    ❗TYPO in Question 40!❗
    What I meant to say was that you can recognise ∫ x^2cosx/(1+e^x) (from -pi/2 to pi/2) = ∫ x^2cosx/(1+e^-x) (from -pi/2 to pi/2) and so 2I = ∫ x^2cosx/(1+e^x) + x^2cosx/(1+e^-x) (from -pi/2 to pi/2) = ∫ x^2cosx (from -pi/2 to pi/2) and the rest follows from there :)

    Points to be noted :
    1. The exam is for highschoolers
    2. Students need to complete a course of classical mechanics, extreme basics of quantum mechanics, fluid dynamics, calculus, functions, 3D geometry, electrochemistry, organic chemistry, and many more topics in 2 years.
    3. No calculator is allowed.
    4. On average you get 2 minutes per question (Physics and Chemistry included). Although you can manage the time as it's not necessary to solve all questions.
    Edit :
    5. From mains only 30% of 900,000 get qualified (in some years applicants reach upto 1200,000+). And out of those 30% only 10% are selected after advanced.
    6. Students also need to study additional subjects like language and electives for school exams.
    Pros : students who are selected for the institutes have quite a level of knowledge
    Cons : High school life is immensely stressful

    • @polaris1985
      @polaris1985 6 місяців тому +44

      Point 1&2 ... its not llimited to 2 years only, those who clear the exam start prepration from 9th standard so minimum 4 years time and that too just on three subjects physics, chemistry and maths.... Point 3... Calculator is not needed anyways as there is no calculation....Point 4... Biggest mistake students make is trying to attempt as many as fast as possible, the best results come when the number of wrong answers are minimum.

    • @AbsWrld885
      @AbsWrld885 6 місяців тому +51

      @@polaris1985 Actually no. Those are some people who take extra classes to make advanced preparations before 11th. But people like us start from 11th (The course in schools actually starts from 11th). Also by highschoolers I mean to say that they have not started any UG programme yet.
      Secondly, yes there is no numericals in calculus, but we do need numericals in physics and physical chemistry (mainly operations with 4-5 digit numbers)
      Third, the reason people try to solve maximum questions is because the top 100-150 people always score 210+ out of 360 (maximum marks vary depending on the year). So if you want to be selected you must try not to skip more than 20 questions. Yes they do end up doing mistakes in the end, but it is the pressure that makes them do that.
      Fyi on average more than 250,000 apply for advanced and only 25,000 get selected. In case of JEE mains, applicants are more than 900,000 (this year it is 1200,000+) and again only about 270,000 are qualified for admission in quality institutes or proceeding for JEE advanced for IIT.
      So you know the competition....
      Edit : Plus,yes it is only PCM for JEE. But you also need to study additional subjects like two languages and an elective because you need to give school exams as well.

      @@EllieSleightholm Feeling very grateful that you replied. I am trying to say that there are some specific top rank deciding questions that according to to the official data released by the conducting IIT , only 1 or 2 percent of candidates were able to attempt the question correctly under the immense exam pressure . These most tough questions are designed in a way that it must be skipped in the exam hall , otherwise it will consume your time and at last you will find that your answer even doesn't matches the options .
      Note : Advanced level High School physics and chemistry is also there. For physics preparation we use IE IRODOV which is one of the most difficult high school physics book . Actually the first question can be solved in another and easier to think way that we can just split P = B + I as all the diagonals are 1 of P... now as B would be a matrix with trace(B)=0 hence we can think of nilpotent matrices as they also have their trace = 0... so if we do B^3 then we can see that it is a null matrix.... Now P^50 = (B+I)^50...Now as Identity matrix is commutative with all comparable matrices hence we can apply Binomial expansion in (B+I)^50... as B^3=0 hence we would only need to calculate till B^3 and rest all terms would get zero as if B^3=0 then B^4=B^5=B^6=.......=0... hence we can find P^50 in such a way too... btw very infomative vid...

Most students do not understand the logics or the deep explanations behind these problems. All they do is learn by heart and learn the patterns and finally vomit in the exams thus decreasing the excellencies. This is so sad to see . That is why IIT's has never produced any notable noble laurates or people who have gained significant prizes for their contribution in a particular streams such as the fields medal.

    Kudos on solving this paper so easily. However, one of the tricks to solving this paper quickly is, especially MCQs, is to verify the result raher than actually solving it. For example in the coordinate geometry equation could have calculated the point P and the could have verified the equation of the plane that satisfies the point P and the straight line. Could have saved maybe 30 seconds?

      no problem in those questions if more population could solve them. This helps in promoting meritocracy & critical thinking and compel the high schoolers to strive for better opportunities. We need more skilled and dedicated labor force for better future.

    scoring 50% marks is enough to get rank under 1000....this way, you can expect the difficulty of questions...especilly maths remains toughtest paper every year

      @@IamVaskar Hi You should definitely go for PhD because you get alot of time to do your research and during PhD course you have to cover a specific topic. and there is no comparison between JEE and PhD because in JEE you have to cover all your subject but in phd not. This is done by teens and with strict time limits and negative marking. So doing the equations is not enough in a relaxed setting.
