When I saw them in Madison, WI, I think the crowd was so completely in awe the entire time (and the music so loud) that there was nothing to do except respect the presence and noise. A damn shame when the crowd doesn't show their respect.
I'm really impressed with this show. At one time Neurosis were gods. I haven't heard them sound as good and as focused as this since about '99-2000ish.
+malonemuert might just be me, but this whole set feels off. maybe the place had bad energy, the people tend to talk during the brooding silent moments.
Axeman Cartoons I was thinking the same thing. Still great but it seems like they were just a tiny bit off. Still awesome though. And yeah, people need to stop talking during the quiet bits. If they don't want to listen why are they there? I'm glad that guy screamed "shut the fuck up". It worked, a bit. Lol
I find it funny because you can totally tell the other guys caught onto it real quick, but Steve was totally immersed into the music to the point of auto pilot haha Ive done that a few times in shows before
+Vajner László I've seen him do it before, it's a bit of a shock to see someone just full on headbutt his microphone so hard it swings round 180 degrees.
Mmm I'm a little confuse with comments complaining about people talking in the show, I think that there are samples what sound in between songs. And yeah the audience was too cold but the truth is that Neurosis is not the kind of band who knows how to interact with the audience. Otherwise, amazing show! Specially "The Door", my favorite song from these guys!
There was.....kind of: back in 2004 I saw Jarboe (from Swans) singing with Neurosis. That's was the support for an all-Neurosis gig. Neurosis essentially played two shows back to back.
Some people on here are saying this show is a bit off . But I'm not hearing that at all . The crowd are dicks talking in quiet bits of songs . The problem maybe the amount of equipment they have in such a small venue on a small stage . That would have been a ball ache to sort that out more for crew members than anything .
I know Neurosis is experimental but those bendings at the intro were so out of tune. Still doesnt take away the immersion you experience when listening such titans
Noah's got such a weird job in the band, unless I don't know what it's like to do synths and samples. He looks like he has to get way intensely into playing his instruments when actually performing with them doesn't seem even slightly demanding. Not saying he's not good at what he does, just that it's funny that you have to act intense when you're ultimately not doing much. XD
The closing of Through Silver in Blood continues to be the most metal thing on the planet.
always...
Their music is so emotionally charged and uplifting, but simultaneously crushing and devastating. Quite remarkable.
Dave Edwardsons vocals are absolutely monstrous, especially on locust Star.
He is the most Death Metal voice EVER and He probably never involved in Death Metal and yes I like Morbid Angel....
That's a killer setlist
"My Heart for Deliverance"... What a song. Touches my soul every time
the sheer emotion that "Locust Star" carries is otherwordly... what a masterpiece.
Noah has got to be the most intense keys player I’ve ever seen in my life.
Also, Saint Vitus is the exact kind of venue neurosis is meant to be seen

Best fuckin band in the world
Why always The tide song bring tear in my eyes
I truly discovered them this year, going through everything, watching this right now, so blown away and happy by everything they are doing.
some guy around 57 minutes says "this is dangerous" sums up neurosis
hahah!
What a band. Sensational.
Appreciate the upload. Can never get enough live Neurosis.
So good, great sound and footage!
Killer set!!!!

Von till sang the wrong lyrics during Times of Grace, but you know what? He gets a pass because he's FUCKING STEVE VON TILL!
+Axeman Cartoons he also came too early with the 2nd verse, but who cares :D

When Scott bumps his head into the mic (6:50), was it just an accident?
+Vajner László Nope, that's why he often has that mark on his head.
+Kennedy Aaron Cool! :D

"Broken lips from microphone brawls"
Stones From the Sky
Thanx for upload!!! I think new CD out in september? NEUROSIS are amazing!!!
I think the guitars could sound a bit louder and crunchier, vocals sounds supreme.

The sludge scene is known for being anti-showmanship.
The guy that screams "SHUT THE FUCK UP" when at At The Well kicks in should have done it from the very start of the show.
Neurosis are visceral and brutally, emotionally heavy as fuck.
Imagine a dual show of neurosis and swans
Or a triple bill of Neurosis, SWANS, and Godflesh!
There was.....kind of: back in 2004 I saw Jarboe (from Swans) singing with Neurosis. That's was the support for an all-Neurosis gig. Neurosis essentially played two shows back to back.
6:50 WTF?
Watch more live Neurosis videos. Scott often is bloody by the end of shows.

TSiB
Something wrong with the sound mix
It's your tiny ears, and tears

BennickGAdeus haha I’ve thought that for years. I’m always like, why is he making such goofy faces??
Goddamn shame a band that talented is playing clubs
suburban wana be sad
How do you follow that?
