Be nice to create the newer versions of these games to allow us if we want to switch to Arcady / Simulation mode, if we chose to play Arcade mode style for quicker gameplay finishes or Simulation mode style for more endurance gameplay. (BUT!) in order to do that it's like shifting to another Parallel world gameplay style, with different tracks, no pitstops or custom car settings, tire pressure settings, Car Slides / Spinouts.
the developers have said that this would be more fun = arcade and spiritual successor to NFS Shift since 2018. the game was meant to be like this from the very beginning of development.
i honestly love project cars 3. its like a modern nfs shift so if u enjoyed shift, get this game. you will enjoy if you are into progressive racing games which you start from the bottom, win races to get money, upgrade and buy cars, race in tracks which need cornering skills, unlike other brainless racing games which you just need speed lol, just grinding your way up. do not get the game if you are more into collecting alot of cars, get alot of bonus cars for free and without really working hard for it (ahem forza), sandbox racing, go from point a to point b without mastering any corners. there are no drift, one vs one, street races or arcade type of races here. but at the same time theres no pit stop in this game. no racing lines featured as well, they have a different approach. you can adjust the ai difficulty and also race settings which will impact your xp. very different from pc2 and i would understand why alot of people hate this game because of the drastic change. races arent long as they only have about 2-5 laps or like an 8 min sprint. i consider this as a semi hardcore sim since the endurance part is not there. for pc and xbox users it can be an alternative to gt sport as the second choice. sorry but i really dont like forza games especially when you easily can get a mclaren after finishing 1-2 races :D
I get hardcore sim fans are definitely disappointed by this, but tbh hearing they got acquired by Codemasters and that it's more accessible/arcade? I love it, can't wait to give it a try now.
maybe im still stick with the PC2 and ACC if i want the sim type of racing. thought the developers will just improve the physics and add some customization in game for PC3 but nahh.

Project cars 3 is another game I need a demo for before I decide to buy. With the PS5 coming out there is less dollars for games that are not polished or feel bad to play. A PS4 game at this point should be a great and polished game.
I think if they can offer a good arcade version of an ACC or a Gran Tursimo Sport for non PlayStation owners is a good route for them. I may pick it up for the PC as forza is broken on PC
Looks fun. Simple racing. I appreciate accessible racing games. It's not like every car affectionate wants a hardcore iRacing-like experience, specially on consoles.
André Schelgshorn Thing is, on console, there’s already a ton of choice for this type of game. But on console this was the ONLY multi class decently authentic handling sim. And console players already decided they wanted more than Grid offers. Here is SMS basically rehashing Grid again, when they had the console serious sim market dominated. Time will tell, I guess, but I wouldn’t count on this pile of poo saving SMS’s bacon... Been there done that don’t win you new players.
@@1RolandG70 That is so untrue. The only choice is pCARS 2.. and it lacks a careeer mode. Forza and GT Sport dont even come close to the handling of pCARS 2. I dont understand why all people oversee this simple truth. Even though it has less features.. if they are implemented better it leads to a better game. Besides that.. i know way to many people who don't race in the wet because its to hatd or they are to lazy for Pitstops. I see many races in more extreme conditiins in pCARS 3. Can't wait to play it.
Peter Bernhard I could care less about career mode. There isn’t an AI made anywhere that even remotely emulates how real drivers race. I never could understand how players want more and more accurate graphics, physics, tire models and handling, then sit back content to play them against robots that don’t defend, don’t race each other cleanly much, don’t use strategy on fuel and tire stops, basically just run round the track as mobile obstacles. Even well respected sims allow the driver to gain probably ten places or so the first few corners until they have sorted themselves out from two wide racing. To have to endure a whole career of that bullsh*t would drive me mental! Talk about immersion breaking! Career Mode is for people that want an easy win. Me, I want a PROPER challenge, and only real people offer that.
