I always like to imagine what it feels like to wander around the ship at night, the slight rocking, the quiet hush of background noises, dimmed lights. Reminds me of when I was a kid and I would just wander around the trains I was on at night, exploring the different cars, seeing what nighttime was like. So cozy.
Tried this ferry on this route with my car earlier this year. Good price and great service and the journey exceeded all my expectations. Early evening departure and morning arrival is a great efficient way in saving sleeping time and accommodation cost. Onsen being a bonus. Strongly recommended.
For those wondering on where some of the previous Japanese ferry ships that this one replaced go. Here in the Philippines, a company named 2Go Ferry acquire some of these Japanese decommissioned old ships, renovated some parts and currently use them to travel to different provinces of the country. That is why when you ride these ships in the Philippines you will still see Japanese worn out written labels, stickers and signs in many places of the ship. Some Japanese toilets are still even being used today. One example is ghe current 2Go Ferry named Maligaya was a former Hankyu Ferry named Yamato for the Kobe-Kitakyushu route launched in 2003. There are also travel vlogs about those ships you can watch here in YT.
"The Breakfast menu is limited..." but there's always curry, Solo San! :) Curry is a life force. :) Thanks for another great ferry video. I will now hum the Sunflower song... :) Cheers!
I've watched a lot of your videos, but can't remember if I've commented before. I really love your content, it's great to watch and relax and the end of a long day.
“I bet some viewers are hamming the Sunflower song right now” Oh my gosh you know us so well 😂 That’s such a beautiful ferry, I hope to take it someday! I’d buy allll the Funeko souvenirs.
Wow you can tell there's school kids on the ship, not used to the noisy background in a video from Japan especially during meal time. Unless it's for entertainment. But it's nice to hear people having fun and enjoying themselves. Also you caught me, yes every time I see a ferry video sunflower song in my head lol
It is 1am my time and after looking at two of your videos I am hungry and need to start cooking... thanks so much these are interesting both from the food ideas as well as the insight into the cultural differences. Superb. Alex.,
Alright my friend another sensationl journey I see love these videos this came through just in time depression is no joke that's why I love watching your videos much love be safe have fun
Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹. I really enjoy all your travel time which you gently share. You seemed to be a very witty individual and one can see you plan everything cautiously in advance. Keep up your good work. I have been learning a lot about your Japan 🇯🇵. All the best and thank you!
9:09 I can’t hum or sing but yes it’s in my head 😂 last week I taught a class called the super sunflowers…I could hear it all day 😂 There’s worse things…it’s not the 🦈 shark! 😂
9:20 - For some reason, the Sunflower theme has been stuck in my head all day. In a few weeks, I'm going to try booking a room on a Sunflower to Tomakomai, and I'm very excited about that.
Thanks to u that i’ve come to know abt Akashi Kaikyo bridge. Because of ur vids i finally get to drive across the bridge to kobe after naruto whirlpools. 😊
I would have gotten in the tub under ther full moon light...lol.. Not crazy about all the colors. It looks like a rainbow threw up. 🌊💙⚓💙🛳️💙🐳💙 Marvelous Journey. Thank You. ps..was the round fish cake octopus?
Oh goody, an STJ video! I like them all, but the ferry ones are the best. I'm still at the beginning but just had to post! The price seems pretty reasonable compared to a comparable hotel, AND you get a scenic boat ride!
You always eat all the cookies🤣🤣 and haven't won the "Funeko" Cushion yet. I wonder what the outcome would have been if you had tried for the smaller Funeko toy? I always love the videos. The moonshot was great.
The Royal Suite looked spacious and comfortable! The balcony was perfect for your trip. The food did appear to be downsized and a bit more pricey than before. Did they have desserts for supper or breakfast? The curry dish didn't have anything else to it like beef or veggies and I was thinking it was watered down too. But, it was a relaxing excursion ❤
Thank you. You should have tried the other claw game. The one in the plastic would be hard to get. I would love to stay in that room. I love that terminal. Do you know of where I can get a copy of the Sunflower song? Greetings from Canada.
I can’t get over how cost effective these ferries are. The cost of a night in a hotel room, plus the cost of travel across the country, all for $213! In the royal cabin no less!
I just said, i wonder if u stand near enough if u can hear the sunflower song..the started singing it.....yeah ur quite right, we were "hamming the sunflower song" 😂😂😂
Having subscribed to your channel since you first started, I got so used to you turning off the speaker volume first thing when you enter a room, so much so that I found myself feeling almost annoyed when you finally turned it off in this instance. Your habit(s) has unwittingly grown on us viewers 😂
Did you mention the vessel's service speed? If so, I missed it. At 640 ft long this must be a contender for the longest vessel in all the ferry fleets.
Your videos are so relaxing. They also have me very interested in Japan. I am only concerned as a visible minority if I would have any problems. I am a quiet history and fitness buff. Any advice?🤔

