I started wearing g shocks back in the early 80's. I lost one at the end of summer canoeing. The next year we were in the same area and one of the alarms I had set went off. I found it and put another band on it. I figured if it made it through the Alaskan winter it was good enough. That same watch served me well through my diving and pile driving until about 2000 when I replaced the beat up turd. I found it again a few years back in a bolt can, still kicking. I might see if I can find that thing to see if it still works.
@@phabeondominguez5971 I need to find those watches. I think they were some of the first ones. I think I got my first one in 1982. That one had five alarms, a light, and countdown/elapsed time. @@LIONTAMER3D Using the gun as a tool to assist in shoving an assailant back in a close quarters fight. Been using a ratchet belt from Mission Belt for about 2 years now and other than some finish rubbing off the buckle it has been amazing. Strong enough to hold a large handgun, holster, and 2 mags in a pouch for competitions and super easy to adjust. 1/4in adjustments give me tons of room to find the perfect readjustment after that double meat burrito too.
Regarding watches I prefer to always have an analog face or a combination face as analog hands can act as a compass. If you can determine the sun's direction hold your watch level with the hour hand pointed at the sun. The 12 (or 1 during DST) will point south (or North in the southern hemisphere). It's more complicated close to the equator and, of course, it won't work if your watch is too far off actual local time but it's better than no compass at all.
People are always amazed by my EDC. I look total grey man, never would take another glance at me in a room but on me daily is everything you discussed, plus another mag, a lanyard with another knife with titan cord wrapped handle, multiple fire starting tools such as a ferrocium rod, a fresnal lense, even my pen is a tactical pen with glass break you can use as a weapon, and it all fits even in summer basketball shorts with limited pockets.
On the note of sog knives. I bought a sog machete about five years ago to put on my camping gear kit. Took it out once, tried to use it to chop a 2 inch piece of dry willow (a fairly soft wood), and the wood shattered chunks out of the machete blade. One of the worst temper jobs I've ever seen. Never bought another sog blade since. I currently swear by benchmade. I've put my benchmade folder through several years of oilfield hell and its held up brilliantly. Love your vids. Keep up the good work, semper fi.
Nice to see every once in a while. It is not very often these days that one sees a Gentleman aware of, let alone mention, a form of etiquette. I appreciate the comments concerning a fine watch vs a phone from a shooter such as yourself. Congratulations; well done. Plus one for you as a Gentleman ............ and your nomination Sir.
This dude is great, and talk about being prepared. I carry my Walther PPS and one extra mag because it fits in my pocket. Can’t imagine a knife, medical supplies, special pants, a light etc...I guess when you’re as well trained as this guy is you’re used to it.

charge pipe popped off while on the hi-way. Left my tools at home that day. Leatherman saved the day for me. Dude... took a minute but i was able to get the pipe back on the coupler and tighten the clamp enough to drive out of boost issue-free. LEATHERMAN FOR THE WIN.
If ... you load your carry mags while wearing some type of glove so you don’t leave prints behind on your spent shells at the scene of the shooting ... go ahead and hit that like button.
When you are building your edc loadout, build it for your personal needs. Carry what you will use often, and for your self defense, carry what you will most likely need in a self defense scenario. Also consider this golden rule - Don’t use anything that will ruin your EVERYDAY carry just to have a tiny advantage on the day you hope never comes. Some examples: As cool as multi tools are, I PERSONALLY never need one, so I just carry my knife. I don’t carry a med kit but I seriously need to bc bleeding will kill, and being able to save a life is just as important as being able to take one. Lastly, I carry water, a hat, a rain jacket, the list goes on and I use all of it so I carry a backpack. If you only have a gun, a phone, and your keys, however, you have zero need for a backpack (not considering the growing want for armor)
I live in NY, so mine varies a bit, depending upon where I'm going. The old standbys are Timex Expedition digital watch, Gerber folder, streamlight single AAA pocket light, basic med kit (israeli, quickclot, CAT, gloves in a vacuum seal pouch), pepper spray, gerber multi.
I love the Wave! A friend gave me one years ago and I've worn it ever since. It was my first EDC besides a cell phone. I love my G Shock! I got the non shiny screws so it wouldn't reflect or have holes in it. On the outside of the arm it's like having a very small buckler strapped.
Charlie Aydin correction... your even keel with everyone who OBEYS THE LAW there. Difference for me is my country allows law abiding citizens to be on even keel with those who illegally carry weapons also. How do single women who suffer disparity of force protect themselves in the down under?!?
@@guy9146 this is true. I guess culturally, we have a different outlook. We are a mostly peaceful nation. Gun related violence and even violence and crime in generally are fairly low. It's not something we commonly consider. I would love to be able to carry though.
Charlie Aydin you’re nation is also mostly ethnically & culturally homogeneous. This itself leads to a more peaceful place as people tend to agree with each other. Unfortunately the diversity that makes America great also leads to much more violence.
Light can create standoff distance and allow the weapon to cycle. Pressing end of barrel and slide against the attacker can push the semi auto OUT OF BATTERY. So carry how you want to carry. Great vid.
Adding to the conversation about lighting: In the words of my county sheriff when asked about the light on his pistol, "I like to be able to see what I'm shooting at". Simple enough idea. Also there's the line of thinking to have multiple forms of light for regular use (edc light, cellphone, keychain light etc) and keep the weapon light saved for ONLY that purpose so the batteries will be ready to go full-up for when you deploy your pistol. That being said, if you carry a pistol its great to understand how to use a separate light and firearm at the same time, as often threats come at night regardless of if you are a member of the "weapon light on a 'full' size EDC pistol" cult. Awareness at night is a huge issue to start with, but also you need light to move safely, identify any threats, and if necessary to return fire. Just my $.02 on the light debate, everyone has to make this fit their personal use.
Yeah it is, go buy a Seiko or. Citizen and be done with it if you don't want a Rolex. Keep that Vincero on your dresser in case someone breaks in. They might do you a favor and steal it.

