My son passed away suddenly in his sleep three months ago, just two months before his 17th birthday. He was and always will be on my mind. This song has me in tatters remembering the two of us singing this song together while driving him to school when he was a little younger. Beautiful song, beautiful memories. I love you Andrew, wish we had more time...❤
My dad died just over a year ago. This song, and Willie Nelson, were two of his faves. I've been hearing repeated reminders recently, to play this song. I know it's him, still loving me from the other side. As someone else here said, love never dies.
oh my goodness 😢😢❤❤❤ this is my most favorite song. Ummmm yes I have Loved this song since I was in high school.I think it is so beautiful and loving words. Touches my heart each time..
My Mom unexpectedly passed in 2023. It was well before her time. My Dad wasn't a real romantic man and I think he regrets that, but Mom knew he loved her and she never doubted that. At my Mom's funeral, before they closed her casket for the final time, my Dad asked me and my brother to stay behind with him for a minute. Dad had the funeral home play this song overhead. My Daddy sung this entire song to my Momma. The pain and tears in his eyes were palpable and something I will never forget. Thanks Willie for this song 🎶 . Your song was my Dad's last gift to my Mom and it meant so much to him to be able to express every regret and painful emotion he felt wrapped up in one song. That entire day was a blur for me; however, standing over my mom's casket, seeing her for the last time, me holding my dad's hand while listening to him sing this final song to the love of his life, of 49 years, is one moment that'll be etched in my heart and soul until my last breath..... That horrible and gut wrenching day, my Dad showed me the true meaning of unconditional love in life and in death ❤ I miss you Momma and I hope you are flying high with the angels 🌌. Rest easy for your work on earth is done 💜
My wife and I went to Hawaii years ago and happened to notice a flyer tacked to the wall at the Concierge's desk about Willie Nelson. When I asked, he told me it to was support local talent, and was a last minute notice. It cost about 10 dollars, and featured several groups, some with and some wirthout much talent. BUT, then Willie came on with his crew and blew the the place apart. Folding chairs on the grass, maybe fifty feet from the man himself, for 10 bucks in Hawaii!!!!!!! Beat that!!!
My husband sent me this video 2 weeks before he passed unexpectedly. We were married for 54 years. This song is him to a tee he was not openly affectionate but I loved him dearly. I cry uncontrollably when I hear this it is so beautiful.
I lost my husband from a 3 year stroke and that was his song to me and we were married in 1982. He looked and could sing like Willie and the day hospice took him away, ask him to sing this one last time. He could barely speak but he sang, YOU WERE ALWAYS ON MY MIND. I am constantly playing this song and I feel him with me! Thank you WILLIE NELSON
My mom dedicated this song to me after I left for the service in 2004. We had our struggles as we found our way through my childhood. She is in heaven now watching over me, and it’s my turn to dedicate this song to her.
I played this song for my wife as she was dying from Alizheimers thru my phone..i put it by her ear..we were married 61yrs..she died 2days after our anniversery..i miss her
This is a wonderful song to remember your spouse! I’m sorry for your loneliness~ we were made to be a pair~ not alone. My husband passed in his sleep beside me~ we had 14.5yrs together~ I still miss him
My husband and I had some very rough times in our marriage. About 20 years ago he said this song is for me from him. He said he was sorry for all the hard times. He passed away 3 years ago and we had always loved one another. We were married 3 weeks shy of 50 years. I listen to this now and weep. I miss him so much and I am thankful that he used this song to help heal my heart and to show his love for me.
Hello Carol , Good afternoon. His songs are amazing and heart touching for real. Love it❤. So Sorry about your husband, I believe he’s resting peacefully in heaven.
Hello Carol sorry about your loss I love this song and lost my love of 50 years I was never into country music being a old rock and roller but I love this song as it was one of her favorites ❤God bless you and keep on keeping on
@@barbaracurtis4506 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can makes you feel better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello makes you smile
There are only a handful of songs in history that you never get tired of. This is one of them. Happy birthday Willie in 2024 still rocking 😎 I loved Elvis' version also !
oh my goodness 😢😢❤❤❤ this is my most favorite song. Ummmm yes I have Loved this song since I was in high school.I think it is so beautiful and loving words. Touches my heart each time...
Thank you for your comments and love towards me❤️ this is my personal UA-cam page and my official page is managed by my manager and i open this page to do my fans survey and it really funny when people think I can’t chat with my fans and normal people in the society they got it wrong because they haven’t know my humble life style, thank you for your support and for being a great fan of me ❤️.... How long have you been my fan?
Lost my wife of 20 years on 1/5/24 to a mild flu of all things, she was 52. She loved country music and I was rock and roll. Any time this song came on she'd want to dance to it. Can't count the number of times we danced around the kitchen to this. The song hits so much deeper now. Miss ya Grumps.
My brother died today, a Harley accident. Out of the blue I was guided to this song. I will share it with his first wife. He was the first love of her life. I miss him
I'm sorry about your brother. I know how it feels but at least you were there and for me, my brother passed away in the States some years ago. I couldn't attend his funeral cause I didn't have the visa and it would take too long. I miss him even more than now when I hear this song!
