I can't wait for the Charlotte MicroCenter to finally open so I can go inside, browse the PC parts section, and pretend like I have the money to actually buy anything other than a GT710

Ideacentre is really more of Lenovo's home computer brand. Thinkcentre is the workstation line - kind of consistent with the laptop naming scheme
It was that way when it was still IBM, before they decided they wanted nothing to do with building business machines. About the only thing worthwhile Lenovo has managed to come up with independent of the old IBM line is their 2 in one lines. Legion is a joke of a brand as far as I'm concerned. Just replace 'Lenovo' with 'IBM' and say it out loud and you'll see what I mean. It is sort of like Alienware post sale or the idea HP can produce a gaming machine. It is all just so....dumb. Products for the ignorant masses. The moment I first heard 'Dell-Alienware', I knew we were all screwed. Gaming laptops are a funny thing. Laptops are power saving and gaming PCs are power hungry. You're not supposed to be able to game on a laptop without plugging it in first. Taking a 4060 and lowering the power level to 45W is just making a crappy GPU. The concepts of 'laptop' and 'gaming PC' are diametrically opposed. That's coming from someone who first gamed on a laptop in 1995, long before they were ever intended for gaming. It is still just as much of a hard compromise in 2024, even with the intent being a 'gaming laptop'.
I have one of the earliest, arguably gaming focused laptops which is a P4 Vaio with a desktop CPU and Radeon GPU. It is a brick. It would run the original Far Cry for about 5 minutes before depleting the battery. It has a 200W power brick - I know, you all thought those are a recent trend. My more modern (10th gen) gaming laptop only has a 150W power brick. It will still die after about 15 min of running a modern AAA game.
Ideacentre is honestly very low end, I am in SE Asia and they are so cheap on the used market compared to other brands.
Had a legion system with a ryzen 7 5800 and that same 3060. Was a great pandemic system. Now I am using a 7800x3d/4080 system.
5800x3d/rx 7900 xtx my dream pc coming soon
@@TvosOleheadare you already on am4 id get am5 on such a high en build if i were you
Y’all are awesome, inspired me to build my first gaming pc. I mean I have a rig that’s better but I wanted to do it my own just so I can get the enjoyment and experience of building one myself. Thanks guys
Do u know a good tutorial vid to make a pc
@@Savage_boy123 Toasty has several step by step guides it’s really not that hard once you do it, just have a magnetic screwdriver it will save you an hour or so of work
@@SnanSYTP thank u
I so wish there was a microcenter in SG. Alot of the pc shops here have reports of poor build quality or the main tech shopping centre here (Sim Lim) having a bad reputation.
Same here.. Nothing around where I live
I am also from Singapore I wish they had Walmart target micro centre
@@zanethebestsrobloxplayer3078 Microcenter moreso that place will be my Disneyland lmao
the cat ear headphones get me every time lol
Microcenter crab you need ?
Cat litter ?
For anyone curious it Will run Hell Divers 2.
I got an i5 12400 version of this from someone who pulled all the parts out of the case and couldn’t swap it into another because it’s obviously proprietary… I built a custom setup for it lol I’m gonna post it on my other channel it was this exact computer!!! Got it for $100😂😂
Ryzen 7 5800x3d, Rx 7900 xtx ❤❤getting my dream PC!!! Streaming here I come
If you play Fortnite on DX12 low settings you also have to put the view distance to near or else it won't work.
Putting everything on low plus view distance on near will remove all the grass and change the builds to the same as performance mode.
You guys should review the Lenovo Legion T5 off Newegg for 660$ it has 3060 and ryzen 5 5600g
I legit bought this machine 5 days ago, upgraded to 32gb RAM and 512 SATA. Very happy with it so far!
Is it really good any updated opinions?
@@hehasnolips1371 I'm super happy with it! A few *minor* updates I made: 32gb RAM, added a 512 SSD and swapped the 1TB HDD for 4TB. I'm not much of a gamer but it runs the few games I tried really well. For video editing, it's amazing!