Raul Other than GranTurismo (which you can’t really call arcade any more now it has pits and tires and fuel and no gonzo career path), what casual games on console don’t you have access to on PC? You got Heat, you got Horizons, you got Grid (which this game looks so similar to, it’s scary), you got Wreckfest, you got them all... Why you need one more, especially at the cost of every console player losing their ONLY choice for a full featured sim? Greedy, much?! LOL
@@1RolandG70 If you don't like racing AI. That is fine. It is not that i like it more to Race AI or so.. but i liked the Career modes of Forza, GT and the Shift Series. As i am only playing rFactor 2 right now this will hopefully be some kind of fun. You should try the AI in rF2. I think they do kind of well in most situations, here is a Video: ua-cam.com/video/qEpST7_N6LI/v-deo.html For what is on consoles and what not.. I meant the more realistic Simulations. There is Automobilista 2, rFactor 2, iRacing and Raceroom Racing Experience on PC. I think we should argue a little bit about what is "arcade" and what is "simulation". Becuase there are many aspects defining this. For me the handling and FFB comes first. In my humble opinion nothing is as good as rFactor 2 in that department. But with the right track&car combo and some tweaked FFB pCARS 2 had a fun & immersive feeling. Forza on the other hand has one of the worst FFB and Car handling i can think of... i play a lot with GT3 and GTE Cars.. what works in sims like AC, R3E, rFactor 2 and so on does not work at all in Forza.. they oversteer far too much for GT3 Cars.. on Road Cars this is fun.. but on racing cars... i guess GT Sports is not far off from what i saw and heard. So even though they may have pit stops, fuel usage and tyre wear... if the core stuff.. the handling is far off.. i would not call them a simulation. pC3 left this part out.. but as i can tell out of many videos.. it did not loose the core handling mechanics of pC2... what i heard it is a bit more stable now.. in pC2 some cars were good.. others not that good.. now all cars seem to be good.. but some lost there unique "touch". So for me.. something like NFS Most Wanted or the Crew is an arcade title. Forza, Shift, the F1 Series and GT Sports are what i call "Simcade". Trying to be realistic but failing :D AC, ACC, pCARS 2, R3E, Dirt Rally and iRacing are "Simulations". Mostly good but still failing in some core mechanics. (the list is discussable :D, many would kill me for putting ACC here and not in the hardcore zone.. but i dont like it at all :D) rFactor 2 and AMS 2 are the most realistic "hardcore Simulations" i know of. They are still failing in some regards.. but the core mechanics are there. For me.. without playing it.. pCARS 3 is something different.. in some parts Simulations.. in others Arcade.. but as i also put Shift to Simcade.. and it is the spiritual Successor.. i would see it there.
So you can speed up time progression and have wet/dry cycles over a 24h period, but you can't make a pitstop when your tyres wear out or you need wets?
Was disheartened to hear the once “hardcore” sim Project Cars franchise was being dumbed down to appeal to arcade racing fans. Then heard Codemasters acquired Slightly Mad and ... ah, it all makes sense now. This video was very helpful in that I’ve decided this won’t be in my game library until it’s deeply discounted. Which, considering this is basically a tarted up Codemasters release now, will happen rather quickly if their last couple games are any indication. As someone else stated in an earlier comment, another sim bites the dust. On the bright side maybe Turn 10 will lose some fans to this game and then start listening to the fans actually paying their salaries.
@RpM_Evan Slightly Mad made a pretty bad Fast and Furious game. Personally I also don't understand it. They have a good physics system which can be turned into a good arcade game (which they probably did for Project Cars 3), so I don't get it why they didn't use it, but made a crappy arcade handling system instead.
People say the NASCAR games are racing sims too which they are not...everything has a little bit of Arcadeness in it...if you want Hardcore sim racing you have to go to IRacing or some crap like that...
Honestly this is like a mobile game called Fake Racing 3, no pitstop, defy the laws of physics, and the UI menu is also like a generic mobile racing game..
sounds like they finally made a racing game that is focusing on fun. looking forward to actually drive without sliding all over the place, like driving on hot butter, every 2 seconds, which was not realistic at all.