My beloved wife died recently after 64 years of happy marriage. God Bless you Willie Nelson for being there with us on the day of her funeral and the words "Tell me that your sweet love never dies" will stay with me forever.
My son turns 14 this year. Tears rolling my eyes, this song resonates with me in a level like no other song. I only have him every 1st / 3rd / 5th weekend and it’s like he’s growing quicker by the minute. Man, Isaiah you’re always on my mind buddy. I love you
Prayers brother my son hasnt saw his daughters in eight years but must pay that child support government does not know what their doing to the cildren and the fathers my heart goes out to you
As a father I've been through something similar in my son's earlier years. It's heartbreaking that there is an active participating father who's willing and able to be a part of a child's life and yet there are restrictions. I would never put those types of things on my child. The court system weaponizes children and that really sucks. I hope you don't give up or lose sight of the important things. Will pray for you.
I never really listened to this song until my wife passed away. No matter where I was, what I was doing, she really was on my mind. I miss her so much.
Sorry for your loss man. 😢 I couldn't imagine losing my wife. I hope I go first. Stay strong and surround yourself with loved ones. Remember the good times and be thankful for the moments you had with her. ✌
I'm so excited. I FINALLY get to take my 77 year old dad to see Willie play in concert in a few weeks. My pops and I have seen soo many concerts together but we never had been able to see Willie. He is 89 now and I am blown away that we even get this opportunity.
Thank you so very very much❣️❣️This is what this awfully messed up world needs more of that’s for sure💝 I wish you all the best in life also and nothing but immensely high vibrations💞💗💞
Leaves me speechless and in tears every time. Such a beautiful song with the lyrics reflecting a man being honest and vulnerable. This is my favorite Willie song. Thanks Willie!
I had a daughter who died at 4 months old, having never made it home from the hospital and I didn't get to spend nearly as much time with her as I wish I had during her short life. These lyrics don't really make a lot of sense in that context but this song always makes me think of her and never fails to get the tears flowing. Love you Sam. xo
+ChooseReason It doesn't matter if it makes much sense in that particular context. What really matters is that you found something that touches that feeling deep down inside and helps to soothe your heart and soul.
Played at my dad's funeral, can't listen to this without crying my eyes out. Miss you pop's. You grand babies now have babies, there all doing good. Rest in peace Thurston Lee People's.
Extraordinary how this particular song strikes so deeply in listeners! I doubt if anyone who hears it does not feel moved and personally involved. No matter how it is covered, every version seems to strike a vulnerable chord somewhere. Every way it is sung it has its emotional effect somewhere.
Willie Nelson still reckons that Always on My Mind was the best song Elvis ever crooned. 'People are always telling me how well I sing Always on My Mind', declared Willie. 'But the plain truth is, it was always meant for Elvis. I only sang it myself as an afterthought and now I'm not allowed off a stage without performing it.
Everytime I here this song I stop whatever I'm doing. This is a masterly sung song. Willie Nelson owns this piece. I'm a black jazz singer and I'm determined to come as close to the emotional delivery Mr. Nelson has set. This borders on brilliance!!!
Dedicated to my parents, this was their lullaby whenever they want us to go on afternoon nap when my siblings and I were young. We were on a huge rattan hammock that can accommodate 5 kids with Dad or with Mom. I love you dear beloved parents in heaven, we miss you even if am now 60 yrs old. Thank you for rearing us so well.
This could possibly be the greatest song ever written. No song makes me feel so sad and so happy at the same time. It's it possible to smile and cry at the same time. It just reminds me of all those loved ones that I've lost and loved but never said the right things to them at the time. Endless beauty
So much sadness in this song, so much sadness from many youtubers. Today they played this song for a buddy of mine that passed away recently. It put me to tears. I will always cherish my loved and deceased ones in my heart and have them on my mind. To all the youtubers out there that have lost their precious loved ones may you find solace, comfort in God knowing that one day we will see them again. Thank you Willie for your beautiful songs. True love is eternal and never dies. Amen🙏🙏
I lost my husband this year on September 1st and today is our wedding anniversary. It's a really tender day for me, but I wouldn't be the person I am without him. Rest in peace honey ❤️💜 I'll never forget you
I pray that the good Lord brings comfort, peace and joy to your heart so that you will be able to get through the difficult times by recalling the love you shared with your husband over the years. You sound like an incredible person so I know your soul longs to feel that closeness. You are very strong and fortunate to have found/ experienced a love like this. Some people search the world and never find a love like this in their lifetime 🤗
I play this for my wife of 64 years who passed away in February, the love of my life, I will love her forever. it gets stronger all the time. xxx on my own each evening, thoughts are only of you. Xxxx
I was a horrible dad I was never there addicted to drugs and alcohol . I did not know how to get out of the hole in away from the addiction everything I tried would not work. When my daughter kaylea was born in February of 1998 the Holy Spirit led me to sobriety in faith in Christ in Jesus saved me. Throughout the struggles I always thought about my daughter and what she was doing and how I can get back to her. This is my song to my daughter Kaylea. I love you Jesus thank you, i love you Kaylea, YOU WERE ALLWAYS ON MY MIND.
