You don't have to take the airbag out to replace the switch. Just take the one screw out lift up the outermost part of the switch then work the inner part from under the airbag. As per Dodge service manual. But do remove the ground cable from the battery anytime you do any steering wheel work. I know this works because I just did it this way.
The Dodge Journey 2014 model uses a T15 for the screws holding in the controls. Also, if you need to take the actual plastic housing off that the button module attaches to, you'll need a T10 as well for three screws on the back. :)
Hello! From where did you buy the new menu button module? Mine is sadly not working probably, the up-down buttons are mixed up sometimes, it goes downwards when I press the upper button for example. Any fix? Fiat Freemont 2.0MJet 125kW 2013.
I have a 2012 Dodge Journey sxt. I replace the fuses and the control to the interments panel’s still don’t work, the cruise control side works perfectly. But the horn doesn’t work and the left side control doesn’t work to the interments panel. I’m not to sure if it might be the clock spring needs to be replace.

Can you tell me how to remove squeaking sound from steering wheel from airbag when car driving . Not when turn to the left or right, just driving straight and hearing squeaking?
Solved a problem. It is necessary to remove the airbag. But before that, I disconnected the battery terminals. The airbag itself has springs in plastic grooves. Here they are making this noise. It is necessary to take a thick silicone grease and lubricate. Sounds disappear. Checked.
On my Dodge Caravan there is a button on the lower left side of the steering column that adjusts the distance to the brake pedal. I move the brake pedal back-and-forth and the cruise control works again.
I have a 2007 Dodge Caravan. 75k miles...The cruise control light will come on but when I push the set button the cruise control will not engage. The Cruise light will stay on.....BUT if I turn the cruise control off and then try to turn it back on while driving the light will come on and go right back off quickly. If I try to turn the cruise on again no light will appear. The only way to get the light back on is to stop the vehicle and turn off the ignition.....start it up head down the road and I can repeat the above procedure all over again. My break lights work when testing them,,,,that is about all I tried so far, any help would be appreciated!
I see this comment is 7months old...did you figure out the issue? Definitely sounds like a bad cruise control switch, but it could also be a bad brake switch. Just because your lights work, doesn't mean the switch is good.
@@elijahantony4300 nope it was the actual cruise control servo. I replaced it and it's still working today. Just Google 2007 Dodge Caravan Servo speed control

You my friend at a genius. Have you found where the short is? I take it replacing the switch will not resolve the issue?

@@Soulcommander cruise control servo? do you mean solder? you soldered the connection in the button and it worked right?
