I have this same computer model, it was sold at one of those amazon return bin stores, but it was missing ram and gpu, bought it for 150, and after buying the missing parts i have spent a total of 300 bucks.

Hey Toasties. It’s that HDD causing your slow downs, stutters , delays and random cpu spikes. Yes I realize the OS is on a SSD, but the system still has to read and cache that drive. It slows it down badly. Also, if the drive is dying, it will slow it down. Then as an energy saving measure, it shuts the HDD drive off at idles, then randomly spins it up to check status. This will spike cpu usage. IBuyPower put crappy failing drives in these models too. I recommend ditching the hdd completely, re install the OS fresh on a newer SSD, making sure the boot order is drawn off UEFI not legacy, and set to AHCI when it comes to the SATA controller.
Based upon those scary dusty fingerprints on top of the GPU ... apparently Freddy Krueger touched it 🤣🤣🤣

An in-line update is the best way to update a copy of windows that old( installing the latest version of 10 on a usb drive pop in while in windows and hit install to preform updates)

Walmart had a few IBUYPOWER Slate MR 203i clearanced last year. I5-11400F and a GT1030 lol. Solid CPU, but the GPU had to go before selling them. Awful pairing, but was during the shortage. So I put the 1030s in budget esports rigs.

i paid 1k for this setup like this back in 2019. 4 year later. i would only play like 300-400 for this since it's not even stronger than the newer gen consoles.

I really don't think the update speed was from the ssd. Windows update is wonky like that sometimes.
Judging by all the dust. I recon they never changed or applied new thermal paste on the CUP/GPU since it was first built. Who in there right mind installs single channel ram in a gaming PC?
I would have swapped out the drive for a better and maybe bigger one as well. It's probably the reason you had Windows updates take so long.
Lock the framerate fellas. Your stuttering and all during OV2 is probably that CPU struggling due to ridiculously high FPS. Honestly, a rule a thumb IMO is to try to never have the GPU and especially the CPU maxed out. 120FPS lock would have been perfecto.

Brands don't really matter, it's what the components are and how they perform that really matters. There are decent iBuyPower builds just like there are shitty "custom" builds.

i have this pc. i got mine for 400 with everything included. came with a nice monitor even. anyways i upgraded the 9400f to a i7 9700f put 32gbs of dual channel ram in it and went from the 1660 super to a rtx 2070 and i gotta say im pretty satisfied with it now...
So this PC is great when you upgrade it significantly.
9400 isn't that bad but 500$ is a lot for it and a 1660 considering I build a 9400f and rx5700 for £270(300$)
This is not meant for US market. It is mostly aimed at 3rd World countries where the price of hardware is lot higher.

i would get the case for the components if i could afford it but i sure as hell would swap out that cooler for a better one
Why waste your $$ the PC was running cool, now maybe if you upgraded to a i7/i9. But then the GPU would bottleneck any CPU upgrade.

So, a lot of the things in this computer is a problem, but not the SSD... BECAUSE... flash memory has been faster than SATA for a long, long time. To the point that the literal cheapest SATA SSD is able to fully utilize the bus speed.
I promise, give a data transfer test side by side with this SSD and ANY other SATA SSD (with the same software installed) and you will get results within margin of error.
*edit to add... this PC obviously has the infamous Windows 10 100% Drive Utilization bug... best bet with a new pc like this, wipe it, fresh install. It was extremely common with earlier build of Windows 10. And again, has nothing to do with the actual drive.
*2nd edit... read other post on the cache problem with an HDD installed, but again, the SSD is NOT the problem, and is easily the best part of this pc. (Only part worth saving anyways)

I just sold a computer with very similar performance for $250. I hate all the so called DEALS online. so i build PCs and sell them nearly at cost so people can get a decent computer without getting ripped off.

when i sale refurbished i replace all broken or not working parts and clean it inside and out and sometimes rebuild the pc i have one for sale now for 900 a i7 10700 32 gig ddr 4 kit RTX 3070 ! M@ TB 1 SATA 1 TB and where i live no one pays for jack id even maybe sale it for 800 its a all asus build cant even sale it so stupid i used to have a pc business back in the days
now i just do it when i get old pcs or something this one is my personal pc and made all my videos up to 2022 but this has new kit of ram new thermal paste so its pretty much refurbished

Since when is $500 a great price I literally got a $1500 pc for only $395, got a case and power supply for free from sum1. only had to buy a mobo, cpu and gpu. The case is 1k the power supply is 250.