What ram sticks did you buy
Bro the deals there are fire from 100$
To a 99.99 🔥💯
I'm gonna spend $1,500 to travel to my nearest MicroCenter just to buy that $700 PC. Makes perfect sense, right? 😂
Just get it shipped…
Pretty nice build for $700.
We need a Micro center in Canada
Indeed In Baku (Azerbaijan) too
Cheap products attract new customers, they come back later to buy more bigger stuff.
What's the slowest computer you can build using new parts?
Linus tech tips just did that video
VERY CLOSE?! Like a week, two weeks? End of the Month? I'm legitimately taking time off of work to make my first trip to the tech holy land and need details.
I’ll be there in 3 days 😅😅
I got a promo email from Newegg and it had some odd brands I haven't really heard of before be nice to have a video going over some of them like Ipason, XPG, Hasse, Ningmei, SAMA to name a few
The fact this Lenovo is Pci-e gen 3 makes virtually no difference. You can watch videos from Hardware Unboxed, Linus Tech Tips, Jaystwocents. All of hem have shown that even a 4090 has less than 1 percent difference in framerate between gen 3 and gen 4.
The only time this is relevant is when using some entry level cards like the rtx 4060 or the rx 7600 or even the rx 6500 xt, these cards only use 8 Pci-e lanes vs the 16 lanes most cards use.
Running a 8 lane card in a pci-e gen 3 socket will result in a 10-15 % performance penalty.
This does not effect cards running 16 lanes, performance of these cards are virtually identical in either gen 3 or gen 4.
I live near Chicago, so there’s actually two microcenter near me. And they’re both actually less than an hour away from me
i got a asus rog prebuilt for $810 USD it has a
3060 ti asus 2 fan
i512400f
16 gb ddr4 2300mhz
stock intel cooler
1 intake fan
like a very cheap motherboard
gpu sag bracket
That's a sick metallica hoodie!
Will I see you guys there for the Charlotte opening?
We plan on being there at some point!
I’m so excited for the Charlotte location I just built a pc but I just wanna go to experience it
I have that almost same case(a bit smaller) but with 4060 and 13400f
Any recommendations on how to upgrade this pc?
Micro center rocks.

GOOD?
If microcenter ever opened in the UK, especially Scotland, it would be out of stock all the time but with our triple import taxes on tech I can kiss that dream goodbye. If it wasnt for order services we wouldnt have anything at all. Our PC world is absolute pre built dell and lenovo super expensive tosh for what it is.
Loving this one i see it gets 200 fps
I would love to get blessed with a pc 😞🙏🏾
Hi, I found a 3060 and 5600g build for $600 nzd without shipping, or around $400 usd. This is a great deal, right? If so should I buy it
yeah that's a pretty good system
awesome bros!
You have to be carefull with Lenovo PC's with Ryzen. If the have the PSB option enabled in the BIOS then the CPU will only work on Lenovo systems. AM4 chips have a fuse on them and if the PSB is enable you won't be able to use or sell the CPU without mentioning this.
If possible can you check and tell us if that PSB was enabled in the BIOS?
Stay far away from brands like Dell, hp, lenovo, and Alienware. The components such as the power supply, motherboard, and RAM are extremely cheap. I got my prebuilt from Build Pro PC. It's a beautiful PC, and the performance is amazing for what I paid. They are super helpful and friendly too, highly recommend.
Dang. I don’t have a micro center within 400 miles of me
"would you give me a PC for 1 million dollars🎅🎅🎅🐻🐻🐻🐻"
nah
🤖
I wouldn't use this PC if you gave me a million dollars. Sorry, that's the best I can do.
Show me the money. 😂
@@Lurch-BotYes you would. Everyone has a price. 😂
love the headphones
you guys should try playing helldivers 2, its a very fun game
Yall should do Fry's Electronics vs Micro Center next time
My guy, Fry’s been out of business since ‘21
@@Harkie760 CompUSA, Circuit City, or Radio Shack then! 😫
Prebuilts are all about cheap motherboard, cheap psu, cheap ram, and so forth. The only thing you're really paying for is the gpu and cpu because if you want to upgrade, it will take some effort to do so. You can get away with reusing the ram, cpu and gpu, but for the rest of the components, it's kinda garbage.
