Hi Julie. I stay for the endings always. You crack me up every time. This video is a year old - it’s funny I didn’t already view it. Have an amazing day. Stay cool. 😎
Hi JC! Thank you!! It matches the colors of the rug in the room nicely. What a fun piece to make. I'd love to do another, maybe with rainbows colors. Ooooohhhhh, I'll add that to the list! Keep creating!
Adore your videos! 😊 I'm a newbie and want to give this project a try. The 8" wooden saucer I bought has a height of .6 inches. What tile height should I buy to make it flush with the wooden lip?
Hello Julie! I'm a new subcriber and new to mosaic. I'm loving your videos and your sense of humor! I've been wanting to learn mosaics for a very long time. Knowing that I will need to purchase tools and tesserae, which of your projects would you recommend to get my feet wet without going broke? I can't wait to dive in.
Hi Kathi! Welcome to the world of mosaic! Thanks for your kind words about my videos.😊 A great, 'get your feet wet' project would be this one right here: ua-cam.com/video/4gWctRHFemg/v-deo.html. As with all of my videos, you'll find a list of everything you need to get started in the description below the video. It's a step-by-step tutorial. There are also additional videos on my channel on how to use mosaic hand tools. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥
Hi Diane! Great to hear you're enjoying my videos. Thanks for watching! I prefer to use paper towels for clean off for a few reasons. It tends to 'smear' the grout less, and also I consider the substrate. For instance if I'm cleaning off grout from a wood substrate I don't want to add more water to the equation since there's already so much moisture in the grout. And yes, I do prep wood substrates but why add more moisture when there are other 'drier' options. From time to time I'll use a damp sponge on larger substrates. Keep creating and I'm glad you're here!🙌
Wow seems to be a shame to cover it with a plant or such. I'd make it a hanger instead or just a candle base. Either way it's gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Time Enuf! Awwww, thanks for your kind words. I like how it turned out too. I thought the same as you after I tiled it...but I put a small plant on it so you can still see the detail. I also have a small votive on it as well. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥

Gorgeous! Great color choice. ❤️

Lovely.
Thanks so much Suzannah! The sky's the limit regarding the design. You can go bright, neutral, dark.....just have fun!
How! So cool!
Thanks Big Guy! Your support means everything!

Julie, you are the BEST! Do you have a source for the tiles you used? or at least something similar? I can't find in my searches
Hi Julie, why use a dry paper towel instead of a damp sponge to remove grout? Love your videos!
