My Oakley assaults have held up great on my weekly grocery runs. Can grip the frozen pizza with no problems and the knuckles are good for fending off people trying to take my free samples. 11/10

I’ve had both the outdoor research and the Mechanix mpacts and loved them both. It was easier to do fine manipulations with the ORs but the mechanix offered more protection. Once the Mechanix are soaked in sweat and form to your hand, they work even better before the seams decide to bust. If you’re military, both work great in the field or on the range.
I'm starting to believe all of the mechanix rip at the bottom seam of the glove, no matter which they are, I mean can be fixed but yeah..glad I'm not the only one to notice this

Ive been using Ironclad exo operator impacts for years and i love them. Very well made and reliable. Im going through 2nd pair right now and 1st one served me 2 years.
I originally bought a pair of Mechanix FastFits as an airsoft glove, and they very quickly became universal gloves; I've used them for driving gloves, work gloves, outdoors gloves, etc... Basically, if there was any mischief that required the use of my hands, the FastFits were my go-to choice. I've even used them as light cold-weather gloves during the fall and spring.
All of these gloves seem to be suited for dry and warm places. From my own experience gloves need to be able to keep your hands dry for a whole day. When i was training in the Finnish Marine our excersises and patrol missions could last for 3-10 days out in the forest and coastline, none of those gloves would have kept my hands dry. Most of those gloves would be soaking wet after the first time I hit the ground for cover because of moss. In my own experience i find real leather palm gloves or sealskins to be really good. Leather gloves also dont get as worn quickly, all my other gloves worn out quickly on the tip of the index finger because of the stiff and sharp safety on the RK62
One of my old team leaders used to wear latex gloves underneath his issued gloves. His hands sweat like crazy, but they never got cold/wet from the weather.
I'm with you! I was a mountaineer in Alaska before joining the military and eventually being a mountain warfare instructor. But for the last 20 years most of the US's fighting has been in very hot mostly dry places.
Swan Ronson have you ever tried latex under your gloves to help stay warm like CJ Lange mentioned? I think I’m with you on this one. It sounds completely counterintuitive compared to everything I’ve learned growing up about surviving in cold weather while hunting big game out west. That said, I also do a lot of cold water scuba diving where my hands will be wet yet warm under my neoprene gloves so I do understand the point CJ Lange is making... to each his own I guess!
Yes, dutch army used to have excellent full leather gloves that were waterproof and would keep you warm until -5C or so. Still enough dexterity to shoot a diemaco, tough enough to last a lifetime
My work has started carrying IronClad brand gloves and they have a line made for shooting. I am wondering how these might hold up I comparison. I might be able to get a couple pairs as samples if you are interested in testing them.
Mechanix MPact served me well. I love the reinforcements and pads on the palm, because of that feature I was able to have a pretty good grip when I moved to my new home 2 years ago. No matters how heavy or odd where you put your hands to lift stuff, my hands always feels comfy.
Got a pair of wileyXs hard knuckle gloves because you mentioned them. Got bit in the hand by a dog while wearing them and they did get punctured, I needed no stitches and the polymer knuckle absolutely saved me. The dog basically crushed my index finger and put a few holes in my plam, but if I didn't have that polymer knuckle protection I can only imagine how badly my knuckles would've gotten torn up. The gloves sucked at heat resistance and at like $90 they're not cheap but I'm so glad you mentioned them. Thanks for saving my hand dude!

