks for taking us on another great!
During your late night diner after checking in....music from Ennio Morricone, Once upon a Time in America, beautiful movie and even more beautiful music❤
6:19 3rd item down left side, curry? 8:27 yes it is :) 11:22 Ladies and gentlemen, we have curry !
I thought that beef dish looked really good. Thanks for another awesome video STJ 😊
I like the Japanese blues music that they were playing on the last meal.
STJ, travel to Chicago to get real Chicago deep dish pizza!
$80 worth of gyoza, that would be the order of the century
Great trip. The fastest ship between Tokyo and Shinmoji, because it didn't need to stop in Tokushima. The dinner won't be completed without curry. This ship definitely workhorse, only rest about 3-4 hours after sailing around 21 hours. Can't imagine if this ship needs maintenance.
I got stuck with an inside cabin on a Norwegian Cruise Line Liner. First & Last time for an inside cabin 😮
11:03 "I'm still hungry." 2 seconds later "I'm Just Looking." 6 Seconds after that, "Regular Size" followed by "It's small, so it doesn't count." Man, if you're looking for some Japanese Curry action, you don't need to explain it to us. I think all of us would be in for a curry, especially after a good beer. That just goes together.
Great minds think alike! I also had a shirasu pizza on my trip to Tokyo a few weeks ago. Mine was shirasu garlic, ¥500 at Happy hour, and the crust was very thin like yours. You could cut my pizza, but you could snap it.
Im glad you tried the lemon steak. It looked good 😉
That "skillet pizza" was a travesty.
Wonderful thank you! 🙂
18:32 To be fair, there are times I feel like I could eat 22 orders of gyoza! That whitefish pizza looks like the shell they serve taco salads in. More like a baked tortilla than proper pizza dough.
One of the reasons why I love holidaying in Japan is exactly because English is not widely spoken; this fact forces me to slow down, find ways to communicate and learn
DOMO 🙏 SOLO FOR SHARING THE JOURNEY 🛳️🛳️🛳️
That food looks promising!!!
They probably changed the name of the pizza because someone from Chicago straightened them out on that 😅
“Nothin’ personal…just business.” 😉
If anyone could eat 22 servings of gyoza it would be you! I believe in you Solo-san!! 😂
Thanks for sharing love your videos thanks again ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for another upload! This is one "chill out come back to earth" long boat ride! I am interested for sure, but another part of me feel I don't have the patience, unless I am the captain of the ship!
I don't know what that was, but it wasn't "pizza". I'll take the 22 orders of gyoza though!
I'm glad you do these videos because it's a good reminder not to go on one 😆 I could never stand the speaker announcements and the music they play.
Dear Curry San. Knew your favorite was going to get eaten as soon as you said you wouldn't. I love that about you! They must have been compeled by logic to drop the Chicago Pizza name, for that is NOT in any way a Chicago pizza. 22 Gyozas might have been a little much for you, though... even you! ✌🤟
A 20 hour vacation. You eat sleep drink beer bathe watch ocean. Great!
Interesting, funny and I am hungry as usual now
11:35 this video wouldn't be complete without a curry review!
That "pizza" looks more like what I would call a type of nachos. Was the curious paste wasabi?
I am not sure what that is at 19:01 but its not Pizza.. its more like Taco Salad?!?!?!
Oh yeah !!!!! Time to travel !!!!!!
Thank you for the trip. I am hungry.
Amazing ❤
Amazing trip
It would have been a smoother ride on a Sunflower Ferrie. with that song playing in the background. To calm us down, I'm Just saying.
That pizza looked more like a taco salad I had once.
I have a question. Are the ferries usually deserted? I'm a long-time fan and I've noticed that you seem to be alone on every ship. I'm just wondering if they run when they have very few passengers; probably because cargo is also being run by the ship, isn't it?
That pizza looks more like a tostada bowl, Japanese style
Your stomach must be as boundless as the sea its self. I would be full for the whole trip after lunch. 😅
Chicago pizza 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭. That was just stuff on a crispy tortilla 😅.
