No….the elephant in the room is why did some of us pay $1,000, plus tax, for the crappy first version that was a “game changer” last year. The new one that I’ve paid $1,500, plus tax, doesn’t seem as good as Garmin. Btw, my boat is equipped solely, HDS units (12” and 16” with 3D).
I have had to do quite a bit of research to find that this is the NEW set-up. I almost wasted $1600-ish on a live transducer. It's like they still want you to buy the old one, that, like you say, isn't near as good.
