    Been doing this for years! It's a lot of fun and the auctions around where I live are really cheap! I buy for $1-$10 and sell for $100+

    This is great! I'm very interested. I restore furniture and since I'm a perfectionist it takes a looooong time. The idea of just flipping for profit without quite so much work would be a great thing to ad to the mix while I'm staining and painting away...

    We have an old building it was a resterant I have tons of vintage chairs probably from 70s or 60s in the building and have no clue where to start not only chairs there's tables booths and everything the resterant had. I was going to scrap it but then I had an idea of fixing them up is it worth it? Should I start with a set of two or four or what do u recommend I would really appreciate guidance thanks

    I didn't know people were flipping furniture....I just happened up on this channel looking for ideas on how to sell furniture that I have,namely a coffee table,lamps and maybe the sofa& love seat if finances don't change, they are brand new, purchased in 2012 never used.....I don't want to deal with Craigs list I've heard too many bad things....I think that I will take some pics send it to family with the price....and see if they know someone......if you have some ideas that will be great

      Funny but true.
      I wouldn't wear lipstick because People put a price on things, as a seller and a buyer. So people can make $, as long as someone puts a price on what they are willing to pay.

      Brad Speckman hi Brad, at the moment, I don't have plans to make a second course. There are so many niches to go into and it would be hard to create a course on 'what to look for' with such a varied interests by many... Have you had any success in finding great deals and making a flip?

      Raddy McBarknuckles true. I watched a video, however, from a couple who does this, that said Fedex or UPS will pick it up for an extra $75 or so, but you can factor that cost into the price you’re selling it for.

    Here's the problem: This "advice" isn't free, and that's where I draw the line. If this business was so successful, you wouldn't be trying to SELL it to us and you wouldn't be trying to make a profit off it. You could easily make a blog or web series and make money off UA-cam ads. Don't try and make us give you credit card information to learn your "secrets". That's an amateur business strategy.

    • @flippingfurniture

      insaneapples Your logic is a very stupid one.

    • @FastingWisdom
      @FastingWisdom 8 років тому +6

      And your attitude is why you will remain broke. Mr. Ross, I have followed him for years and he is straight up and honest. You are just one of those people who will always find excuses to not do something. Well that is your life. Stay broke.

    • @mjt1517
      @mjt1517 8 років тому +1

      Free information is rarely valued or acted upon.
      Your "logic" makes no sense. If that were true, then medical training that someone would pay for would be worthless, because if a medical practice were really bringing in money, then they wouldn't be selling training, they'd just be doing the medical practice.
      It's called "multiple streams of income".

    • @mjt1517

      Oh, and amateur business strategy would be to try to monetize something like this with Adsense ads.

    How do you suggest shipping them? I have a Maitland Smith armchair which is a very heavy chair. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

    • @flippingfurniture
      @flippingfurniture  9 років тому

      zoheret15 You'll likely need to deal with companies that specialize in crates and freights. THey're expensive, but when dealing with higher priced valuables, the clients usually don't mind paying the fees to get those items delivered. Depending on where it's going, you might even use transporter services. Shop around to get quotes from multiple sources.

      My grandfather made a living doing this and took it one step further because he was also interested in upholstery. For some items he would re-upholster and raise the value. By no means is this a get rich quick scheme. He supported a wife and 7 kids COMFORTABLY in the 40s, 50s and 60s and retired early.....all through flipping furniture.