Everyone should be thanking the Lord and Savior. If someone saved you from dropping, you’d thank that person forever. When Christ does it, it’s saving you forever from hell. That also is forever.
Lost my husband, Steve, two years ago. He looked so much like Willie, he was often approached and ask if he was Willie. He is always on my mind and I love this song!
I lost my husband 8 years ago and this song means everything to my husband was very sick and in his last days he said i will always be on his mind and as well he to this day is on my mind i love and miss you robert
Lorelei, I always thought I had lost my mind because I have precognitions, or some such foresight things. I see things before they happen. The most odd of these images I have seen, and that always come to be, was not dissimilar to a reincarnation type of thing. I want you to understand. What has occurred will occur again and again to infinity. The so called "big bang" theory is just that, a theory. A misunderstood way of explaining our existence. It is pure bunk. It is hard to understand the time that is involved in these cycles because our minds cannot conceive such spans of time. You will repeat the sad situation of eight years ago. I am sorry to tell you that, but you are going to do what you have done again and again. It just takes time. You cannot change any of it. Look at the face of a clock. Round and round. Do not believe me if it seems crazy to you but you are going to see him exactly as you did before. In the same place and yes, the same time. It is okay. It is the reality of this thing we call existence. Big Wigs think they can monkey with numbers and explain how and why things occur or come to exist. They are wrong. If it is, it was, and will be. Yes, you will always be on his mind. It is as though he went to the restroom during intermission. I want to comfort you. I have lost many loved ones. I do not want to repeat that pain but there is no alternative. So I will do it again gladly and sadly as I have over and over. The comforting part is that we cannot remember these "Intermissions". I have no idea whatsoever why this is. Can I add a 13 or a zero to that clock face. Probably not. Willy wrote a beautiful song I wonder if he would believe that he has written it many times before as he will many times again and again. The future is ours to be.
This is the song for my mom from my dad! They both are in heaven now and I know they are together and they love each other and me. Thank you Mr. Nelson for being apart of their lives together and mine growing up! So much love
My partner of 46 years died 4 months ago yesterday at 7.45pm listening to this song which had been our favourite for a long time, I can't listen to it without crying, so don't you go and die on my too Willie because I couldn't stand it.
Dude - I am so sorry for your loss Your story has tears in my eyes too - be strong, God is obviously not done with you yet... For me, it's thoughts of my dad (who passed in 2008) that usually get me like this....
My brother-in-law died one week ago today. His devoted wife, my sister, spent the last 3 years caring for him. They lived in Austin, loved Willie. Because of Covid-19 we can't even have a funeral for him. Next year when we can celebrate his life, I will have this song played for my sister.
I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS AND PRAYER'S FOR THE FAMILY'S THIS HITS HOME I LOST MY OLDER SISTER 5 MONTHS AGO THE LAST OF THREE SIBLINGS AND MY PARENTS BEFORE THAT THE PAIN AND GRIEF WILL NEVER GO AWAY TO KNOW I AM ALL ALONE NOW THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT ...!!!
My grandfather just passed away this morning. 💔 He loved Willie, I'll never forget my grandpa taking his guitar out. He kept a red bandana around it and he'd play some of Willie's licks. He cried one time and told me how much he loved my grandma and this was the song he sang. 🖤❤️💙💛
16 years USMC . I lost one marine to a car accident . He’s always on my mind. I never talked to his parents . Been 34 years . To scared to say sorry for their loss. Always on my mind … I’ve a lot to answer to St Peter . He’s always on my mind .
My husband passed away January 14, 2021 he will be buried 2/12 and I picked this to play at his funeral because it explains what my emotions are. Tells just what I feel. Love you babe forever.
My husband died 8 years ago on Feb 12th. He would always play this song. I'm very sorry for your loss. You never get over their loss, it just gets a little easier to cope.
My husband JK passed away on May 21, 2021 and I played this song at his funeral becos this is exactly how I felt after we hv been together for 53 years. Miss him always.
60 years ago I married the love of my life ; 41 years later we celebrated our anniversary! 6 days later she passed from ALS! This song always reminds me that you can never do enough to show how much you love someone! Look now at what you do and double your efforts!
You are my wife, and even now, I wonder what I ever did to deserve you! You gave me the love I never knew I would find. You understood me when no one else did. You took care of me on my vulnerable days. You are everything I could ever ask for, baby; and I love you with my whole heart.
It's fascinating how his voice seems to be the dominant instrument - perfectly capturing the subtleties of the lyrics. The rest of the band providing a soothing backdrop.
Yes, it's pretty amazing he captures one's soul with his voice, it makes you feel as if he's singing about your life. I'm very young but still, I feel it.
He was definitely the chosen 1 for this song. As a kid growing up, I always loved all of his songs. But, nobody will ever match or better Willie's version of this one. I've always believed that the best person to sing this on a tribute album would be his son. Lukas Nelson. He's the one who has the closest voice to his Dad's. I'd love to hear Lukas record his version of this song.
