Imagine that. A majority of us players hated the open world sections of 5 and TC think making it fully open world will be a success. Are they actually that naive? Like to a point they're gonna kill whatever soul was left of the series
I believe with the collection and gears 6 the franchise will be back full force and soul like the good old days

All these new players that weren't around back in the day are mainly the ones want g this open world bullshit. Gears ain't that type of game. I agree with you. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, but TC are broke it by adding the semi open world into 5 and now they're gonna break it even more because they're fucking idiots that don't know what made the franchise great

I love all 8 games.
Steam Deck finally made it 100 percent possible to play Gears 5.. It is able to bypass the easy anti cheat.. So far I love it. No lags no freezes or glitches. My only complaint is that by this game being around 3 years old. We can no longer get the skins for Batista, Sara Conner, The T-800. Damn I'm so disappointed. 😢

iDon't see a new Gears having the same impact that Gears 1 & 2 once had in the past.
I heard Gow 2&3 (Master Chief)remastered will be out 4th quarter of 2024 to hopefully revamp the franchise. Then Gears 6 on the 4th quarter(November)of 2025... 🤞

I forgot I posted that 2 months ago. Hopefully this will be confirmed this at the Xbox Awards on December 7th. I believe it will be, also have a link to hopefully confirm this..... Either way very excited cause I love the gears franchise, been a long time coming.

It needs to be dark and gritty again.
Just because graphics get better doesn’t mean everything has to be bright and colorful.
I would prob be playing gears 5 but no one plays it so its hard to get games, multiplayer needs to be a commercial success to revive the franchise
They need to get rid of the open world concept for this game series as in my opinion, it's not needed. The original first 3 was great and well done. It was a clear cut story and it was great to play that I can always play and never get tired of playing it. They should of never gave a choice of who to save in Gears 5 and make everyone question on which one is correct due to not being what this game is all about, a clear cut story instead of making choices. What they should do is go back and watch other videos of people talking about the older games and look at what made them great. I love this franchise and one of the biggest reason I have an Xbox.

Open world campaign just sounds miserable, I couldnt even be bothered to finish gears 5 campaign, I probably wouldn’t even touch the campaign if it’s open world again

Now that we know that the updated console coming 2024 and the totally new console coming 2028 I can link their release year with the next gow game .. a remaster gow would probably be the one we see 2024
Gears of war is not suppose to be a freaking open world game neither is halo, this is exactly what is killing both franchises.
Believe it or not but gears 5 had 3.5 million players in it's opening weekend. And with decent scores from critics it did good and that in the xbox one era with just 40 million consoles sold

@@TheGearsCollector I am a big gears fan but they have taken away the horror aspect and the facing off against a ton of locust aspect the only times where it actually felt like gears was the missions where you play as JD and the last mission when you are fighting off the invasion, everything else is driving a kite around listening to the characters talk about nothing.

I don't mind open world for Gears of War 6, if and this us a big if. Go back to the executions system that Gears of War 2 Had. I thought Gears of War 5 was good. I don't mind the campaign at all. It was new and fresh. If I can create my own Gear in the open world Gears 6 that would be cool. But ultimately if they bring back Marcus and main protagonist that's always cool too. I love Gears so much as a whole that I'm going to playthrough Gears of War 6 anyways. Never hurts to bring Cliffy B. BACK!

I think its time to stop leaning so heavily into the cover based shooting mechanic. Controllers are now a lot better than they were in 2000s.
So if not cover bases shooting than what, do you have a solution? Or maybe an upgrade to the cover based shooting to make it more modern?

Removing wall bounce and sliding would make the pvp so boring. Definitely not a good option to remove that.
Honestly, one of the biggest problems of this franchise is its fanbase. ALL I ever hear is whining, moaning and crying over the fact that there is not enough tEsToStErOnE in recent establishments and you want the original atmosphere.

It's so nice to find a reasonable gears fan, I actually really like the direction this series is going, Everything feels like a natural progression of the world and themes. Plus it's just shocking how consistently good these games are.
