Gears 6 Story Campaign Why I Saved JD Fenix Character for the Gears 6 Story Canon Choice!
Welcome back to another Gears 6 Video! Today we are going to be discussing the Gears 6 campaign story as we speculate about the Gears 6 story campaign canon choice based apon the Gears 5 campaign story canon choice between the characters JD Fenix or Del Walker & whether Gears 5 JD Fenix canon choice or Gears 5 Del Walker canon choice is the final Gears 5 canon choice death ending going into the next Gears game. This includes sharing my personal reasons for why I saved JD Fenix character for my Gears 6 Story Canon Choice & how it effects the Gears 6 story campaign narrative moving forward!

I saved JD too. He finally felt like a real character in Gears 5 instead of Marcus’s boring Chris Pratt looking son. He made mistakes, had regrets and was always in his father’s shadow but through fighting the Swarm and coming to terms with his failures he was finally ready to be a true leader. He’s too important to die for nothing, this isn’t The Walking Dead.
JD deserves better because he must continue the Fenix bloodline! If he does not appear in Gears 6 like Price Dying in MWIII, We Riot like the Cod Community!

Gears is the Fenix family story. Starting with Adam, told through Marcus, and then JD. Also, I care enough about Marcus not to let his last family die and JD has more story to tell than Del
Choosing Del leaves Marcus with basically nothing left besides his friendship with Cole and Baird. It basically means an end to the Fenix story when Marcus is finally done, and there is honestly way more to do story wise with JD going forward over Del. Del was a loyal friend in the game, but JD needs his redemption, more development as a character and would have a greater impact on the story and all of those things start at the end of the game. To cut all of it short with his death would not make sense just like you said. Too much potential and meaning for the future story wasted if JD doesn’t live, and I feel that it would also take away from Marcus story as the Fenix name would be further removed from the leading role and the family Marcus ensured the survival of at the end of Gears 3 is basically taken from him.
Saving JD was clearly the true choice because the interaction with Marcus and the other characters just plays through with logic. Plus, Del was purposely paired up with Kait on her trek to create a bond with the player.
Im thinking that the pick the one to save was a hidden voting thing notifying tc which one goes on to game 6.

When this section of the game happened I was wondering why I couldn't throw the knife at the queen. It just really made the whole scene a little silly to me.
Well i always figured that JD losing Del is like when Marcus lost Dom, so it's like he understood why his Dad is the way he is.
JD should be the one to live, its good character development and it begins to fix the rift between him and his dad.
Whoever chose del to survive isn’t a real gears fan. Gotta save Marcus from all this pain 😢
Yeah Marcus has lost everything his wife his dad even his friends But There is no way in hell he's gonna lose his son Because he is the last remaining phoenix in the bloodline.