I got it for 650 on sale 😂
Is it good or did you just get it
5700g means no PCI-e 4.0 support.
The packing peanuts expand when you open the box and the oxygen gets in!
Bro the closest micro center from me is 12hrs away
Ship it
What is the name of the second game you tested with ? thanks
Hey its been 6 day for asking for updating a 290-p0043w
A 3070 would have gotten my attention more than a 3060
do you give ship pc's overseas?
Damn The Finals 8 core bottlenecking then dlss on))
too bad microcenter is 6 hours from where I am, and is most likely not close to most of the viewers of this channel as well
They can do better than just a 512 gb SSD except for that this is a good deal.
Dude left the mythic striker and picked up the mystic smg?
3060 8gb or 12 GB VRAM ?
12GB the link is in the description
Micro Center, Micro Prices.
Is anyone else weirded out by the way these guys stretch out the last syllables of their sentences! Ver strange.
Those are not pretty awesome specs for $700. You can get better deals with their combos sold in store.
Link one
They should have done a 5600x or 5700x,the 5700G doesn’t doesn’t cut it sorry!
Cut it for what? Obviously for most games it does just fine, as shown in the video
Just put water on those peanuts they will dissolve.
"How are they selling it for so low!!" the specs are "Rtx 3060, ryzen 7 5700g and 16gb ram"
Bruh.💀 Thats market price. Where I stay i can get the same prebuild for $740 with rtx3060 12gb.
More bang for buck.

Woahbroos!!!
Toasty bros are sus
They eat taco bell with cargo shorts or crocs on or both at the same time.
Sent me the pc I will have a look
first 30 minutes
Great, another random one-off special deal that nobody else will ever get, showcased on TB like you can just grab them at this price all day long. These guys are just making it harder for me to sell PCs by giving the ignorant unrealistic expectations. I had someone ask me last week to sell a Ryzen 5/ RX6600 build for $600 when I already had it listed for what I could sell the parts for on eBay at $650. If $50 makes the difference whether you buy the PC or not, you can just keep on walking as far as I'm concerned. Asking me to take less than the parts are worth for salvage is a massive insult. I spent way longer stress testing and refurbishing than the TBs ever would when flipping a PC. But a lot of people would rather give their money to a couple of manure shovelers than an honest builder with 30 years of experience.
This video is just a good, old fashioned bait and switch. Caveat emptor.
I wanna see you run AW2 on this PC, you posers. SMR is an easy touch and Cyberpunk is hardly the new Crysis, just a poorly optimized game on an abortion of an old game engine that runs worse in 2024 than it did at launch. You now need a RX580 to get the kind of performance I got with an R9 380 at launch. I only benchmark my builds with it because of people like TBs.
At this point, I am giving a thumbs down to any video with a Microcenter spot, on principle. My nearest one is like 600 mi away and I don't exactly live in the middle of nowhere. The exclusive deal they did for the 5600X3D just speaks volumes and it is way more of a black mark for them than AMD. Microcenter made the choice to make it an in-store only item. If you go to their website, they have like 3 overpriced GPUs for sale online. And if you build out your PC in their store, the markup on all the ancillary parts will negate any bundle deal you get.
😳
Wow, do you blame every UA-cam computer ch for cutting your business?
Also, Microcenter's in store combo deals on CPU , mobo, RAM are usually unbeatable. Most of the other parts are lower price than other retailers and they price match. So you end up getting everything at a great price.
I've built 6 PCs from parts from them. I know several people who buy parts there for their PC business.
During the video card shortage Microcenter was only place that was selling video cards at MSRP and had a decent selection considering

Putting amd and nvidia in the same system is like having a glass of lemonade and then having some fucker piss in it.