For suppressors I use a glove that is loose fitting that I can slip on over my usual (OR Ironsight) glove. That way you only need one and you can slip it on. Just be sure to get one that's a size or 2 larger so itll fit over your daily shooting glove. Just my two cents
I loved the Camelbak gloves that I was issued, they lasted a long time even working in them all day everyday, and they fit me perfectly. I still have a few sets floating around.
Oakley Assaults lasted about 2 months into the deployment without tearing. Ive had 3 pairs and ALWAYS tear out on the thumb/fore finger seam Ran MULTIPLE pairs of the WyleyX hardknuckles/removable. Great all around glove, good cut, with thicker leather you trade durability f/dexterity solid choice. Found an old pair of Blackhawk S.O.L.A.G. gloves still in the package while going through some old boxes and decided what the hell. Been great, pretty sturdy, paded knuckle is nice. I like the wrist support you get with the double velcro. Im a fan. Best feeling gloves Ive ever owned were Hatch Kevlar Shooter’s gloves from about 12yrs ago. 5.11 Taclite 2. Favorite gloves to date. 350-400 hours of long gun Picatinny rail use before holes developed. Could remove a suppressor quickly in a pinch but not recommend as a habit. Still thin enough to use touch screen and perform body searches. Breathable and comfortable enough for all day wear without having to take them off (20+ hours). Worked as an SOF instructor 5+ years.
I wear the Mechanix fastfits. I'm a Navy Aircraft Mechanic/Marksmanship instructor, same glove serves both jobs well. They are sensitive enough that I dont absolutely hate loading 9mm mags while wearing them. I think they have gotten better after covering them in axle grease.
I was a huge fan of mechanix because of how fast I can wear and take the gloves off. I was a medic in the Army, and during field exercises, I had to switch between latex gloves and tactical gloves back and forth quiet often.
I would like to add a couple of suggestions. The Atlas # 370 gloves ( Amazon ) are great gloves. They are thin, fit tightly and have neoprene coated palms and the bottom of the fingers. The back is a stretchy knit material. I use them at work for some electrical protection from accidental wire contact. The gloves provide unparalleled gripping ability, really. They are not heat resistant or flame proof however they do a great job of protecting the hands. Another option are cut resistant occupational gloves. ( WW Grainger ) A stretchy light weight knit glove that fits tight with a rubbery gripping surface. Great for protection from wood and metal splinters, sharp metal edges like sheet metal, thorns ETC. I ware them a lot. Once again they are not heat resistant.
The Pigs are amazing. They are the best pair of gloves for CQB type environments. I still haven’t broken through a pair and can’t even count how many rounds I’ve sent downrange with them on.
Come on Mike....do I have to get another restraining order to get you to stop looking in my windows again?? The Dr said the Nutella is good for my skin and nods are for my glaucoma.....
I’m 6’ 7” and have XXL hands, picked up the Mechanix Fast Fits from Lowes for $12 and they felt like slippers for my hands but did hard work well until they wore out 3 months later. Basically a steal deal for the gloves.
I had two different pairs of Oakley Pilot. Winter and Hot weather. The hot weather(being MOSTLY leather) is very form fitting and breathes well. I love them, i use them for almost everything being that i have to pairs. One for work as a contractor(shooting, searching etc.) and one for riding motorcycles and now that pair is being used for some labor work. I got dragged by my bike recently and the glove suffered minimal damage. Very sturdy and robust, i swear by them. The winter....i used them in my time in The Marine Corps, they served me well BUT dont put them in a washer/dryer. Especially if you wore them the fuck out..they will disintegrate.
I was in need of some new gloves and revisited this vid. Just received the PIG’s and they feel & fit awesome. I will say that I ordered a size smaller than usual based on the sizing chart provided (on the Amazon listing). They’re snug but fit well and as intended. Thanks for the recommendation 🤘🏻
I have a pair of leather Hatch gloves with a thin kevlar lining that is probably 15 years old now. I deployed with them, trained with them, jumped with them, etc. The dexterity is about 4/5 (after breaking them it) but the durability and overall value is the best I've seen. Note: I kept them away from bodily fluids and petrol but thats a given for any glove you want to keep.
"While you're operating with you anime pillow" Hey man, just becuase you're an operator with guns doesn't mean I can't operate with my Dustiness Ford Lalatina body pillow okay?

