If there's a heaven, I hope it's an eternal Neurosis show.
That's so beautiful to say!
Most consistent and innovative "heavy" type band since Sabbath. But with zero rock star bullshit.
+Duane Nash Agreed! Neurosis is about the heaviest band in the world IMO.
+Ryan Hoffman indeed, never lost their integrity or sold their souls. always pure respect for these men.
+Duane Nash They have a small crew and pretty much set up their own equipment. I found that respectable after all these years.
+DeathMetalRob they never lost their souls because they are at zero
iam spoon bender Oh me me! Can I answer? ;)
The drummer Jason Roeder is such a beast. I love how all his power comes from the lower arm and wrist - the rest of his body remains upright and immovable the rest of the time. Watch his torso - it never moves. Perfect spine posture. Discipline.
Doing work at the end of Times of Grace. Sooo good.
Living in Eastern Europe I saw them live exactly ONE single time and it kills me that I most probably never have the chance to see them live again.
I saw them in Madison at the beginning of this tour. They played a slightly longer set.It was the loudest and heaviest thing I've ever experienced in my life. This video does a Neurosis concert no justice. You have to see them live. I didn't feel right for 24 hours after the their set and I was completely sober.
I saw them headline a 1996 show promoting the new release of Through Silver In Blood. I STILL don't feel right.
Yeah, they're fucking amazing. I've seen them three times. The first time was in 1996.
0:01 A Sun That Never Sets
5:31 Locust Star
12:24 Distill (Watching the Swarm)
23:25 At the Well
35:27 The Doorway
44:17 My Heart for Deliverance
57:54 Times of Grace
1:07:45 Through Silver in Blood
thx
So sweet of you!!! ❤️
Dave's part at the end of Locust Star gives me chills every time. Dude has a demon living in those chords.
Dave sing like Mark Greenway from napalm death.
@@lastrafahell rather more than the guy from Gorefest, Jan-Chris.
Every second of Neurosis tickles my brain. Constant eargasm
Saw these guys in 1990 at Eugene's and again in 94 (with Sleep) at the Casbah in SD. Good to see they've stuck to their guns all this time.. Love the footage. thanks!
That was the best live show I ever went to!
***** That guy in the bright shirt who passed out?
I was at this show, nice to find it on here.
incredible live sound & power
Aaaaamazing footage, up to 11 on my system, its like being there!
Also great to have the static camera, so many live dvds have been ruined by weird editing and too many camera movements...when the music & the band are awesome you dont need much more...
One of the best live recordings here in youtube, thank you guys
the thick atmosphere theory was officially proven by neurosis, fucking huge dinosaurs could life when they play.
Excellent video. These guys are incredible live
I wish they release some new album, this guys are genuine and pure emotion.
They did: Look up "Fires Within Fires".
I just saw this same set in New Orleans. AMAZING SHOW!!!!
Jason is legit incredible
This was my first time seeing Neurosis and for them to close with Through Silver In Blood was fucking amazing. Thanks a ton for sharing this!
This band is amazing! Dopeness beyond dopeness 10/10
This is AWESOME!!! Thanks for uploading. I'm from NZ so I imagine this will be the only way I see these guys live...:-( I was introduced to Neurosis by terrorizer magazine. They gave the album of through silver in blood high reviews so I had to check them out. Fortunately that was one of the most AWESOME albums I have ever heard!!! Jesus Christ!!! Are they fucking heavy??? Yes they fucking are!!! Terrorizer also turned me onto the band the Swans. That is just as fucking intense!!! In fact Jarboe teamed up with Neurosis in a side project!!! Awesome!!! Just to awesome for words really!!!
Goood, this setlist, i'm so jealous..
Saw them live and right back into heavy listening rotation.
impressive as always
if only...
Thanks for this man ! You're doing some great stuff
this is outstanding! thank you!
Good performance and excellent sound.
They sound amazing in this video. Props to whoever filmed it and did the audio, it is killer. I don't think I've heard them sound this good live in a while and it is good to see they're in top form.
Hamburg yesterday: more than words can say. Great
Through Silver In Blood was intense! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing. Thank you guys.
Kurwa, a ja się zastanawiam jakim cudem przegapiłem koncert w Warszawie... ;D
More heavy bands need to listen to Swans. It helps!
Swans,Coil,dry lung compilations! Ya!
thank you to the band and to whomever filmed this. A: 10; V:10!! pure face melting live metal beautifully captured
Can't wait to see them in two weeks in oslo.
I'm so jelaous :(
Relatively new to this band but wow "my heart for deliverance" is pretty much orgasm in musical form
Man, what a fucking set
Always amazing. Miss the visuals behind them during their set tho.
They stopped doing it after 'A Sun that Never Sets',...the Internet, Ipads and laptops where you can just turn on built-in 'visalizers' while listening to any music, it all has become visually sensory overfeed so they quit all of the interactive things they did before.
live visuals were used till 2012
Holy shit! Fantastic
What are some Neurosis songs that are like A Sun That Never Sets. New fan here and it's by far my favorite song.
Check out From the Hill, Season in the Sky and Falling Uknown. Personally, my favorite "slow" Neurosis song is Origin. Epic on every level.
Wooooh! Still being processed I guess. What's the resolution, 720p max?
I cried at this show. Real talk.
at 6:45 - i scream "FUCK YEAH"
+Jay Gordon Well done ;)
Who the fuck puts thumbs down on this???
it's odd how triumphant neurosis' music is despite its huge discordance
That's because they're about finding the light in the darkness. Much like our Lord did to save our souls from sin.
fuckin killing....
Holy fucking shit !!!!!
to proza... proza życia
Audience member thought process..........."Hey, let's go to that Neurosis concert and shout out over most of the quiet parts and ruin the atmosphere for everyone else there".
yep, attentions seeking audience members are the worst
brutal....
Fucking brilliant !
the first time I did shrooms I was listening to Locust Star as it hit, been a fan ever since.
10:29 - When you meet the final boss
anyone know what keyboard noah is playing?
Foda pra caralho!!!!
56:10-57:20 Sample of a song from the next album, maybe??
Nope, it was just noodling ambiance.
czemu ja o tym nic nie wiedziałem :/
Może dlatego, że to było w Nowym Jorku :)
nice to see drummers actually enjoy themselves and not just do it for money
public sucks.
lol its hard to look metal when youre playing a synthesizer
It's hard to play true when you're trying to look some part...
