I agree with everything you said here. I've been riding since 1975, have had more bikes than I can count, and after I dropped my BMW and couldn't pick it up, it was time to downsize. I'm an everyday commuter in my city, and this bike has proven to be one of my best bike purchases ever, because I made a list of priorities and didn't budge from them. I started the process by making a deal on a KTM Duke 200, but at the last minute, the salesman cancelled the deal over email. No reason given. What?!?! Highly professional, my guy 😉👌 but, I digress ... So Search started again and I ended up at the KLX 230, blue, just like yours ... Great bike. It is absolutely perfect for what I do. I drove 65 miles to get it, because it was 4,499 with only tax and tags on top of that. Somewhere I forgot the joy of just being able to toss a motorcycle around like a BMX bike. It's a blast! And so light! I love it. Matching a bike to your specific needs is something everyone should try. I had a z400 in the interim, and just could not bond with it. Not sure why. Just boring and a nut-smasher too. I would pick this bike over that 400 again, also. Small bikes rock! The KTM salesman did me a favor in retrospect.☮️
Great video! I’ve been riding for 39 years and this is perfect for what I want to do. Sure, it’s not a rocket but it’s not slow either. I just want it for back country roads. It’s light and simple but has a modern look and feel. I always wanted upside down forks, rear disc and fuel injection in this type of package and nothing else offers that. The price was a huge bonus too! I’m very happy with mine and I’d recommend these to anyone wanting to have fun
I love my klx230 dual sport. Hard to imagine anything better for general exploring locally both on and off road. It’s small and nimble, sufficient power and capable pretty much everywhere locally.
hi,,,sorry ,,my english not very good....What is the 'max' speed that i can continiussly travel in 6th gear for 1 hour on summer to go for swimming (and keep this for 10 years) ?max (constatly) speed please? (i mean in lets say middle Plus a little RPM)?(nice video)

Bought one for my wife and she loves it, but even for me as a bigger guy I love riding this thing, so smooth and maneuverable

Nice, just realized you're local to me. Good luck on your search, I'm currently on a xsr700 (mt07) and love it.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a xsr700 around a couple times, I’ll makes sure to wave at the next one I see lol
Looks like a lot of cheap fun. Enjoy it.
It really is, Sounds crazy but sometimes I enjoy taking this out more often than my more expensive ktm 890

So it’ll do 75 mph max speed but continuously 65-70 mph is what I normally do.
@@pitbikemike Saddly we can not have them here in europe /greece...Anyway...Have a nice and safe trips!
Hey Mike would a person who is 6 feet tall be too tall for this bike?
Tbh I don’t think it would be to small. Benefit would be that you could flat foot it where as I am on my toes on it
@@pitbikemike Thanks man. I think it's a great bike. Very simple but offers a lot of fun. Especially for the price. Enjoy your vids.
