Anyone else have the problem where you play a game for abit then suddenly get kicked off the internet for about 5 seconds then comes back on but it doesn’t do it on my phone or anything ?

Like I’ve had my ps5 for months with no issues and suddenly today it started doing just what the guy mentioned. I’ll be playing a online game like Elden Ring for about 5-10 minutes just fine and suddenly I just get kicked off claiming my Ethernet cable is not connected even though it clearly is and nothing is wrong with it and then it’ll suddenly say connected again but it kicks me off the game and it’ll keep doing this. It also does it even if my Ethernet cable isn’t plugged in and says it’s my wifi instead. This is extremely bizarre. And your video is pretty old but I’m experiencing this problem now currently. How can this many people be having the same problem and Sony hasn’t addressed it? This seems like a major major issue. Like I legit can’t play my online games at all, it happens so damn frequently. But my phone and other devices are all fine, it’s just the ps5 effected with whatever the hell is going on. Can this seriously fix the problem? Just changing a few numbers? Like I legit have the same issue the guy above is describing. Happens over and over again.
Was having issues with multiplayer games and it kept having me lag in and out waayy too much so I really do hope this works and if it does, thanks man a whole lot!

See my issue is whenever I put my ps5 in rest mode and I wanna play every time I turn on my PlayStation it says I have no internet connection and the only way I can reconnect is if I restart my wifi I literally have to do this every single day I want to play it’s annoying asf cause my mom works from home and when she’s working I can’t reset the wifi

Thought it might be a GTA online issue. Only happens when I’m playing GTA. So annoying being in a mission or getting a lap-dance at the shoe store and boots you out. 🤦🏻♂️ Hopefully this solution works! Thanks dude!

What this does is making the PS5 use google's DNS. I've been using this DNS for years for my PS4 and still on my PS5. But I still got the connection issue on the PS5.
Does this work too if you’re connected wired? AKA LAN cable Because I would log in my PS5 and I go to network settings it says I’m connected but the PS Store is not available and my connection status states “unknown” The only way I’ve managed to “fix this” is my unplugging my LAN cable and plug back in to my router. This though can get annoying and old. Any else experienced this?

I’m connected online bc I can still play FIFA online w other players but the store is the only thing not available. I’ll just hope next system update it fixes itself

My ps5 will disconnect then reconnect instantly to the internet. Kicking me from Warzone and other games. Cat7 Wired connected same wire tested on Xbox. So stupid
cannot even connect to the network in the first place, to access DNS settings. my wiFi signal is 150 mbps, the PS5 is a right next to the router. what a joke of a consol

That's awesome man! It was bugging me for a while and after doing some research I came to this conclusion. Felt I should help others because I wasn't alone.
My problem is every time I turn my console on it says the servers are down, which they aren’t, and every time I go to my settings to test internet connection it just turns off

Guys what worked for me is that I deleted my WiFi , then re put the password and connected it again. It works perfectly

My Ps5 fails to connect still after that. It was so good after 2 weeks. I was never experiencing the drop outs until today

No it's just wifi only that this would work for. If connected Lan it should work no problem without any adjustments.

Try hard connection and see if it's not an issue with your internet provider.

This is only for wifi. If you are connecting to Lan then it would connect automatically.