That's what I've always thought loved so much about Willie's music. His band/recording artists, no matter what song or era are always superb, but they never take away from Willie's unique voice and interpretation, yet he never seems to try to be the "star". Forget autotunes and screaming amplifiers and synthesizers, they don't need it, and we get to enjoy the results.
Today a year ago my mom passed. Her neighbor was John. He played bass for a lot of musicians including Willie Nelson. She him visiting John a couple of times. I watched this in memory of mom and I know she led me to this video. Thank you mom❤️❤️❤️❤️
He's unbelievable. He's 91 and still performing and recording, as if it was 1970. He managed to avoid any jail time for income tax charge probably because of his demeanor. He loves anybody and everybody.
Avoided jail time for the same if not worse things that many politicians do🤣😂he was just able to get a better lawyer 🤭🦋✌️great performer though 💗Willie songs 4 ever!
I'm not happy, I'm not sad. Yes, I enjoy the music as an art form. Not all of us got a response to get those feelings. Oh well back to listening to all versions of this good sounding song.
Such a truly beautiful and timeless song. Willie's version has always been my favorite. Rest in Peace, Mark James. And thank you for all your beautiful songwriting, you made the world a better place.
I’m going through a break after 15. What he’s saying here, is all truth. After awhile, we fail to remember how we fought to be that person’s love. And then all the years go by and we failed. Little things I should have said and done. That’s the truth. Yes, you were always on mind. But that’s never enough for the other. It’s action they want. So a song like this will haunt me bc it’s real. It’ll take me a long time to get in a good place of acceptance. Never forget is key. Always show her and the little things count.
This is Willie Nelson at one of his finest moments. Which one of our wives or girlfriends would not want to have these beautiful words sung to her. I’m a musician and I’m going to play this song for my fiancée on our wedding day.
@@AA-op3kjHe's admitting that their future life might get busy and even if he forgets to tell her, he still loves her. That's a nice sentiment. We all forget to say and do the right thing at some point.
Reading the comments -- it's amazing how this song has spoken to people in their own lives. Seems to me that the definition of art is that the artist puts art out there and people respond, not to the art itself (e.g., "What a nice song") but rather how the art completes something in their life to provide expression that perhaps they couldn't have done without it.
This song is like a knife into my heart. The words say exactly what happened to me, I was blind and could not see or say how much I loved her. She is gone for quite some time, but the pain is still here.
We all do dumb things that will always haunt us..but when we come to the place where we forgive ourselves..that’s the best gift we can give ourselves..yes the hurt may very well always be there..but dealing after forgiveness becomes easier..🇨🇦
The perfect voice. No operatic inflection. No elaborate tricks, just the perfect notes everytime. I think Willie was one of the top vocalist of the last 70 years.
I played this every day when my husband went overseas. On 2:58 the way to the hospital where he was dying it came on the radio. I knew it was for me. How I miss him.
Well, I actually don't know where to start. In October 2019 my grandfather suddenly passed, it was my mom's birthday that day. My grandpa ment so much to me, like a second father. And this song describes exactly the life of my grandparents. I just want to say thank you Willie, always when I listen to your music it makes my day every time.
1:57 and 2:11. Those vibratos are perfect. Willie has a true mastery level of control over his voice, and here he brings it full force, not as an element of aggression, but rather as that of a broken man willing to bare his soul, which is far more powerful.
My father passed away last week, he was eighty six. He was a huge Willie Nelson fan and he met him several times. I took him to a concert several years ago. He was thrilled and went back state to see Willie. He loved this song RIP Dad, you ARE always on my mind.
So sorry for your lost Charming understand how it feels losing the one's you love most and pray your dad is in a better place. Hope you're doing well over there?
My dad asked me to listen to this song 6 months before he passed away. He and my mother split up when I was a little girl. As ways common in the 70’s they both moved on in their lives and created other families. We reconnected when I was a young adult. This is my first holiday without him.
Your dad ask me to tell you “hey kiddo, I miss you to. Don’t be hard on yourself, I’m proud of the man you’ve turned out to be. I still check in on you all the time. We will see one another someday. Enjoy your life, son, I love you”
His phrasing is absolutely masterful, all the inflections in his singing, the little elaborations. He’s an absolute master at singing and he brings his voice right out of his heart.
The first time I heard Willie Nelson sing this, it hit me so hard. We have been married for 56 years and now he is in the final stages of Alzheimer’s. We had lots of ups and downs in our marriage 😢. The ups kept us together through the downs, but now that he is towards the end, I feel I should have done more for our relationship, as Willie Nelson sang. Today could possibly be the beginning of the end. Then I went to this song and @Robert stein, yours was the comment that showed. It was a message that God wanted me to see. It’s been a year for you. If you get a chance to see my comment, May Peace Be With You.
Tomorrow I lay my father to rest, this was a favorite of his he will forever always be on my mind and in my heart. Love you daddy so much miss you already.
This song is such an incredible fit for Willie. His phrasing and voice is art in its purest form. He plays guitar like he sings. So unique. I adore him and his musical talent.

