rshumi the press build (the one you see in gameplays) is an earlier version of the game, meaning that many aspects of the game have been improved, including AI
The original Project CARS might've had a (relatively) small selection of cars to choose from, but every single car felt different, even if it was a different variant of the same vehicle. If pCARS 2 can do the same, and still have more cars... Then it might just be the motorsport simulation experience we've been waiting for.
If the physics will be like pCars1 that's not the experience we've been waiting for. All these feautures in the game are great but the physic can destroy it like it did in pCars 1
You forgot to include the improved car setup. For those who don't understand how to set up a car, you can now select feedback options for what you want or any problems with the handling and have the game adjust it for you until you're satisfied. And also the force feedback setup has been drastically simplified from the previous game's wild and unnecessarily complicated setup that not even the game's developers nor the manufacturers of the peripherals could understand.
This year we have that one ambitious game which is Project CARS 2, that one game which a lot of kids play which is FM7, and there's that one game which doesn't know what the devs and/or the fans want which is GT Sport.
I think GTS' carreer will expand tenfold during its lifespan. The focus onto online racing is awesome as well. It's the only way to further hone your skills. I am replaying GT4 now on my PS2, for some old school action. Physics still hold up really well. Tried Yellowbird on the Nurb, it was identical to the real video. That car's scary to drive; and really difficult without a wheel.
There are some not-so-kiddish players in Forza, but considering how lackluster FM7 is looking to be, I'll bet a bunch will at least dip a foot into PC2.
Fairly certain that most people considered the visuals of the original Project Cars to be one of the standout features and on that front at least, it certainly was not dwarfed by it's competition.
Vehicle and track selection are excellent. Controller Gameplay has improved but not nearly enough to be competitive, if you're going to play with a controller I highly recommend spending a few hours tinkering with the controller input settings. Each car still feels different. I completed a great controller setup on a GT3 car and when I went to drive a road car I couldn't make it around the track. So test on multiple vehicles to find something general you can get used to. Tuning your cars helps tremendously. Car sounds are beautifully realistic. The tracks look beautiful until you look into the far background scenery. Its just squares of general designs and you can tell they only spent time on the small surroundings the driver actually sees. Car interiors are perfect. I've heard the VR is unequaled, but have not tried it for myself. Overall I think an 8/10 is justified - this is not an easy game, but if you put the time and effort in it is supremely rewarding.
Hopefully they fix the crash physics in the game from the first one like when you go into a wall softly your wheel came off or when you are wheel to wheel racing and you touch wheels it sends your car onto two wheels and it latches onto the ground flips your car uncontrollably and everything falls off your car
Imagine trying to get to mix all of the motorsport games into one game available on all consoles. Most likely forza car list, PC2 track list, graphics from GTS (and the scapes mode) a lot of rally tracks with the help from dirt 4 and compromise somewhere in the middle for handling. Add something else you would like in the game and what franchise it would come from.
I felt that the 2 things that disturbed me the most in the first game were the ai and the non-existent damage model, glad to see at least one of these fixed...
This is tempting me now I was gona get forza 7 cos it's good to play on controller 🎮 but this game looks alot better than forza 👌 if it plays good on controller im sold 👍
U can play on controller in PC2 by changing the control settings of steering as controller tilting(if ur on ps4 idk about other consoles), but just not as immersive and you wont get the feel of the uhh... simulation just like steering wheels, still its playable just tweak the configurations and controls and ur done, demo is out btw.
Or u can get Gran Turismo Sport which also another best racing game of 2017, I heard its good to play on controllers than PC2, both games won a nominee award for the best sports/sim game of 2017
I'm getting a lots of feedback saying that not much is improved in PC2, I'm not so enthusiastic about this. Maybe as a eye candy but that's about it. You can't beat iRacing with physics and that's what simmers will look for.
Assetto it perfect choice with thousands mod.. Now race department have over ten thousand mod just for assetto corsa.. From car to track.. Drift to rally
FIRST thing to know is that developer IS AFRAID to show any official CONSOLE gold build footage!!! Game went gold weeks ago - but ZERO gold build ON CONSOLE produced material! Beware...
First project cars was broken and unplayable for the first 6 months and then it was crap . Asseto corsa was broken and unplayable for first 6 months and that were crap . Hope PC2 is better
I played the fist Project Cars when they offered it free with Xbox gold. It comes out 26 days after Forza 7 and if it looks good I will probably get PC2 and Forza 7.
Bought the first one. Had many pros but the cons kept me from enjoying it entirely. Sorry, but I will not be buying this one. Wish they'd make another NFS Shift since slightly mad know how to add good damage and mistakes made by AI so it felt more real, but still arcade like.