You have to get used to the handling first, you can’t just jump into a certain car and expect it to handle well, you have make sure you’ve tuned it right, are using the right compound and are making sure the tyres are warm
I feel this new Project Cars game is a cross between Need for Shift and Forza Horzon rather than a true sim racing game which is what a project cars game should be the fact that also you can't make pit stops is a no no especially if you have damage or it starts to rain i think a lot of Project Cars fans will steer clear of this game
@@iammomo590 It lost its progression, its shifted from progressing through cars, to just "buy em all" and they just made it too easy to progress. Okay so I get this shit to simcade but no pitstops is just something I can not comprehend. When I watch a race in real life usually some of the best racing comes from either a good pit stop or not. Even if the pitstops aren’t realistic, there should atleast be an attempt at having one
Can't they just make no pit stops an option.... They could have easily added the arcade, modding, and collecting aspects without throwing away the sim aspects. I was counting on being 1 step closer to proper multi-class endurance racing and/or more than 30-35 cars on track. Pcars was also more readily complete over the other options Pcars3 ends that and will drive more people over to rfactor, asseto, and r3e
I'm all in with the arcadey NFS Shift like game, however they naming the game Project Cars 3 is a bad call. The PC franchise is something else entirely different.
They just kept the underlying model. I'm sure that the temperature of the tracks has also an effect. However it is an arcade game and therefore I wouldn't expect too much of a noticable influence.
To each their own and power to you, but I don't see what the problem is with them shifting to an 'arcade' racer in Project Cars 3 rather than the sim based racers we're used to. We've got enough of those in Gran Turismo, Forza and the like. Why can't we just have a game that is, oh I don't know, fun, rather than nitpicking about little things like 'oh this isn't a true sim racer'?

@@ThePandafriend Yeah I totally get that, it's not good for fans of the series and honestly I would think it was another sim if it were not for the angry fans haha.
Regardless I have been waiting for a more arcade racer with a proper career (buying and upgrading cars etc) similar to old Gran Turismos, this looks to be in line with that.
the studio that develops Project Cars has all the opportunity to capitalize on all of us that have left the Forza Motorsport franchise with an abundance of features that Forza lacks... and now they've gone and screwed the pooch. Sad to say I wont be buying PC3. Catch ya on iRacing.
Reviews a game and doesn’t know how to pronounce the car names. Just reading from a script and has no idea.
No pit stops and no tear wear is enough for me to not buy it.

I absolutely LOVED NFS Shift 2 and always wanted a follow up! If this is the "spiritual successor" I'm already excited! Wanna learn more about customization though
Yeah man me too everybody is bitching and complaining about there is no pit stop and no tire wear
@@joshuaburris9075 I'm pretty sure I turned those features off anyway even in NFS Shift 2 as I dumped some hours into that game and don't remember having to do it all that often if at all
Finally a safe corner
@@sneakysnake7695 lol right, people get so easily sucked into other negativity... I like the idea of a game similar to one of my favorite racing games NFS Shift 2...ift they do this one right I'm be playing it for dozens of hours too lol!
Is there any reason why these type of videos repeat footage? It's 8 minutes long surely you can get or make 8 minutes of footage
Bruh you had three years sms THREE YEARS
Exactly!!! And judging by the community, they know what we want. And gave us the opposite.
the developers have said that this would be more fun = arcade and spiritual successor to NFS Shift since 2018. the game was meant to be like this from the very beginning of development.
sooo... i bought the game and now this apears in my recomended, very nice
Just bought deluxe edition😎
@chris ortiz Not everyone can buy a wheel it's going to be a good arcade racing game after wreckfest, grid and forza horizon 4
I just hope in career mode we can change the length of the races, would love to be able to do some proper endurance races
i honestly love project cars 3. its like a modern nfs shift so if u enjoyed shift, get this game. you will enjoy if you are into progressive racing games which you start from the bottom, win races to get money, upgrade and buy cars, race in tracks which need cornering skills, unlike other brainless racing games which you just need speed lol, just grinding your way up. do not get the game if you are more into collecting alot of cars, get alot of bonus cars for free and without really working hard for it (ahem forza), sandbox racing, go from point a to point b without mastering any corners. there are no drift, one vs one, street races or arcade type of races here. but at the same time theres no pit stop in this game. no racing lines featured as well, they have a different approach. you can adjust the ai difficulty and also race settings which will impact your xp. very different from pc2 and i would understand why alot of people hate this game because of the drastic change. races arent long as they only have about 2-5 laps or like an 8 min sprint. i consider this as a semi hardcore sim since the endurance part is not there. for pc and xbox users it can be an alternative to gt sport as the second choice. sorry but i really dont like forza games especially when you easily can get a mclaren after finishing 1-2 races :D
I get hardcore sim fans are definitely disappointed by this, but tbh hearing they got acquired by Codemasters and that it's more accessible/arcade? I love it, can't wait to give it a try now.