Everyone has that one song that just rips them to pieces when they hear it. I can make it through the first verse without tears. One of the most beautiful songs ever written!
If you've ever truly loved, truly truly loved someone and lost them or let the love slip away, this song will resonate forever inside you once you've heard
"Always on My Mind" is a ballad written by Wayne Carson, Johnny Christopher, and Mark James, first recorded by Brenda Lee and first released by Gwen McCrae (as "You Were Always on My Mind") in March 1972. Lee's version was released three months later in June 1972
Spot on. Willie Nelson has a voice that entwines lyrics and grasps the story of the song. He's unique in so many ways. Another American vocal treasure.
My son passed away suddenly in his sleep three months ago, just two months before his 17th birthday. He was and always will be on my mind. Willie has the quintessiantial central Texas accent.
Absolutely American classic 💗Willie
He is a great man with a unique voice.

I played this for my wife 15 minutes before she passed. Now I can not listen to the song without crying. It is the best version of the song.
Stay strong buddy. Cherish her memories and keep on keeping on.
She knows. It's a happy song because you shared. My condolences 🙏 😢
No shame in crying my friend: it's catharsis and will help you. Not to cry in such circumstances would not be normal.
Rest in peace to her I am sorry for your loss
May her memory be a blessing
My wife and I went to Hawaii years ago and happened to notice a flyer tacked to the wall at the Concierge's desk about Willie Nelson. When I asked, he told me it to was support local talent, and was a last minute notice. It cost about 10 dollars, and featured several groups, some with and some wirthout much talent. BUT, then Willie came on with his crew and blew the the place apart. Folding chairs on the grass, maybe fifty feet from the man himself, for 10 bucks in Hawaii!!!!!!! Beat that!!!

