I just got this projector yesterday, but I live in China where it's significantly cheaper. The Chinese version can be purchased on alibaba, and it has English menus, and I've recently seen them selling them loaded with Western apps like Netflix. But! The Chinese version does not support Dolby Vision. On the other hand I have read that the international version doesn't support 24p where as the Chinese version certainly does. I'm still a month or so away from moving into my new home where I'll have a proper screen, but yesterday I just put it on a white wall and even with windows wide open with plenty of ambient light it was amazing. I am incredibly happy with this projector, and can't wait to watch movies and play games on it in my new home.
which one you got c2 ultra? or some other c2 XXXX and do you mind sharing me link of seller. i am also planning to buy from alibaba..was it Quanzhou seller??
@sushantgulati8759 I got the Ultra, but because I live in China my wife just brought it from JinDong. Vidda has many official sales outlets. Alibaba resellers ought to be fine. I have also seen that they're now selling them with Netflix and other western apps installed. You don't get Dolby Vision with the Chinese version, but it's lot cheaper ( at least for me) and it also supports 24p which apparently the international version does not. I'll soon be permanently mountain this and using a proper screen. Using a white wall has been okay, but a proper grey projector screen makes a huge improvement.
@@sushantgulati8759sorry, I did reply to you a long time ago, seems UA-cam removed it. I have the ultra, there many resellers in China, one from Quanzhou should be fine.
So, the intl version DOES support 24fps meaning you can watch content shot ini 24fps but it will convert it digitally. The Chinese version projects in 24fps to give us that classic movie look.
Is Hisense going to update the firmware on this with an EBL function to compete with Valerion? I heard the C2 Ultra and the Valerion are basically the same projector hardware made by Hisense.
I had the JMGO N1 Ultra and the Formovie X5 at home at the same time... I could compare and choose. The Formovie X5 definitely won for me and it has remained at home until now. And the JMGO N1 Ultra was a disproportionately more expensive projector. The bluish and pink shades of colors that will definitely be on the Hisense C2 Ultra were very distracting and, one might say, ugly. The Formovie X5 was also much better in brightness. 4500 ANSI lumens is a lot to know. There is no problem taking it to the garden under the pergola in the afternoon and watching football while grilling with friends. The JMGO N1 Ultra was useless in this. I also tried to project with the Formovie X5 onto the entire large one-story house. The image was pretty sharp across the entire area. The 1000 inch diagonal that the Formovie XC5 can handle is well known. On Sunday I am taking it to our restaurant where we will be showing a match Leverkusen-Hoffenheim on a white wall with an area of more than 300 inches. My nephew is a player for the Hoffenheim team. The sound is from the DENON Formovie X5, also much better than the JMGO N1 Ultra. It is suitable for screening in the garden or anywhere else, at home in the living room I have a Yamaha audio amplifier with Dynavoice speakers and a 4m screen. This is just a small comparison from practice, because the Hisense C2 Ultra will have shades very similar to the JMGO N1 Ultra projector, which can also be seen in the first videos here on UA-cam.
so is it true 4k or some sort of sotware hardware upscale 4k? I don't want to a projector that can reduce my 4k streaming to 1080p and then upscale to 4k. Damn £2500 in UK basically buying 1080p? not native 4k
Your eyes cannot make out the difference between pixel shift or true 4k projector In any case this is a high end projector of that category at 2500 The cheapest true 4k projectors start around 5000 with no upper limit depending on your needs
My gaming skills stayed the same, but dying at 200”+ 240Hz in Call of Duty somehow feels… cinematic.

I ended up going for the Valerion, but I'm curious to see more head to head comparisons. I'm sure either looks great when viewed on their own.
Where can you buy the valerian from
Could you tell us what stand you are using, please?