I never looked back after I bought a pair of PIG FDT Alpha gloves. They are by far my favorite, with hard use they only last a few months but the dexterity and thinness is insane. Just like the delta's you can pick up change off a flat surface, but I feel like the FDT Alpha's are a little more durable. Highly recommend trying them out.
I'm built like a battle gnome and have an extremely hard time finding gloves to fit my baby hands. Goddamn tactical companies catering to only 6 ft tall cool guys.
Those PIG gloves are very slim fitting specifically the FDT Alpha's that I've tried, I guarantee they would fit your hands. Unless you've already tried them, then fuck me right? lol
CamelBak Impact CT Gloves size SM. Loved these so much I bought another pair an prob going to get more- inexpensive on eBay. See my new comment at the top.
I bought a pair of Viktos Wartorn gloves, and was able to handle a pistol with ease right off the bat. . . . the down side is the knuckle guard prevents hands going down tight fitting pockets. The price is very affordable
I interchange between the Mechanix Impact3 I think it's called. Large rubber padded knuckles. Surprisingly good for shooting handguns too. I tend to get down on all fours. And often find myself reaching towards things to stop when in motion and they work wonderful. They have very good dexterity and they've lasted me a VERY VERY long time. Only thing I wish they had was FR properties at least the fingers. I've had burning stuff melt into my fingers. Very painful indeed. Shooting range gloves Mechanix Specialty 0.5mm are my go to. So much dexterity I can feel everything.
The loops on the gloves are usually to use to pull them on so you don't pull on the seams when putting them on. Though you can use them to hang them. To convert gloves to touch screen gloves; find some stainless steel thread (do an internet search it's out there) put on your glove and find exactly what part of your finger and thumb you touch the screen with, often on the thumb it is the side. Then turn the glove inside out (remembering where the "spot" has moved to) and make several stitches through that spot to make a small pad, you will not need much. It is better to leave a little "tail" of thread inside to make more contact with your digits. Touch screens rely on grounding and the tails will give more surface to ground your skin to the pads. Works on motorcycle gloves too. The rubber pads? If you like them and yours have worn off try smearing some silicone sealer into the spot to renew them, keep it thin. The sealant comes in black and maybe brown too. Look for the small tubes not the big caulking gun size. Between uses keep the tube in the freezer and it will store for a long time. When you want to use it drop the tube in a small bowl of rather hot water and wait untill the water is at room temperature and you are probably good to go. In aviation it is called RTV which stands for room temperature vulcanizing.
I did a whole weekend at hunting camp doing wood cutting stacking spitting chainsawing in these gloves and other than them getting wet with sweat and rain and then changing a slight bit of Contour they held up exceptionally very impressed and for the money I would buy them a hundred times
First of all, thank you for your service, man. I’m super pumped that I found your channel. It’s informative, and pretty damn entertaining (7:44) haha Seriously, it’s a breath of fresh air to see product reviews and comparisons done by professionals such as yourself that really seem to know their stuff and have actually worn through the products they are reviewing instead of just giving a bunch of lip service like the average UA-cam Joe Shmoe. Keep up the great content and stay safe out there!
I buy Voodoo Nomex flight gloves. Cheap, durable, and thin enough for me to shoot any firearm with. 1 pair lasted me 2 years and still going strong with just a tiny frayed opening at the index finger tip.
Where can I get multicam nitrile gloves? I need some of that Gucci for when i'm elbow deep in a junkie who got his shit blown open on his epic quest for the eternal fix.
My favorite gloves are the Blackhawk Hellstorm (or Fury) Nomex, non-hard knuckle. Bought them day one in the infantry, and have lasted over five years. Handles everything from AR manipulation, to transitions, to barrel changes.
I got the mechanix fastfit gloves now, and they have been updated the gloves to have leather in the palm of your hand, so you can now touch a used suppressor.
I wear the Mechanix Tempest fire resistant gloves. They work for Industrial tasks on the ship for which they’re worn almost daily and at the range. They are leather/nomex and fit relatively tight so reaching pockets is not an issue. They typically cost $50.
I'm pretty sure the touch screen capability is meant for civy shooters, or military guys hiding in a back corner on tinder. I don't know about the US but all of our mil gear in Canada that has touch screens seem to be resistive (detects based on pressure) as opposed to capacitive (detects based on electron transfer). Meaning it doesn't matter what you wear or what you choose to hit the screen with.
Camelback Impact CT have been my go to for 10 years now. I love the fit and grip, and they breathe well. They are also more durable than the cheaper mechanix or the more expensive oakley gloves I've used. I hope Camelback never stops making these.

I use Mechanix MC Original gloves to stop THOTs from getting to my anime love pillow.

What is the THOT meme on this channel? I just found it and haven't figured it out.

What’s nice that after 4 years since this video uploaded these gloves are still relevant!
I personally wear the SKD PIG Bravo gloves... also they are the best fitting gloves for my hands that I've ever worn.
OkamiJigoku13 PIG gloves are awesome I've got a few pairs of the gen1 alpha touch i love em but i need to upgrade to the new ones
I've never worn other hands. How does that feel?
I was a huge fan of mechanix because of how fast I can wear and take the gloves off. I was a medic in the Army, and during field exercises, I had to switch between latex gloves and tactical gloves back and forth quiet often.
I go Ace Ventura and plug plantains on my digits, enhanced length for those tough to reach spots.
As a 47 crew member required to wear the nomex flight gloves, I blow through them in about 3 cargo flights. I think I've used 10-15 pairs this tour
I crew Ospreys. I finally found some nomex gloves that last. OutDoor Research firemark sensor
The Pigs are amazing. They are the best pair of gloves for CQB type environments. I still haven’t broken through a pair and can’t even count how many rounds I’ve sent downrange with them on.
"If you have ever caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror while you're butt naked covered in nutella and wearing nvgs ...."
Lmfao. While singing "Rape Me" by nirvana.
That's oddly very specific...
Come on Mike....do I have to get another restraining order to get you to stop looking in my windows again?? The Dr said the Nutella is good for my skin and nods are for my glaucoma.....