Can't wait! I hope I get my fuelling right in this one! My face when I have ran out of fuel on three separate occasions while in the lead 😩 That said, it's one of the reasons that makes this game so great; it's not easy. Can anyone suggest the best way to make sure you fuel correctly? I have been trying to divide the fuel used in qualifying for the whole race. Either my maths is off or something else? Likely my maths? 😊
Race with math it real physic.. U must calculate all track and how u race style.. Tyre.. Floor gas.. It all have math on that.. Better with wheel steer.. If u have logitech wheel g27 or better.. Than u understand how diffrent style we race
Before I buy it for XBox One, I wait for sime reviews of the controller gameplay - which was the main drawback of PC #1... Turbo engine Formula cars were impossible to drive esp. in rain...
I got the first Project Cars from Xbox gold when they offered it for free, I liked it but I liked Forza 6 better and will be getting Forza 7 when it's released. However if the gameplay looks good I will probably get it also.
Whatever you want to do with it.... BUT.......... Someone pull the plug ? Whats' the but?! We _HAVE_ to know. Also can't wait to drive the ZL1 in Pcars 2. Will save me some tires and money from spending on my real one!
AwesomeAQ8013 Depends, do you have a wheel? If not, then I'd stick with something like Forza or GT. Games like AC, PC2, rFactor, or iRacing should be played with a wheel.
Ugh, another commercial. All you NEED to know about ProjectCars 2 is that the dev's abandoned the first game in a broken state, with a terrible AI in order to make it. How consumer friendly. Give it three months, they'll announce ProjectCars 3 and abandon this one too.
I purchased Project Cars on Steam & felt completely ripped off, 2 months after the game release, "Slightly mad studios" purposely cut Most of the tracks/ special cars & forced players to buy them in expensive DLC packs. PLEASE DON'T BUY PC2 ON DAY 1, wait 6 months for a steam sale. I feel cheated by this company , I can promise you 100% Project cars 2 will be lacking in content with cut cars/tracks being sold as DLC later instead of getting a full game.
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT....WHAT? "In a racing simulation market dominated by Forza and GranTurismo", stay right there I'm calling the police. Did you just assume Forzas and GTs genre? AND YOU ASSUMED IT WRONG?! Anyway my point is, this guy has no idea what he is talking about. Making his points less valid then someone who does. HOPE YALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Reinhard Ecker I'm hoping you are not serious, GT was never a sim. At most....AT MOST...it was a simcade. GT Sport won't either be a sim, this has already been confirmed from previews. Same can be said for Forza series and the new Motorsport. Idk why I'm even answering you. Learn the difference between a sim, simcade and arcade.
Xainer Like it or not, but the Forza games (apart from the Horizon Series) and Gran Turismo series are simulations. Just like Project Cars 1. The developers try to make realistic games and use methods for recreating it. No game reaches the goal of realism but some simply do a better job when it comes to getting near to it. Just because a game doesn't accomplish its goal it doesn't mean that it's not a simulation.
ThePandafriend Look, I am not saying they are bad games for what they are. They are NEVER marketed as simulations. Just because they have realistic graphics doesn't make them a sim, PCars1 advertised as a sim, but it failed because FFB was complex and unfinished, physics were off. Making it seem more like a simcade than a pure sim. Again, Forza and GT are NOT sims, nor ar marketed as sims. Sim market is filled with games such as iRacing, rFactor, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista, just to name a few...again I'm not saying Forza or GT are bad, because they definitely aren't since they are fun to play, BUT THEY ARE NOT SIMS!
you forgot to mention all the cars are rehashed crap from old games and most likely still old unfinished place holder physics . your just reading from a slightly mad studios press release .
Playing multiplayer *not online* are you able to choose everything, cars, tracks, ... for free or do you have to buy them to play against AI or a friend?
Xavier Mathews They definitely are, but if you 1.) Make the effort to learn them deeply 2.) Use a steering Wheel Then they practically become Zen. Sims can feel astronomically better than Arcade racers if you have the patience for them.
Semi-Hilarious Oreo nah man I don't have patience I remember when I was playing the old grab Turismo games and I had to do an endurance race of 100 laps I was like heck no lol. I do have the first project cars though but I gave up on that one but I did spend a lot of hours on it.
Nathan Drake I can imagine lol. I remember back when I was like 8 I wanted to grind for a Bugatti Veyron in the PSP Gran Turismo. Played 100 laps on S difficulty on the Grand Canyon Route. Got me the money, except I've been mentally scarred ever since that day xD. Sometimes you choose the game. Sometimes the game makes you choose a car that makes you choose a different game.
