28 years, but it was family though. Did not know there was an illness just though bad tempered/poor (horrible) behavior.

took me about 15 years before I could put a label on it but back then (almost 40 yrs ago now) NPD was a fairly new term

I was over 3yrs into my relationship. He's a covert narcissist. I've been 5 months no contact with him at this time. I'm thankful that I found my way out. Now I'm using therapy to process what I've been through.