If this is a 'hard-core racing sim' then im the Pope...
maybe im still stick with the PC2 and ACC if i want the sim type of racing. thought the developers will just improve the physics and add some customization in game for PC3 but nahh.
Thanks for this very informative video. I spent many hours playing Shift & Shift 2 Unleashed, so I'm really looking forward to this game!
And you are not gonna enjoy this , thanks me later
@@shaonking1521 I already did and I'm enjoying it. There are flaws, just like any other game, but I grew up with games like this. The driving feel is so much more engaging on a gamepad than PC2.
@@toryrobinson8904 wow I see !!! Then I am gonna download it ,,, btw can u tell me Doe's this support windows 8.1 ? Any idea ?
@@shaonking1521 Sorry, I don't know. I have version 10 and the PC3 Steam page says "specific versions of 7"
I hope it has helmet cam in vr like automobilista does, very immersive
Project cars 3 is another game I need a demo for before I decide to buy. With the PS5 coming out there is less dollars for games that are not polished or feel bad to play. A PS4 game at this point should be a great and polished game.
I'm looking forward to this.
Big fan of this for sure.
LOL
@@1RolandG70
If you don't like racing AI. That is fine.
It is not that i like it more to Race AI or so.. but i liked the Career modes of Forza, GT and the Shift Series. As i am only playing rFactor 2 right now this will hopefully be some kind of fun. You should try the AI in rF2. I think they do kind of well in most situations, here is a Video: ua-cam.com/video/qEpST7_N6LI/v-deo.html
For what is on consoles and what not..
Trying to be realistic but failing :D
AC, ACC, pCARS 2, R3E, Dirt Rally and iRacing are "Simulations". Mostly good but still failing in some core mechanics. (the list is discussable :D, many would kill me for putting ACC here and not in the hardcore zone.. but i dont like it at all :D)
rFactor 2 and AMS 2 are the most realistic "hardcore Simulations" i know of. They are still failing in some regards.. but the core mechanics are there.
For me.. without playing it.. pCARS 3 is something different.. in some parts Simulations.. in others Arcade.. but as i also put Shift to Simcade.. and it is the spiritual Successor.. i would see it there.
Is the clutch implementation still crippled like it was in 2 with you being able to shift without actually needing to press it down?
are the strips still made of ice?
Does it have free roam?
Is there going to be a free roam like in project cars two where you can just drive around the map or is it basically a whole new/different concept
I'm. Still gonna buy it even though its not like what I want...
Agreed!
What? If its not what u want so why you want to buy it? Its stupid.
Is it only me who think this game reminds me of driveclub? 🤔
I still don't understand why fast and furious crossroad??
@RpM_Evan Slightly Mad made a pretty bad Fast and Furious game. Personally I also don't understand it. They have a good physics system which can be turned into a good arcade game (which they probably did for Project Cars 3), so I don't get it why they didn't use it, but made a crappy arcade handling system instead.
So is it better to buy project cars 3 or should I buy project cars 2?? Pls answer🙏
they should name their game Project CAR.
because CARS is Community Aided Racing Simulation.
How about a name like project Dummies sounds good 👍
It also isn't community assisted. So "Project Racing" or simply a completely new name would have been a better choice.
“A hardcore racing sim” please stop ...
Lol he lost me there. That line should have been a joke but I think he was completely serious. Probably shilling on behalf of SMS
@Raul yes, that would be me...I just want to jump in and have fun.
they're suppose to add split screen like some sim racing games
I feel this new Project Cars game is a cross between Need for Shift and Forza Horzon rather than a true sim racing game which is what a project cars game should be the fact that also you can't make pit stops is a no no especially if you have damage or it starts to rain i think a lot of Project Cars fans will steer clear of this game
really got enough of these games now, another forza another boring game.
at least Forza is much worse from what I'm seeing.
