    My story is too long to post here so I will try to make this short. 😅n 1981 At the age of 25 I had a hysterectomy. My son was only 4 months old at the time. This led me down the road to years of suffering. I went to many doctors who could not help me. Years later, before computers etc, I began to research everything I could on hormone therapy through books and magazines! I brought this info to My Physicians and they would NOT even hear about it. Long story short I became an Aesthetician and met a Dr at a conference on aging who changed my life. I started on bio identical hormones, various supplements and healthy foods. My life changed completely. I began to look younger in my early 40’s than I did in my 20’s and 30’s. Just recently I found one of my books and it was written by Dr Gersh! She is so right on! Everything she has said in this uTube is exactly what took years of research for me to finally find relief.

    Dr Gersh, I see your P.A. and she’s helped me get my hormones right. Can you give us more pearls of wisdom about what to safely do if we have a chronic virus activated? I would also like to hear more about CBD, as you mentioned it briefly for pain and inflammation.

    Great video. Doesn't fructose and alcohol also impair the production of ATP and damage mitochondria ?

    Roughly what blood level of estradiol is necessary to support the mitochondria?

    What do you think about the supplement Time+ from Nuchido? With Time+ my estradiol value is rise significantly so I had to reduce the dose. It also works anti inflammatory.

    Can you please help me with estradiol patch and progesterone pill? I’m 48 years old having joints pain especially knee pain. I am listening to all of your videos about perimenopause and how you recommend to do cyclic if still have ovary. My last period was October 16 and and it is 4 days late. My period cycle is just all over the place so do I apply cyclic progesterone with unpredictable menstrual cycle. I’m confused. I’m using .05 estradiol and 100mg progesterone pill. Seems to relieve some knee pain and got rid of night sweat. Do you think It is good dosage for me? I’m so sorry for long message. I don’t really know who to ask. I got estradiol patch prescribed from Midi but nurse practitioner doesn’t seem to really know.

      Sounds like you're on the right track. If you listen to her podcasts, you will start to understand more. Im guessing Dr Gersh is not going to respond bc she's not your personal physician. I'm sure you could contact her office in Irvine, CA and talk to them about a telehealth appt. ❤

      As the other comment said Dr Gersh won't be able to reply and give you personalised advice. From watching her other videos I know that she is in favour of estrogen every day and advises progesterone for half the cycle so that you mimic the natural menatrual cycle. She goes into detail about how she's not a fan of progesterone every day. My specialist advised I take 200mg of the progesterone pill every night for 12 days every month and keep my patch on every day (change twice a week). If you don't get any relief from the knee pain maybe a higher dose might help unless there is another reason for the pain? When I took the progesterone every day I had random days of bleeding. Now that I only take it for 12 I know that within a day or two of stopping the prog my bleed) period will begin.

      I used to take 100mg of progesterone every day and would get random days of bleeding and a headache when I woke up every morning.My specialist doctor then said to take the progesterone cyclically and the bleeding became more settled and predictable - I take 200mg every night for two weeks. Now I only bleed when I stop the prog at the end of 14 days and it's light and only about 2-4 days. I take . 75 of estrogen every day. It can all take a few months to settle and the body adapt to the hormones.Hope that helps

      The start is doing with low doses, then you should up them in some months. Progesteron is also necessary. And other hormons.
      1. DHEA
      2. Testosterone
      3. Progesterone
      4. Estrodial

    Methylene blue for more atp/mitochondria.

      @wendymccleary1465 4 дні тому

      Unless you have a methylation problem (G6PD) or are on certain meds (like ie prozac) then methylene blue can cause problems. Probably best to take precautions and get tested first.

      @@wendymccleary1465 thank you for your reply. I'm on a bit of a break until I figure out why I'm breaking out with acne on my face. I read on PubMed that MB blocks estrogen and increases DHEA and testosterone in male mouse models. Im on topical estradiol/progesterone and am 69. By the way you have the most beautiful skin I've ever seen on a post-menopausal woman !

      @@wendymccleary1465 Im on bioidentical topical hrt. Ive tried Methylene blue for 3 weeks and its the only thing I've done differently. O broke out on my face so Ive stopped to see if that was it. I know there us a male mouse study that found it raises testocterone and DHEA and blocks estrogen. So I guess its my N =1 experiment. I cant fond out whether it blocks estrogen receptors or just lowers estrogen.
