    there are no hard equations in the sat
    rant but sat is one of the most boring tests in the world, you dont need a brain to get a perfect score while other countries' students have to fight against eachother practicing math olympiad level problems just to prevent themselves from being sent to work in a sweatshop. ok i may have exxagerated but it's unfair how easy sats are and how little passion is put into math in murica

      I hear you. I love challenging math problems like those from math Olympiad. I do like how coachable the SAT is and that UA-cam democratizes test prep. Knowing Desmos is essential to maximizing your score for sure.

      in america the sat is not even 20% of a college application. grades are the main priority, followed closely by standardized testing, AP courses, extra cirriculars(which include clubs, personal projects, etc etc), essays, rec letters, plus a couple others im probably missing right now. In other countries, people focus their entire energy on one entrance exam which determines their fate. SAT shouldnt even be compared to those exams because SAT doesn't make or break ones application. its mainly the grades and the EC's. SAT is just what you need to do to get into college.

      @@mayanktiku9900 I don't entirely agree with all aspects of your claim. So much research is coming out about grade inflation and the value of standardized testing. So many schools are going back to requiring these tests in the US because they have done research to show that standardized test scores are one of the best predictors of academic performance. In an ideal world admissions panels will take a holistic approach to evaluating each applicant. I hear you that standardized tests are a great priority in other countries. I taught at an International School where many students came to America to avoid that situation.

      @@mayanktiku9900 sat score is def more than 20% and that number varies depending on the school you apply too. if you get near a perfect score you can get into a lot of good schools paired with a good gpa and decent ecs it definitely can save your application

    This was literally way too easy, i am 16 year old jee advanced aspirant and solved it under 2 mins
    If this question is "Hard level" in SAT, then i overestimated SAT alot

      That's great that you're already prepping for the SAT! Did you solve it with Desmos or by isolating x? Also how do you do with Reading and Writing?

      @@TestPrepTutoring i did not use desmos
      Heres how i did : bring the term having numerator as C to the left side, now we have X^2 - c^2/ root of (x^2 - c^2) since its a/root(a) we can divide both numerator and denominator by root (a) leaving root(a)/1
      now we have root (x^2 - c^2) = 39, squaring both sides we have x^2 - c^2 = 39^2.
      bring c to right side : x^2 = 39^2 + c^2
      x = +- root (39^2 +c^2)
      since in option there is
      -root(x^2 + 39^2) which is one of the solutions thats why its D
      also i did this in my mind :)