Awesome video
Lol! The curry bit was so funny!
that skillet thing was terrible for the money the gyoza and the rest of the food and beer are priced nice and look great...so is this price including a car also or is that just a person price? I never see a car experience great video always and the skillet steak and mackeral looked great but expensive
Do routes within the islands tend to be smoother than the ones out to sea? Do you always bring seasick pills just in case? Cabin too small for me, unless you dont intend to be in there much. 20 hours is a bit of a block of time. Eating on rough seas. So brave. Thanks for sharing your trip!
That's a closet with a bed on it. But it wasn't very expensive so still good.
Not the Chicago pizza again!
Lack of English isn't as big a deal as it used to be, as Google Translate is pretty good now. Provided you have internet access of course. Food looked pretty decent this trip. Though I love how the curry is more sauce and rice than anything else no matter where you go.
you need to tell the ferry people to stop lying about that "pizza" and come to chicago sometime if you really want to try some pizza!
Or NYC. Hell, you'd get better in Little Rock, AR than that thing.
Great video and food I never asked but looks good
I try not to judge because all cultures are different. But vinegared innards? Is that really good? For ferries I think all you can eat buffets are best.
9:45 that's a nice violin version of Je Te Veux
"I'm taking a 20-hour ferry to try the new menu," "I'm just looking at the curry," "I'm getting a small size curry so it doesn't count," it's like a greatest hits album of your top reasons.😂
I was surprised when you said this ferry went into service in 2021; did it replace an older, decommissioned ship?
As for that pizza, no. I'm going to Chicago tomorrow, and I am going to tell them about this Japanese fish taco bowl, and they will be sad.
Dude that is not pizza. It looks like a tostada bowl with tiny fish in it.
That music in the restaurant 😮
pigging it out!
I thought I heard a cat meow at about 9 minutes in. I thought 'how odd, he's on a ship and there's a cat there. Must be a kid and I heard it wrong'. What I heard wrong was where the meow was coming from. Turns out my cat wanted to go into my room and meowed at the perfect volume that it blended in with the sounds from the video.
STJ, have you seen the anti motion sickness glasses? They have a blue fluid in the frame, I heard they were pretty effective
Like your videos that cabin you stayed in looked like a prison cell tho ,the ship was very clean.
Would of laughed my sock's off if 22 order's of gyoza came out in a line , him 4/37am wandering around the ship, and the best was for last CURRY!!!
That was not skillet pizza😂!
More like a tostada?
Yesssss!
Man! I just had back surgery and I haven’t eaten is a couple days. I saw that mackerel in the miso and thought I was gonna lose it! 🤢🤮
I too enjoy 22 orders of Gyoza with my lunch.
Is that a thin mattress or a second sheet?
Pizza?😂 Hi from Naples(Italy)😊😉
26:06 - Ah yes, the Lemon Sour Chu-hi. "It's not really strong." If you stick to just one, you're safe, but they don't call -196 Strong Zero the "gaijun killer" for nothing.
I have seen you aboard the Queen Mary 2 And I know you're a tall person will that bed even fit you. It looks kind of short. Have a great day.
It is generous to call that "beef curry" when 95% of it is sauce with only 5% beef. I would have to order 4 of those just to get enough beef! 😁
When you showed the menu on the wall with the "Late night snack menu", I spied the curry and knew it would end up in front of you.
I love that you enjoy your curries so much.
Oops! 22 Gyoza? I don't think you could eat that many servings, even on your hungriest days. They did look amazing, though!
No, that's not skillet pizza. It looks like they took a flour tortilla and sprinkled toppings on it. Pizzas are made with dough and should have some give to them.
You haven't tried skillet pizza before? You still haven't. That is a tortilla. Not pizza.😅🎉
In India we generally have no choice of food it's only chicken curry, dal, roti with sabji and this same menu continued over the years there is no change in dessert u get vanilla ice cream
It's small so it doesn't count. I'm going to use that for all my treats hehe.
I wish I could cook Beef Curry for you. Leaving the pin bones in the fish is an accident waiting to happen.
Dude ! That’s no where near skillet pizza !! Come visit Chicago and try deep dish pizza
Bit of a stretch to call that a "pizza"...Also your dinner converts to about €19. The fact you're on a ship i find that quite good value for money.
Besides being sea sick we're you nervous hearing things rattle like that due to the sea? I know I would