Citizen watches are absolutely amazing have had mine for over 4 years. It been through 6,000 cubic yards of concrete placements for missile pads, to foxholes, to just looking good in a nice dress shirt cant recommend enough
GT, it was weird watching this video 2+ years later and realizing what you were talking about when you filmed this.... from a former Army 11B(that self DQ'd out of SEREI in late '03) that was at R91, its very true that having at least some medical equipment is very important! As far as medical training people need to learn about Tourniquets and Improvised Tourniquets! I ended up even utilizing a belt I bought earlier that day from one of the vendors there.
My dude, the one thing that you said that stuck with me is, "Always have a leatherman." Been in construction/ Factory work the majority of my life and i edc a Leatherman Surge every day.
I use the blades on my Leatherman a lot. the serrated blade for banding tape and cordage. the straight blade for unwrapping plastic wrap on packages and on food items. Rarely do i come across for the need of a 5-6 inch bladed knife. I like microtech folders!
A nice watch was one of the first things I bought when I started my first 'proper' job. Traser H3 P6508 Code Blue which has lasted me 11 years and only needed servicing twice so far for a new face and battery each time. Also have FIYTA automatic actions which I got at trade price or as a 30th present from the distributor - love the crocodile leather look. 😎⌚🐊
During the winter months, I add a compact Mylar blanket to my EDC. It's smaller than an empty wallet and better for nothing if I get stuck away from home. I walk 15miles to work every day, so getting stuck in the weather is always a concern of mine. Severe bleeding can also affect one's natural temperature regulation. In some cases, keeping the injured person warm can help prevent shock.
In the U.K. EDC is limited, I carry a picture of a knife, my keys, my phone and a picture of a glock 19 (pixelated of course) and 3 pictures of extended mags. This may still be ILLEGAL