@@SolidGreenDay And what have you been seeing? pray tell
@@vixenishbug5522 absolutely correct
@@iammomo590 It lost its progression, its shifted from progressing through cars, to just "buy em all" and they just made it too easy to progress. When I played forza 7, i literally got 1mil CR in like 1-2 hours and felt like theres not much to the game if they are going to make me go through the game like that, then I tried forza horizon 4 and they give you a starter car that is better than many other shitty cars which is stupid, that just makes the shitty cars useless, but no, the game is about collecting cars and not about progression which is what I remember playing in forza motorsport 3 that had progression from shitty cars to good cars and it wasnt easy, but not hard. Im not saying difficulty as in easy/hard races, but as in you get too much money on the newer ones, while back then they give you less.
@@SolidGreenDay yeah FM7 sucks worst Forza game tbh at least FH4 is a bitbenjoyable but the best Forza Motorsport games are 2,3 and 4 you could also include 6 as those games have great physics inc. tyre wear and fuel depletion and u also have endurance races in those games and even pit stops
So its No more SIM and gonna be more Arcady. That's not a Good Idea.
Is VR not available when using a wheel on the PC? If so it is a game changer.
the trailer seems to suggest highway tracks, similar to PC2 California and Azure highways. Can anyone confirm we're still getting something similar in PC3?
I''ll stay with Project CARS 2
There is no open-world correct? Some of the maps look wide-open enough to be an open-world but I don't see any reference to it :(
Will there be custom races with training and quali?
No qualifying has been confirmed.
@@JCTiggs1 Ok, thank you for this information! No quali no buy!
@@talocan1986 I should add that this was mentioned in the latest UA-camr preview videos for the Career Mode. They will be added as DLC (even though the tracks are already finished). 🙄
Why no pit stops: so you can focus on the racing
Why no tyre wear: so you can focus on the racing
Why no simulation : so you can focus on the racing
It's a bit like forza and not project cars?: so you can focus on the racing
So project cars is dead?: so you can focus on the racing

@@matarosie7170 true that. Next year Mario karts rebranded as project cars 4.
PC always had the best camera views and camera customization
I hope this doesn’t sell well at all. Maybe they should remove human drivers to make the racing even better
It’s actually frustrating to know they will make some money off this...pathetic to even call it the next instalment haha
Okay so I get this shit to simcade but no pitstops is just something I can not comprehend. When I watch a race in real life usually some of the best racing comes from either a good pit stop or not. Even if the pitstops aren’t realistic, there should atleast be an attempt at having one
Do you have to unlock every car or can you just drive them
No pit stops with dynamic weather yeah congrats you've killed the series
Thanks for making me save $60 for a disgrace to the Project Cars name.
OMG the death of the glorious Project Car series 😭
Which game has better physics pc2 or pc3?
Great arcade racer, dont need to buy wheel, pedals, racing seat ,gloves or shoes.just need a controller to have some fun !
Don't want Project Cars 3 overshadowing their F1 Simulation game... SMH... Slightly Mad Sellouts!
Hope they add pit stops in future updates
I'm all in with the arcadey NFS Shift like game, however they naming the game Project Cars 3 is a bad call.
The PC franchise is something else entirely different.
No 4K Support on Xbox ONE X, PS5 and Xbox Series X???
Tyre temperatures being dynamic is interesting......
They just kept the underlying model. I'm sure that the temperature of the tracks has also an effect. However it is an arcade game and therefore I wouldn't expect too much of a noticable influence.
you can see al tracks and cars on project cars 3 website
So is it possible to play this on windows 7?
So many racing games in 2020
Soo, Codemasters takes over and ruins the game... Gotcha!!
how?
They provided funding, what you want to see a studio go under or something? Yeah fuck those devs because they never made what I wanted
I should a known, once codemasters get it forget it ! I walked away from forza because PC was more of what I wanted and now we get this 😞oh well saved myself some cash and I’ve still got plenty of life in PC and PC 2 let’s hope the new BTCC game comes out without disappointing
So what can be done with online racing as far as pits and tyres are concerned.?
so fucking hype, nfs shitf is one of my favorite games from my childhood
Looking forward to it!

Hmm... I think the game still needs a pit stop, at least in future updates if possible as an option on higher level lobbies. It looks good otherwise.