One of the most moving songs I ever heard.
It certainly is!!😮
Ich wünsche Dir viel Kraft und Trost in dem Gedanken an deinen Mann. Irgendwann sehen wir uns alle wieder. ❤

Doesn't matter who covers this song, there will never be a version with more heart, genuineness & sincerity than Willies version.
So, so true...the incomparable Willie...long may he reign....Love him.
Wushu Willie
Agreed. Nobody conveys a lyric with as much meaning and sincerity as Willie. He makes it sound so easy and effortless. Genius.
Gerogina Chipperfield.. wushu?
Beautiful version but no one sings it better than The King, Elvis - in my opinion! ;)
My mom dedicated this song to me after I left for the service in 2004. We had our struggles as we found our way through my childhood. She is in heaven now watching over me, and it’s my turn to dedicate this song to her.
She loved you :)

This is a wonderful song to remember your spouse! I’m sorry for your loneliness~ we were made to be a pair~ not alone. My husband passed in his sleep beside me~ we had 14.5yrs together~ I still miss him

The words resonate in his soul when he sings this!

I have to say it does get better… however you never really cope, just accept what’s left of you….

Love this song. It is heart felt and really hits you deep in your ❤ heart
I’ll pray for you that you see more of him buddy
You are a loving father
I never really listened to this song until my wife passed away. No matter where I was, what I was doing, she really was on my mind. I miss her so much.

I had a daughter who died at 4 months old, having never made it home from the hospital and I didn't get to spend nearly as much time with her as I wish I had during her short life.

Lorelei,
I always thought I had lost my mind because I have precognitions, or some such foresight things. The comforting part is that we cannot remember
these "Intermissions". I have no idea whatsoever why this is. Can I add a 13 or a zero to that clock face. Probably not. Willy wrote a beautiful song I wonder if he would believe that he has written it many times before as he will many times again and again. The future is ours to be.
Lorelei Foster so sweet.