I love some of the so-called "features". Example: "Authenticity... that doesn't mean a slower game pace... racing in this game is going to be fast". Well, it's a racing game, who would expect it to be slower?? I'm not sure I follow your reasoning here.In any case, why do we NEED to know those "features" before buying? "Massive roaster of cars", to me this is already a big warning sign, caution! Not in-depth sim, like its predecessor.
Seriously, knowing this is coming from SMS, there are but two things we need to know before deciding whether to buy this or not. 1 - is it a hype and actually a disappointment on release regarding the many promises, especially physics and control/FFB? And 2 - is this product going to be supported, or will that be like PCARS, a "launch and forget" product? We'll just have to wait for a few good reviews, and give it some time before deciding to buy it.
Hello everyone, I’ve been wanting to buy a racing game for a while now. I currently own a PS4 but I’ve played forza, and like it’s arcade racing style. Unfortunately they don’t sell forza for PS4. What’s a great arcade racing game for the PS4? Thanks.
My only complaint is the horrible controller handling and The fact that you don’t own the cars ,you can’t customise them like on Forza. I’ve stuck by forza since the start so call me a fanboy if you will.
The first Project Cars may not have been the best, but I'm optimistic that Project Cars 2 will be a large improvement.
From the gameplays I have seen, the AI still needs some improvement.
rshumi the press build (the one you see in gameplays) is an earlier version of the game, meaning that many aspects of the game have been improved, including AI
Number Two I have pc2 and it is amazing so realistic so much better than forza and the other one
Take a shot every time he says authentic or authenticity
im drunk
Piece of shit
I died of alcohol poisoning
The original Project CARS might've had a (relatively) small selection of cars to choose from, but every single car felt different, even if it was a different variant of the same vehicle. If pCARS 2 can do the same, and still have more cars... Then it might just be the motorsport simulation experience we've been waiting for.
PLus physics are 10 times better.
Physics really need to be better this time...
If the physics will be like pCars1 that's not the experience we've been waiting for. All these feautures in the game are great but the physic can destroy it like it did in pCars 1
newsflash its allready a joke compared to PC only sims.
I'm not joking Duke, are you lonely? Why are you doing this and why you think people care for what you have to say?
It would be cool if it had a drag racing track
I play forza horizon 3 a lot, but when I went back to project cars, I just remember how realistic and lovely the cars sound
Up to date one of my favorite Race Games. I know it isn´t perfect, it got flaws, but I like it.
You forgot to include the improved car setup. For those who don't understand how to set up a car, you can now select feedback options for what you want or any problems with the handling and have the game adjust it for you until you're satisfied.
And also the force feedback setup has been drastically simplified from the previous game's wild and unnecessarily complicated setup that not even the game's developers nor the manufacturers of the peripherals could understand.
i was really put off by having to set up FFB for every car.Is it confirmed that there will be good configurations for each car by default?
This year we have that one ambitious game which is Project CARS 2, that one game which a lot of kids play which is FM7, and there's that one game which doesn't know what the devs and/or the fans want which is GT Sport.
DriftinGorillaz fm7 for me. And you?
Chameleon Agario I'll probably take PCars 2 and GT Sport because I have a PS4.
DriftinGorillaz ohh. Im on pc so Fm7
I think GTS' carreer will expand tenfold during its lifespan. The focus onto online racing is awesome as well. It's the only way to further hone your skills. VR is the reason I bought the first, and VR is going to be the reason I will buy the second.
Before you buy hahaha whatever I've never pre ordered a collectors edition so fast in my life. I love cars and I am so hyped for this game :)
Hi, If you are interested to race in championships, or just on events. Join us here www.internationalracingleague.com/
Lol, same here man
DAY ONE EDITION
I found it for $42 here: goo.gl/81ssFf
Adam Thompson same here 😂
you sound like their salesman
Me: Aaa shit! I already bought it.
Project cars 2: When
For Christmas. YESTERDAY!
Fairly certain that most people considered the visuals of the original Project Cars to be one of the standout features and on that front at least, it certainly was not dwarfed by it's competition.

The most noticable thing about the first PC was the very realistic engine sounds
16. They aren't including Touge tracks. A real shame, was really looking forward to them.
Did I see an oval track?
EazyE yeah
yes sir. Daytona
EazyE
There's also Texas and Indianapolis
Coo, I have project cars 1 but im not sure If I want this or forza.
Texas Motor Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Daytona are all confirmed to be in the game.