Blessed are those who heed the Sunflowers call. Thank you for great content!
Love watching this channel right before I go to bed. They are relaxing to watch.

I know it will be a good evening, when a new video from Solo Travel shows up. ❤
"The Breakfast menu is limited..." but there's always curry, Solo San! :) Curry is a life force. :) Thanks for another great ferry video. I will now hum the Sunflower song... :) Cheers!
I'm new here and I just have to say that I love the content!! This is such a great video experience!!
Once the sunflower song is heard, it is with you forever.
🎶 🌻 🌻 🎵
I've watched a lot of your videos, but can't remember if I've commented before. I really love your content, it's great to watch and relax and the end of a long day.
I dream of taking the ferries of Japan, so peaceful.
Hi Solo have a nice trip I enjoy your videos love from Rockingham NC USA ❤❤❤❤
One day I would love to take one of these ferries. Until that time, I will just watch you and your journeys. Thank you
“I bet some viewers are hamming the Sunflower song right now” Oh my gosh you know us so well 😂
That’s such a beautiful ferry, I hope to take it someday! I’d buy allll the Funeko souvenirs.
The Settsu is a beautiful ship. A modest and welcoming ambiance.
it's always so nice to see you enjoy your meal. it gives me motivation to enjoy meals too. thank u.

You read my mind in humming the SUNFLOWER SONG! YOUR OLD SUNFLOWER VIDS GOT ME THROUGH SOME DARK DAYS AND NIGHTS! THANK YOU!
Good work. I think this is the nicest stateroom you’ve had since I joined.
I'm really happy to travel once a month
Super exciting indeed to travel very soon
"I'm ready to eat" 😃😂
"!!" 👀 😁
“Women’s one on the other side”
"Let's look at the map".
That was a very nice room. Better than others. Thank you for sharing.
You are the CEO of our hearts, STJ! ❤😂
I love your ferry videos the most I think. Your dedication to detail is most appreciated so thank you STJ 😊
Ahh, curry. It makes the voyage worthwhile.
Nice accommodations.
Thank you for the video. Very nice.
WOW! ❤ (I sing the Sunflower song whenever I hear Sunflower).
Love that you can turn the speaker off.
The bathroom looked very relaxing.
Great videos...the ferries alone make me want to visit JAPAN!

Definitely had the Sunflower theme in my head when you mentioned it.
“This will also stop by the Sunflower Ferry Terminal.”
(music starts in head)
NOT AGAIN!!!
It's such a happy song. I sing it all the time. I only know the first few words 😂
same!
Ooo thanks, just what I needed to watch 😁something calm & relaxing

Your right I was humming the Sunflower 🌻 song
Beautiful cabin, that toilet would be very special high end here. Shrinkflation is everywhere. Thanks for the trip🎉
lovely shields ❤❤
Oh goody, an STJ video! I like them all, but the ferry ones are the best. I'm still at the beginning but just had to post!
The price seems pretty reasonable compared to a comparable hotel, AND you get a scenic boat ride!
I was humming the Sunflower song long before you showed the ship! 🤣
I hope you had a nice trip
15:39 “I became healthy” 😂😂😂 I love when you make these funny comments!
You always eat all the cookies🤣🤣 and haven't won the "Funeko" Cushion yet. I wonder what the outcome would have been if you had tried for the smaller Funeko toy? I always love the videos. The moonshot was great.

