Because they don't sound at all similar melodically or rhythmically to me. This is blues rock, not jazz. Edit: not even jazz, they're surf rock, sounds like Dick Dale. I know that riff they're playing from somewhere, can't place it at the moment though. Their video reminds me of TISM, I hope that's an homage, coz that band never gets the recognition they deserve. Great song, thanks for sharing it. Definitely doesn't sound like this song, but great to see surf rock alive and well.

He is one of the most innovative, genre stylistically bending, rewriting the rules kinda genius ever, the willy wonka of rock, and with occasional some bitboring country,, but always comin back with a twist or memorable delivery. Yeah this guy is gold.

Within the stage of limited space, it works to limit the complexity of the characters, focusing interest on his character, otherwise it would be like a visually noisy cage of monkeys.
This guy's awesome! he's always managed to maintain his unique and distinctive style and improve it along the way. One of my favourite guitarists and performers for a long time already.
