    The camera not on the screen showing the lure working or the bite look like another scam from Garmin live scope you see fish that don't look like a dot all talk watch a live scope demo

      I got plenty of time behind both yes both can draw fish at times. Size of fish matters... distance away....speed that fish is traveling. Angle of fish! When all the stars line up then yes you can get the promotion video of fish looking images. But in real life cituations the images are not fish looking images. For example if the fish is swimming straight away and it's only a 12 inch bass...You tell me how it draws that out on camera! You get my point. Lowrance is very clear and I can see the tail movement from alot of angles. Even though the angle may not be perfect i can still see the movement.

      @@The_Garmin_Guru I'm confused on your comment I can see fish chase my bait with Active Target all day long. Thats not what we are discussing. The discussion is weather they look like a exact replica of a fish. Which if you read my above statement and the stars line up it can happen but 80 percent of the time on both forward looking units they are a blob or a dot. It has to do with cone a fish position.

      The shorter the distance the better fish definition. Scanning out 30' shows better definition than scanning 60' Been using livescope for a while. This looks better. I heard Garmin was partnering with lowrance on this technology then took off and came out with it first. Not sure if it's true.

    this is great technology for now,,,,but in about 5 years or maybe sooner, they will come out with better technology that will be able to distinquish the return on a particular species airbladder and show species and also possible full color video like image, so you truly know for sure its bass , and not non target species, and they will even have settings so it will only show bass, not others, i cant wait for that technology, as good as this is now, because its new , you must pay for all the upfront research and developement, i didnt realize its only a $300 option if you have compatible unit, this is a great buy, and this video will help me to make that decision, as it will truly be the real game changer in the coming years!,,,,,,,but again,,,,,,your fans are so glad your back diamond dave and looking healthier than ever!!

  • @russstone2823

    You called it a confidence booster, I’ll debate that! I’ve been using Garmin and I can see the fish and can’t get them to bite which KILLS my confidence. I used to think, “there not here, I have to go find them”. Now I see them react to the cast splash, but, then they swim away and I start to think...I suck. And, guess what, I do, otherwise I would have collected $4.2 million in winnings.

      @gordmummery 3 роки тому

      Bottom line is you cant catch fish that are not there. This is just a tool to make informed decisions on the water? David, I noticed that some of the promotional images have a bit better resolution to the point in which you may be able to identify the fish species. Not really seeing it in your video but can you comment on what your seeing live? Is there much "fine tuning" that can be done? I have 2 livesight transducers on my boat, one forward on the troller, one on the back looking down for dropshotting. I LOVE the one on the back of the boat. The forward looking livesight I have not been able to use to any effectiveness. Love this video as it demonstrates the narrower cone angle provides the preciseness that would make this a useful tool.

    Really cool video! Definitely got me pumped up! However, I do have a question, I fish mostly in water 8' or less, due to the type a shallow lakes we have here in Ohio. Do you know what the effectiveness of the AT be in shallower water? Everything I've seen seems to take place in 10'-15' or deeper. Man, if you could showcase that feature in your video, that would be so awesome!! Thank you in advance!

    So you have the distant and depth of the fish, that's a two dimension but at which angle is the fish infront of you which shows the 3rd dimension? Assuming you have an angle of 120 degrees that the fish can be anywhere...how do you determine the angle of cast for the fish?

    • @rowdybroomstick1216
      @rowdybroomstick1216 3 роки тому +3

      It's only 18° wide if you pan left and the fish disappears from the screen super fast but to pan right and the picture just keeps getting better until it goes off the screen again then pan back left slowly and you'll have an approximate arrow just from the pointer on the trolling motor and based off the info the graph just gave you on how and where to cast. The distance is on the screen and the depth of the fish is shown, using a countdown method of say 12 second's for a fish that's 15-17 ft deep your bait will be in the view of the fish within seconds. It's not that hard, I promise! I learned the countdown method on crappie a few weekends ago and limited out with forward sonar by ten am

    If it is true that fish get conditioned to the sound and vibrations of forward facing sonar and stop biting over time, then individual manufacturers have a chance to take the lead by simply building a sound distorter on the transducer that mixes up or masks the sound and frequency to keep fish from getting conditioned. Wait and see, this is be a huge selling point for the first company to do it.

      I’m talking about side imaging that hummingbird started in consumer units in the mid 2000’s. That technology existed before hummingbird in commercial surveyors but not affordable to normal people.

    It seems that it has taken the skill out of the sport. Take any eleven year old gamer and they could be the next Rick Clunn. Have ever heard of shooting fish in a barrel!! If this is to stay a part of bass fishing tournaments then it needs to be offset to balance the sport. Let’s say you use this technology then you limited to using 8 pound test to offset the advantage.

    Looks like it takes the skill out of it. Screw fishing your whole life, just buy active target and go pro!

    If you saw the tree that good you should of been able to see your bait and went around tree to the side and not got hung up piss poor advertising. I can do this with Garmin. Now I don't know if I want to spend another $1499.00 on lowerance again. I did it once will I be a super dummy twice

    What a waste of time. How about shutting up the two bit sales pitch. Put the camera on the unit so we can see if your bait is visible and show fish reacting to it. Duh.