Went from Mechanix Original to the Mechanix Vent.
Used them in the Military and still have them today. For me, they feel so natural.
I just use a Cabela's pair - they work well-enough when opening the fridge and stuff.
I’m 6’ 7” and have XXL hands, picked up the Mechanix Fast Fits from Lowes for $12 and they felt like slippers for my hands but did hard work well until they wore out 3 months later. Basically a steal deal for the gloves.
Why did you join the Air Force instead of becoming a hand model?
Because in the Air Force you can do both 😏
@@Richardjohnson6969 i would like it but its at 69 so
I had two different pairs of Oakley Pilot.
Got my aliexpress ACU tactical gloves and they're great for typing stuff while watching videos about gloves.
Comes in handy to be uncercumcised.... on emergency situations i can use my excess forskin as tactical gloves
nawfside713gsta I keep extra mags and my Leatherman in mine
Pepe I use mine as a dump pouch.
Just watch that you don't catch your finger in a Mogen Clamp (Oy).
that's just flat out nasty, get it snipped...At least for hygiene purposes...Yes it matters.
@@Faith-Ministries For people who arent borderline retarded it's easy to keep clean.
You quickly became my favorite channel. Your videos are awesome, love the topics and info you present. Preciate it homie
Good work here as always. Clear and organized. Love it.
Yeah, but how do these gloves do when drenched in hot wax and crisco? Asking for a friend.
nathan sheffield Just so you know VS won't take returns if the product has wax dried on it

Pedro Ruiz you too huh?! Lol
Ras Al Ghul bro, that’s so USMC!! Lol
SBRMarksman daily stretches bro. do them!
Those PIG gloves are very slim fitting specifically the FDT Alpha's that I've tried, I guarantee they would fit your hands. Unless you've already tried them, then fuck me right? lol
But only buff 6ft guys. I'm 6'4'' and the worlds skinniest motherfucker, I can't find ANYTHING that fits me well
CamelBak Impact CT Gloves size SM. Loved these so much I bought another pair an prob going to get more- inexpensive on eBay. See my new comment at the top.
Damn how you're channel has changed over the years. Kind of wish you'd throw some of these gear reviews back into the mix
Garand Thumb - "...operating with your anime pillow."
what? It's my money I do what I want with it!
I bought a pair of Viktos Wartorn gloves, and was able to handle a pistol with ease right off the bat. . . . the down side is the knuckle guard prevents hands going down tight fitting pockets. The price is very affordable
Dabbin for the E4s. 😂😂😂 crush it
I interchange between the Mechanix Impact3 I think it's called.
I'm keen for a new video on this
The loops on the gloves are usually to use to pull them on so you don't pull on the seams when putting them on.
Still waiting for the update video boss
I did a whole weekend at hunting camp doing wood cutting stacking spitting chainsawing in these gloves and other than them getting wet with sweat and rain and then changing a slight bit of Contour they held up exceptionally very impressed and for the money I would buy them a hundred times
By the way my mistake these are the mechanic gloves
I got some woodland Mechanix gloves so I can blend in the background when ambushing anime body pillows
I buy mechanix fastfit woodland, and the feedback is very good. I can do almost everything with the gloves. For the price is perfect.
First of all, thank you for your service, man.
I’m super pumped that I found your channel. It’s informative, and pretty damn entertaining (7:44) haha
Seriously, it’s a breath of fresh air to see product reviews and comparisons done by professionals such as yourself that really seem to know their stuff and have actually worn through the products they are reviewing instead of just giving a bunch of lip service like the average UA-cam Joe Shmoe.
Just spray paint them, bro. 👍
On my foregrip hand I use an oven mitt to reduce heat from the barrel. I use a blue Miller welding glove for to keep my trigger finger operational.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw that Hi Power.
RubioNegroZaravia Made me do a sex wee.
Correct. BFTs work on pressure.
Camelback Impact CT have been my go to for 10 years now. I love the fit and grip, and they breathe well. They are also more durable than the cheaper mechanix or the more expensive oakley gloves I've used. I hope Camelback never stops making these.
My mistake. This was my first trip to the comments section of a GT video. I now realize that he's not kidding about how depraved you guys are. I didn't mean to leave a serious comment in this cesspool. I'll leave you all to your waifus not you fucking degenerate weebs. I think I'll have to visit the comments more often.