You can tell when someone loves you. Just by them saying a few words.

How are you doing and hope you don't mind us getting to know ourselves better...
This song is like a knife into my heart. The words say exactly what happened to me, I was blind and could not see or say how much I loved her. She is gone for quite some time, but the pain is still here.

@@Pattiepies55 There are a few songs I like that Willie sings..Yes, it will be a sad day when Willie leaves us..
I hear you, man!
Thank you so much for the unwavering love and support. Indeed you are a true fan. You can write me on willienelson426@gmail.com
Elvis's rendition is great, but the rawness of Willie's will never be bettered. Pure emotion
yes he never lies
Agreed .
I played this every day when my husband went overseas. On 2:58 the way to the hospital where he was dying it came on the radio. I knew it was for me. How I miss him.
So very sorry for your loss 😢
Such a beautiful comment
Blessing to you and your ohana.
My most sincere condolences and prayers are with you.
To be or not to be
So sorry for your lost Charming understand how it feels losing the one's you love most and pray your dad is in a better place. Hope you're doing well over there?
My dad asked me to listen to this song 6 months before he passed away. He and my mother split up when I was a little girl. As ways common in the 70’s they both moved on in their lives and created other families. We reconnected when I was a young adult. This is my first holiday without him.
I dedicate this song to my father who I should have treated better. Over 20 years gone and you're still always on my mind
@@MM-ow4mp Thank you so much for your kind words. I tell both of my kids all about my dad and his funny quirks. I wished he could have met them
Sending love…
Your dad ask me to tell you “hey kiddo, I miss you to. Don’t be hard on yourself, I’m proud of the man you’ve turned out to be. I still check in on you all the time. We will see one another someday. Enjoy your life, son, I love you”

Willie Nelson was born 1933 and is now 87 years old as of 2021. God bless Willie Nelson.
That's is ture 👍
And his buddy Waylon, who is no longer here.
Still one of most warm hearted guys around
Willie aged like a fine 🍷
He's actually 88, as today (4-29) is his birthday!
My wife died 8 years ago after 58 years of marriage and this was “our” song, I still tear up when listening to it.
My dad died around 15 years ago and my mom is always showing me “their songs” so I get it ❤ Hope you’re doing okay
Meus sentimentos…
Just played this for hubby. We had a fight last night and stopped speaking. I awoke this morning with this song playing in my head.
Then tell him. Good luck!
His phrasing is absolutely masterful, all the inflections in his singing, the little elaborations. He’s an absolute master at singing and he brings his voice right out of his heart.
I wish I could meet you sometime Thank you
Just brilliant. I agree with you.
true to his heart
The best version of this song.
Yes. That is exactly why he is great.
Hello Mary I see happiness all around you, can I please share from it?

Willie’s voice is definitely a gift and I’m amazingly grateful that he chose to share it with all of us… God bless you Willie!
This song is such an incredible fit for Willie. His phrasing and voice is art in its purest form. He plays guitar like he sings. So unique. I adore him and his musical talent.

My mom played this to me before she died when I was 11, in 1987. Such a perfect song for so many reasons. Thank you ♥️

2023 and I still listen to this poignant song. Nobody does it better than Willie Nelson.
You have been so little, when your mom died.

Thank you so much for this. 💫✨🌹
"Always on My Mind" is a ballad written by Wayne Carson, Johnny Christopher, and Mark James, first recorded by Brenda Lee and first released by Gwen McCrae (as "You Were Always on My Mind") in March 1972. Lee's version was released three months later in June 1972
Thanks for the details.
Dozens of people have covered this... but Willie just owns this song.
Spot on. Willie Nelson has a voice that entwines lyrics and grasps the story of the song. He's unique in so many ways. Another American vocal treasure.
Karl Krogmann I totally agree......
@Imight Realperson He also wrote Crazy, which Patsy Cline sang better.
@Imight Realperson No, he did not.