I SO miss Road Atlanta and Sebring that were once the go-to tracks in SCGT so long ago.
never played the first one, but this looks like a good way to pass time until the new GT game comes out :)
Hopefully they fix the crash physics in the game from the first one like when you go into a wall softly your wheel came off or when you are wheel to wheel racing and you touch wheels it sends your car onto two wheels and it latches onto the ground flips your car uncontrollably and everything falls off your car
I personally think they should have an online setting so you can have a team of drivers for each car (like Le Mans) but for any kind of endurance race
This game bangs, when you get the controller setting right.
Maybe a small correction: there will be no psvr for project Cars 2.
I just bought it 2 days ago for the ps4 and all i have to say..... it has a ton of courses to choose from
6:32 HELL YEAH! 4K on all three monitors? I wasn't aware of this until now, and boy am I happy!
I felt that the 2 things that disturbed me the most in the first game were the ai and the non-existent damage model, glad to see at least one of these fixed...
Nitai Hativa Non existing damage model ??? Did you turn damage on ? Or is it sarcastic??
How can you forget the most important aspect for which this game is known.. The PHYSICS man..
I love how most of the hate on this game is purely from people that suck and don’t know how to actually race respectfully on PC2
This is tempting me now I was gona get forza 7 cos it's good to play on controller 🎮 but this game looks alot better than forza 👌 if it plays good on controller im sold 👍
Johny Jackson It's terrible on consoles, especially XBox.
LOL good use of those emojis
U can play on controller in PC2 by changing the control settings of steering as controller tilting(if ur on ps4 idk about other consoles), but just not as immersive and you wont get the feel of the uhh... simulation just like steering wheels, still its playable just tweak the configurations and controls and ur done, demo is out btw.

@James Knowlen I have pc2 and I drive very well with a controller with no assists
I'm getting a lots of feedback saying that not much is improved in PC2, I'm not so enthusiastic about this. Maybe as a eye candy but that's about it. You can't beat iRacing with physics and that's what simmers will look for.
I just wanna know what I can tune. I want to build a REAL DRIFT CAR. I want to control everything like my Ackerman angle. Forza is ALMOST perfect.
Assetto it perfect choice with thousands mod.. Now race department have over ten thousand mod just for assetto corsa.. From car to track.. Drift to rally
Keyboard and controller controls still sucks. They didn't fix it, in fact they made it even worse.
FIRST thing to know is that developer IS AFRAID to show any official CONSOLE gold build footage!!! Game went gold weeks ago - but ZERO gold build ON CONSOLE produced material! Beware...
Phaedrus Socrates Watch ACGs review to see the crap that game is on consoles.
This video would be very good if i hadnt bought the game a year ago
First project cars was broken and unplayable for the first 6 months and then it was crap . Asseto corsa was broken and unplayable for first 6 months and that were crap . Hope PC2 is better
Kevin Harris I think your space bar is broken.
Choose One For 2017
🐯 Forza Motorsport 7
🐮 Gran Turismo Sport
🦁 Project Cars 2
🦁
🐯 Arcade Racing and 🦁 Sim Racing
Chameleon Agario same
iRacing / Asseto Corsa
Chameleon Agario Why not buy more than one?
Just because you buy one game it doesn't exclude you from getting other games.
I played the fist Project Cars when they offered it free with Xbox gold. It comes out 26 days after Forza 7 and if it looks good I will probably get PC2 and Forza 7.
6:27 That shot on the Daytona Track (I believe) reminds me of Gran Turismo 5 as that one shot alone makes the visuals look like a PS3 game
Induced Rhino438 Daytona? Lol. Other than that, i agree
Texas Motor Speedway*. Sorry, that was my bad
No problem
Bought the first one. Had many pros but the cons kept me from enjoying it entirely. Sorry, but I will not be buying this one. Wish they'd make another NFS Shift since slightly mad know how to add good damage and mistakes made by AI so it felt more real, but still arcade like.
Adam Hanneman. yes the shift series was when they did it right
Need for speed? What is an arcade player doing on a sim game review?
Can you customize your car? Also, is there helmet cam?
Can't wait! I hope I get my fuelling right in this one! My face when I have ran out of fuel on three separate occasions while in the lead 😩 That said, it's one of the reasons that makes this game so great; it's not easy. Before I buy it for XBox One, I wait for sime reviews of the controller gameplay - which was the main drawback of PC #1... Turbo engine Formula cars were impossible to drive esp. in rain...
The only thing that really disappoints me is that there aren't any credits like in other racing games.
I hope the realism is ten times better than drive club, and all these racers ain't ramming you in a race
I know one you get hit up the arse you go off the track and you receive a drive through penalty etc
Why did I NEED to know there's lots of tracks? ...was expecting more meaningful content. Still a cool vid.
All the options are great and promising but it all will amount to nothing if the handling is subpar.