I was too busy doing a “someone’s going to hop in” count lol

2:25 I FEEL BETRAYED! THERE ARE NO PANTALONES!
Was just going to comment this.....
I was already a fan of your channel! But now I know you’re also a watch guy, now I’m a member for life!
If your wife wants you to dress in 5.11 jeans, wear a belt from alonso defense, flannel shirts & wants to pretend your name is Mike of Garand Thumb Fame on date-night, go ahead and hit that subscribe button.
I love how he doesn’t edit out him laughing at his jokes...
charge pipe popped off while on the hi-way.
Heat burns off the mositure, only way is if you had a malfunction and cleared unfired round.
Some examples:
As cool as multi tools are, I PERSONALLY never need one, so I just carry my knife.
"I have my dad's... uhh... I mean Haley Strategic sights on there." Had me rolling on the floor.
I have a 2001 Tundra. 140,000 miles. I’ve driven it for almost 20 years now. Reliable truck.
If you’re worried about wearing cloths that scream “I’m carrying a concealed firearm” then open carry that way you don’t have to worry
"Get the ladies for those of you who are single."
"Even though you probably won't."
Ha! Heh.........*cries*
I'm a watch guy..... recommends Vincero :D
Lmao Sad!
Freaking love that you're talking about being socially savvy with a watch! You're the dad most guys don't have.
I love the Wave! A friend gave me one years ago and I've worn it ever since. It was my first EDC besides a cell phone. I love my G Shock! I got the non shiny screws so it wouldn't reflect or have holes in it. On the outside of the arm it's like having a very small buckler strapped.
If you live in Australia and can't even carry a sharp edged pen, hit that subscribe button
Charlie Aydin you should carry some self defense paper to cut people with. That’s what I’d do.
@@guy9146 the beauty of it is, is that were on even keel with everyone. So fist fights are fair, fun and interesting here 😅
Charlie Aydin correction... your even keel with everyone who OBEYS THE LAW there.
Unfortunately the diversity that makes America great also leads to much more violence.
buuff you killed me with the vincero if you like watches you wouldn't buy those
Yep. I got Seiko snk 793 automatic for 85 bucks. Vincero is 120 and more in my country
Waiting last minute to pack only to realize your battle buddy is a under cover Blue Falcon who took your wet weather gear.. good times
Vincero watches? Those things are absolute garbage
Yeah it is, go buy a Seiko or. Citizen and be done with it if you don't want a Rolex. Keep that Vincero on your dresser in case someone breaks in. They might do you a favor and steal it.
@@yorkshire3939 would you steal that crap? Plus if you were robbing garand thumb you would be to weighed down with ifac packs and tournequettes to carry much else
My Squire carries all my EDC. But I wear my sword everywhere- I’m not that lazy....
If you ride on your squire's back YOU can become part of HIS EDC.
good setup
+Mrgunsngear Channel thanks boss!
Garand Thumb , Thanks for your perspective-honest and refreshing!
But low key slurpy kiss you slid in at the end... lol
Newly subscribed 👍.. Great job.
I want to also give a shout out to Mrgunsngear, out of all the gun channels I see your name pop up in support of other channels... Very cool sir 👍
The put downs man. Im tellin ya. The only reason i watch this guy. I mean guns are neat, but the put downs...absolutely lethal
Citizen watches are absolutely amazing have had mine for over 4 years. It been through 6,000 cubic yards of concrete placements for missile pads, to foxholes, to just looking good in a nice dress shirt cant recommend enough
Yes on Citizen
Can u do a vid about medical supplies and what you use in you medical kits/IFAKS
Whatever your medic packed for you :/
You need to sell a flannel dude.
A G i would love to buy a flannel guy...
A G 👦 gt has his own emogi!
MIKE U.S.N. lol XD
LMAO!
I hope so
GT, it was weird watching this video 2+ years later and realizing what you were talking about when you filmed this.... from a former Army 11B(that self DQ'd out of SEREI in late '03) that was at R91, its very true that having at least some medical equipment is very important! As far as medical training people need to learn about Tourniquets and Improvised Tourniquets! I ended up even utilizing a belt I bought earlier that day from one of the vendors there.
GShock DW5600 is probably the best and most iconic model from the GShock series. I have a blacked out one on a black nato strap and it looks bonkers
I'm a Black Lives Matter Progressive from Seattle but I like this channel. Keep up the good work.
My favorite was always practicing packing at the last second: it makes actually packing at the last second easier ;)
I'm all ready supporting 5 kids that I don't see why would I support you!!
+me first I feel you bruh, I too cannot pullout

Gabriel Küsel when you’re too operator to be specific in convos
Wonder if his watch has been covered in semen🤔

My dude, the one thing that you said that stuck with me is, "Always have a leatherman." Been in construction/ Factory work the majority of my life and i edc a Leatherman Surge every day.
I use the blades on my Leatherman a lot. the serrated blade for banding tape and cordage. the straight blade for unwrapping plastic wrap on packages and on food items. Rarely do i come across for the need of a 5-6 inch bladed knife. I like microtech folders!
Kimber 1911 Classic Custom in a Safariland pancake slip over holster. Seiko Jade Monster watch. Knife is a Kershaw Leek. Blicka!
When he said its kinda like a kids show, I figured it out...he's the tactical blues clues guy.
Good shit.
Thanks.
Could you do placement layout of where, & which pocket your EDC (all items) resides, in & on your pant.
I also have the G Shock 9052 in black and gold and it is by far the most bulletproof of the G Shock models!!
I got a G-shock and it has gone through two years of military service and is still going after ten years. They are built like a TANK!
The wave needle nose pliers are good for yanking out nose hairs.
I use the scissors!
Love the Trasers.
Literally pooping as this came up in my notifications.
Remmy Mills, I'm pooping now.
I got 7 different G-Shock and I love them my favorite is the mudmaster highly recommend it
