    I 100% agree with you! This bike is awesome! I do like the new restyle on the 300 too but I’m not a fan of the colors. Great video!

      Yea I'm not sure of the colors on the 300 yet, I definitely need to see them in person.

    I got the same one but green. Been loving it. Put new handle bars (renthal fat bar) and bigger sprocket on it… huge difference. Can get up to 80-83 mph now

    I own a klx230… the low fuel like comes on at 1 gal remaining… the reserve is about 1 gallon, i get about 120-30miles out of mine… you have roughly 50 miles till empty when the fuel light comes on.

    Fill the tank, ride it till empty and see what the range is. Before doing this, get 1 gallon water jug and fill it with gas.

      Yes. I remember reading a book on Patton, and that is how he used to determine the fuel range of his tanks. He didn’t trust what the manufacturers said in the manual.👍

    How do you find the seat? Is it uncomfortable? And what about for the passengers too?

    • @pitbikemike
      @pitbikemike  8 місяців тому +2

      The stock seat isnt the best as with pretty much all supermotos. But it is better than lets say an drz400sm. And for the passenger it is ok for short jaunts but not for prolonged travel

    Hey Mike appreciate the videos, but have a question. Is this a bike you'd feel comfortable taking on a sort road trip, like a 100 mile drive on it, spend the night, then drive back the next day? Thinking about one but wanna know how it would be on such trips. Thanks.

    • @pitbikemike
      @pitbikemike  4 місяці тому

      Tbh even though i love the bike it wouldn’t be my first choice. But It really depends on the type of roads you are driving on whether that would be comfortable/feasible or not. if you’re doing all highway no, since the bike is very light and doesn’t have a high top speed, 100 miles isn’t going to be fun. Now, if you’re doing mostly country roads or side roads that is doable.

    • @1122redbird
      @1122redbird 4 місяці тому

      Ok, thanks, definitely no interstate highways, but all secondary country highways up to the mountains. This is not a comfort cruiser by any means, but I just need to be able to take it for longer rides now and then. I would say 60-65 mph at most, I only weigh like 160 so think the power would be enough. The 2024 is supposed to have a more comfortable seat so waiting for those to arrive.@@pitbikemike

    • @pitbikemike
      @pitbikemike  4 місяці тому

      Yea if that’s the case than yea you will be good, and yea I saw they mentioned a nicer seat on the new model yr which I definitely wanna see. If it is nicer maybe I can try and swap it

    • @1122redbird
      @1122redbird 4 місяці тому

      @@pitbikemike Cool. How tall are you if you don't mind asking for reference? I think the bike would be comfortable enough but the new seat should definitely make it better. I saw a lot of people swap the seat for a seat concepts seat but I don't want the hassle of doing that so am waiting to see the new models, which I hope arrive this month.

    • @pitbikemike
      @pitbikemike  4 місяці тому

      I'm about 5'9 and the oem seat isn't bad, i've got almost 4k miles on mine and tbh even though I thought about going to a corbin seat it isn't worth the money to me at least.@@1122redbird

    Hi Mike been following your channel for a while I got the klx230 dual sport version, have it about 6 months now did you do the O2 delete when you when you did your exhaust

    • @pitbikemike
      @pitbikemike  10 місяців тому +1

      I didn’t do it right when I got the exhaust. I did it about a month or so after. My bike did fine without the o2 delete but I tried it just to see if it made a difference…. I’m still not 100% sure if it did but for the 35 dollars it cost for the Kawasakibrad o2 delete kit it I guess is good enough