Cant wait for P Cars 3
Games never live up to the hype ill wait for reviews.
There is NOTHING You NEED To Know Before You Buy... Just buy it!
That is a pretty stupid way of approaching anything in life.
ArchaicMuse Say that to my wife...
Never played a SIM game. Is project cars 2 a good place to start for people like me who haven't played a SIM game?
AwesomeAQ8013 it s an enjoyable simcade
AwesomeAQ8013 Depends, do you have a wheel? If not, then I'd stick with something like Forza or GT.
Games like AC, PC2, rFactor, or iRacing should be played with a wheel.
This game taught me how to really drive. I highly recommend racing on the California highway map. One of the coolest things ever
Ugh, another commercial.
All you NEED to know about ProjectCars 2 is that the dev's abandoned the first game in a broken state, with a terrible AI in order to make it. How consumer friendly.
Give it three months, they'll announce ProjectCars 3 and abandon this one too.
Nordschleife in winter in VR yeahh bought
There is no better racing game than the one YOU LIKE the most. Stop arguing about likes and preferences, its pointless.
Gt sport is a SUPER BIG COMPETITOR
This is gonna suffer the same fate of shift series, people falled for hype just once.
I purchased Project Cars on Steam & felt completely ripped off, 2 months after the game release, "Slightly mad studios" purposely cut Most of the tracks/ special cars & forced players to buy them in expensive DLC packs. wedgoku lol, ate your words bitch
It is actually going to have 196 cars
Just bring the physics up to Assetto Corsa level and I will buy it.
IM FROM THE FUTURE, FIRST DAY OF PLAYING AND ITS HELLA HARD HELPPPPP
Is "disappointment" one of those features? Crew 1 had it thus far, hoping for true sequel to that.
Bartosz Skorupa The Crew is overrated. Can you make a better game than this?
The game sure did its job but where is the Ferrari FXXK
P cars one had 120 cars after dlc stuff i think.
forza and gran turismo are not simulation games, they are more arcade racers than simulators
Free on xbox right now if you have gold!
The demo is so good, i need to go to gamestop
Does it have splitscreen? Much more fun to race with friends who are actually around
Will You have to buy vars ingame? Thankful for answers:)
Martin Urby No, all cars are unlocked right from the start, so you can play with every car in de game!
Late response, i know.
SnapQueen okay Thanks for answer. I think i Will wait for the Crew 2 then😁
Martin Urby Yeah, can't wait for The Crew 2.
So fking hypedd!
SnapQueen Yea the crew 1 or whatever to call It felt so incomplete:(

#0 you can make everything everywhere
I already bought it 2minutes ago but now I'm curious
you forgot to mention all the cars are rehashed crap from old games and most likely still old unfinished place holder physics . your just reading from a slightly mad studios press release .
Playing multiplayer *not online* are you able to choose everything, cars, tracks, ... for free or do you have to buy them to play against AI or a friend?
Actually i like drive in city rather than track
as a racing game fan this has no chance to do well this year, FM7 clearly has 2017 on lock down, I guess it'll out sell gtport tho
GT Sport is far superior to Forza 🤦🏻♂️😂 you clown. Forza is very average at best.
Aren't racing simulators like super hard to play???
Xavier Mathews that's why I don't buy them I like more arcady racing games.
Xavier Mathews I'm getting need for speed not this one or gran Turismo.
Xavier Mathews They definitely are, but if you
1.) Make the effort to learn them deeply
2.) Use a steering Wheel

Sometimes you choose the game. Sometimes the game makes you choose a car that makes you choose a different game.
Do they have a rewind feature on this game?
Can project cars play multiplayer, not online, but with a friend in the room 😁
Thank you. Thump up!
I love Gran Turismo! Is this better than that?
I love some of the so-called "features". Example: "Authenticity... that doesn't mean a slower game pace... racing in this game is going to be fast". Can I play this decent with a gamepad? I hated pc1 with a controller
12K triple monitor support ???! I wonder how much $$ you gotta pour into that set up !! I'm barely on 4K !!
Does this game have bugatti or not? Probably i spell that wrong
There's actually 180 cars.
Does this game need ps+ or not and if it doesn't need ps+ what can you do with the game without having ps+ thanks!
I want to know if i have to adjust the ai slider to match even on rainy races.
New crash physics?
Never arrived too early....!
What about using gaming wheels?
Can you customize cars? body work? or just decals?
Just liveries and fine tuning not upgrades like in Forza, or NFS
Wait till they announce project cars 3 a month after release and abandon pcars2 forever like they did with pcars1.
Default lol
is there a campaign this time around?