My reason is simple del dies because while hes a great guy hes got no story, jd has the redemption arc still to go and it at least is a story all we know about del is he's jd's best friend
I saved JD. I just could not bring myself to facing Marcus afterwards. I would feel terrible to tell his dad what happened. He deserves a good ending.
Well, if you ask me. No matter who you saved, it tells me one thing about Gears 6. It better pull off what Wolfentsien; The New Order & New Colossus did.
Having a separate "Timeline" for each character you saved for the sake of continuity of the story line, based on the player's decision. But have one story line actually be canon, and the other a "What If" scenario.
I know I picked JD cause Marcus lost too many people especially in his family so therefore I don't want Marcus to lose his son
JD. Pretty much exactly what you said and for other great reasons, that many people have said in the comments. Loved to hear everyone's opinions on this topic such a great one to discuss.
JD 1000%. His story line is way deeper.
I choose JD because for one he's Marcus's only son and family; he pretty much lost his dad, Dom, and his wife. Second reason is even though he made a mistake, but obviously he does regret what he did (even though he had his reason) and wanted to redeem himself for his friends. And third well... this might be a stretch but it's pretty clear that he and kait are set up to be well close bond.
What i mean for that is, obviously JD and Kait are cloae friends and losing their del would only bring them closer. Now how it'll be executed in gears of war 6 guess we'll see.
Overall i hope its JD because of those 2 reasons, the 3rd is just a possibility.
I Chose to Save JD Because Marcus Already Suffered So Much
Good on you Marcus he doesn't want anymore suffering in his life he lost his wife his dad his buddies He will not lose his boy.
Another amazing video. I choose JD 1 because I liked him more then del 2 JD deserves a second chance 3 Dels story was complete pretty much we still have more to see from JD. And 4. Because I'm excited for more dynamic for JD and fahz.
Marcus has suffered enough but of they kill JD, then itd be cool to see the rampage Marcus would unleash...
great video man, but it would've nice to get a recap of what happened to Del's body because I just remember him falling into the ground and JD and Kait running away but they somehow still end up with his COG tags. Queeny might reanimate his body or something wild and then it also would add more to Kait because ultimately, it was "her" choice story wise
If you look closely you can see kait take the cog tags right before he falls through the ground
@@Swh-xb1hn the thing that is kinda funny/not funny, is that no matter the choice, when Marcus asks what happens to so and so, the male always turns away and Kait has to tell Marcus. I think that little bit says a million words about how even tho Del or JD are obviously happy to be alive, they still blame Kait in moment and they're basically saying "it was your fault he died, you tell him"
@thetorvic23 I still think at the same time tho, they are both still distraught over the other dying, i feel like they both understand that one of them was going to die and kait couldnt really help it. I think the funniest part is that kait didnt just throw the knife in reynas face😭

I chose JD because he had more of a emotional impact than Del because with del dying no one was affected as much
I'd like to see them go the Wolfenstein route for Gears 6. Where you can select which one you saved in Gears 5. The two timelines could be further reason why development has taken more time for Gears 6 than usual.
As cool as this would be and I would love to see it, nah. TC just had the wheels fall off and they're trying to get it all going again. Hope to eat my words soon enough tho!

Why I saved JD, I cant put Marcus through any more grief, first his dad, then Ben (its clear in Gears 3 he grew to regret Anthony and Bens death), then Dom, then his dad again, and then finally Anya. I cant do it to him, let him find peace.
Saved JD here, Marcus has already lost too much, also James was starting to get on his "redempion arc" thing and i would like to see how It plays out

I get y people say killing JD ends the Fénix but he’s a terrible character so it don’t really matter what his last name is. Del has been loyal to Kait the entire time and without him she would’ve either died or joined her mother

I think there should be 2 alternative camping a lot of people don't like JD and rather del I know I do but it will be better don't need to kill of the only black friend that kate has all the carmines dying let one black guy live God dammit 🙄🙄🙄

So apparently JD is an Epic character and not Coalition. Apparently they want us to hate JD for we can accept Kait as the protagonist. In short I believe they are trying to scrap JD as he wasn’t their vision/creation. I really wouldn’t be surprised if Del is the survivor, but if they really want to avoid fan backlash that already is very strong they would make JD canon.
That or do what wolfenstein the new order did to have a separate timeline for a "what if" white that would take time but it's sorta a safe ground.
But if del is the canon choice, I'll be disappointed.
I woudn't be surprised if TC will choose Del. Not because he is good character but only because he is black.
No that wouldn't make sense. Also because you said that, I really don't want that to be the reason. We want a good story, not feel sorry for us because we have Cole and his family and they are black.
@@MetaITurtle The choice isn't mine or yours. It's very likely TC will do as I said earlier because of political correctness to please people who don't even play GoW. It's easier than making good story.

Definitely saved JD but I hate the story of these new games. I literally only want to play as Marcus with Cole and Baird. I really liked Hive Busters dlc because it was just a totally new cast and they can’t hurt my favorite characters.
I saved del because he was there for kait. Gears 5 is a life lesson about your friends. I know Marcus lost people and his son is the last person he needs but del is the definition of a true friend
yeah maybe people would care if del wasn't a shitty watered down baird, and if kait wasn't an insufferable bitch of a character
