- This video reviews how to solve Bluebook Test 2 Module 2 HARD Question 15 with Desmos. You can complete a linear regression to easily solve for the b value.

You could also use the two points (5, 13) and (12, -15) to find the slope by using y2-y1 / x2-x1 and obtain -15-13 / 12-5 which is equal to -28 / 7 or -4. Now, using one of the points for point-slope form y - y1 = m(x - x1), we can obtain y - 13 = -4(x - 5). If you distribute and add 13 to each side you can obtain y = -4x + 33. Plugging in 0 for y would yield 33. Since (0, 33) is a point and x is zero at that point, the y-coordinate of the y-intercept should be 33 or b.
Yes! Great point! I had actually started recording that explanation as well, but then I realized that most students stop watching my video after the fastest Desmos solution :) I may get around to recording that and then I will post it here. Love to see that solid understanding of Algebra! Thanks for writing it out! I made a handout about that approach here: docs.google.com/document/d/1sho-L_m9qJTPGHDMG3Zw3ur3hPmlr4rdSSixp4e-uxA/edit?usp=sharing
@@SATPrepTutoring @Jack-cc7ie That's the way I was taught to do it but the way done in the video is way faster!
@@AmeliaFernándezRodríguez-r5e Yeah Desmos is amazing! It's great to know all different approaches.
