It really is. By now we'd had the man of faith miracle episode. Now it was time for the man of science to step up (after a little help from the man of faith) 😅 Love the way this speech is never forgotten and referenced throughout the rest of the show
Jack didnt say live together die alone. He said if we dont live together, we are going to die alone. Jack didnt die alone, vincent was with him when he died.
Probably just a fun coincidence but Matthew Fox basically does a rendition of Matthew 12:22 “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.”
The "Leave me alone" part was so badly acted though. They should have redid that line and spaced out his words like "leave... HIM alone with more emphasis and emotion in the dialogue. But what ever, its small small nitpick. Many of the actors at this early stage has some amature mistakes like Eva lilly crying was way off point at first but she quickly improved in later episodes.
Gotta disagree. I find Locke to be incredibly selfish and self-centered at times. Boone was a narcissist and was often unaware of his own limitations. Charlie could be very childish and selfish, and Hugo isn't really willing to take charge. Jack is essentially forced into a leadership position because people respect his judgement and ability to function under pressure, and he plays the role like a champion. Throughout the first half of the series, Jack's sole objective is the survival of every last individual amongst the crew. His controlling nature may be frustrating at times, but there is no question he has fought on behalf of the rest of the crew a lot - likely more than any other individual.
Walkabout gets all of the attention, but this episode is equally incredible.

you. you get it.'
Brooooo wtf
I’d run through a brick wall for Jack
When Jack stepped up
One of my favorite lines from LOST
Awesome speech
I wrote that one
Such a powerful speech
"live together, die alone" is as iconic as "save the cheerleader, save the world"
Except this one, actually makes sense
Difference is this show didn’t drop off after the second season. It did that on the 6th season.
One of my favorite quotes of all time.
EPIC
Live together die alone... :)
...dude
*Dude!*
Iconic
God it's nice to go back to The Island. And with everything going on in the world right now, we all need to listen to Jack here.
I miss that
Epic
We need to come together.

Goosebumps
best line
🥰💚🥰
**gasp**

No it sounded a real “leave him alone”
@dyllan544 I wouldn't say that. Hugo, Charlie, Locke, And Boone were all more selfless. Jack actually becomes pretty selfish after season 1
Yeah, so selfish that he sacrificed himself for his friends. You're such a douchebag 🤦🏻♂️.

@@burningsickle Spot on. Thank you so much.
Jack only became selfish after season 4 when he wanted to take everyone back but even that wasn’t that bad
Locke selfless? Lmao
