    For this vegan stir fry you'll need...
    1/2 small savoy cabbage
    1 carrot
    1/2 red bell pepper
    1/2 yellow bell pepper
    1/2 christophene (cho cho or Chayote )
    1/2 medium onion (diced)
    2 cloves garlic (diced fine)
    1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
    10 string beans
    1/4 large broccoli
    1 teaspoon veg oil
    1 tablespoon light soy sauce
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
    1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

    I tried this but I didn't have soy sauce so I used butter. The addition of the ginger was 👌. I ate this with a peace of 🥑 and I was good to go. He is soooo right about having everything ready because the veggies cook fast.

      Yeah, the first time I saw that vegetable was when one of my Jamaican friends introduced it to me for soup. Now cho-cho is the only name I know it by as well 😋... 🇨🇦

    I believe whayou called choyote around here they also call it melatonin. Really great video and recipe. Will try to make it soon as fruits and vegetables are on my marching orders from on high.

    Chris in Latin America we don't take out the heart of the chayote it is sweet and it isn't hard or fibrous. And we always peel it. Sending love your way

    The vegetables dont need to be boiled before fryng right? Does the brocoli and carrots gets tender without boiling?

    If you want your vegitables to keep their colour and be able to cook through faster..first blanche your vegetables for a couple of minutes..putting the tougher vegetables in the boiling water first for about 30 seconds, then add the broccoli etc. You should be able to put a fork through the broccoli..until it is just starting to soften slightly. You will see the difference when meal is cooked. (Strain the veg after blanching and before they go into the wok). Your wok should be smoking hot).