Small breakfast, fried eggs and curry on rice! Hahahaha I would call that small lunch. Thanks for the video, very nice cabin.
Amazing journey ❤
Amazing trip
One day I’ll do this 😊
Alright the curry man is back on a ferry made my day today.
He says the toilet is basic and I'm thinking i might need help if it was me, lol
That was fun. Thank you, Hankyu...🙂
4:45... the setup is way bigger and luxurious than my Japanese hotel when I visited before 🤣🤣
Dang I really was humming Sunflower! lol
We need a spooky sunflower Halloween trip😊
ahhhhh I want the Funeko T Shirt in white
❤❤
Thanks for always supporting! Have a nice weekend :)
6:05 while sunflower ferry is well known for "sunflower, sunflower, taiyo ni mamorete"
Great trip. Looks like it's better to have original goods of Ferry Company on store rather than claw machine.
Solo San, I have a favor to ask please: When you are on a ship, can you please show us the deck plans for each deck? It is so informative.
Beautiful ❤
Interested to know how you ate those fried eggs leaving no trace of them on the plate??? That's skill! They looked so delicious, btw... ✌🤟
Wow. A ferry terminal that doesn't look like a petrol refinery but is actually pretty. That's a first.
Thank you. You should have tried the other claw game. The one in the plastic would be hard to get. I would love to stay in that room. I love that terminal. Do you know of where I can get a copy of the Sunflower song? Greetings from Canada.
Whatever happened to that fresh bread you ordered?
I can’t get over how cost effective these ferries are.
The cost of a night in a hotel room, plus the cost of travel across the country, all for $213!
In the royal cabin no less!
and it gives you access to so many beautiful sights and interesting places!
2 of my favorite characters from Japanese anime, Galaxy Express 999
Hey! Someone came into your royal suite and ate your second cookie! (at 18:35).
I just said, i wonder if u stand near enough if u can hear the sunflower song..the started singing it.....yeah ur quite right, we were "hamming the sunflower song" 😂😂😂
i like those cat stuff especially the shirts lol
Love your video . Shrinkflation , funny one.lol
I'd much rather do this (or any of your other ferry trips) than the party cruises that go around the Caribbean here in the US.
Can you just book them back to back? I would love that.
The eggs need a little of that breakfast curry.😋
Nice shoutout to us Sunflower fans! 🛳
Wot! No dessert?
Will there be curry?....................................YES!!! for breakfast, curry, the breakfast of champions!!!
Having subscribed to your channel since you first started, I got so used to you turning off the speaker volume first thing when you enter a room, so much so that I found myself feeling almost annoyed when you finally turned it off in this instance. Your habit(s) has unwittingly grown on us viewers 😂
Sunflower, sunflower...
Did you mention the vessel's service speed? If so, I missed it. At 640 ft long this must be a contender for the longest vessel in all the ferry fleets.
He had his curry !!! Yay..
Thats a really LOUD public service announcement loop. Then you get to the JVC knob.
每個房間門下方都有一個大大房間號真的很貼心的設計.
Your videos are so relaxing. They also have me very interested in Japan.
I am only concerned as a visible minority if I would have any problems. I am a quiet history and fitness buff. Any advice?🤔
What camera and microphone is this?
Will we ever see you winning in a crane game? :D
9:09 you got me 😂
I have a serious question: how often do you see gatcha on the ferries? I think this is the first time I've seen one in your videos.
I cannot get my head around curry for breakfast !
