Reaction to gas pedal and it pulls abit harder at higher rpm/speed. Ill swop the spacer to the downstream to see if code goes away. My ipd full exhaust we had no issues with engine light maybe its more restrictive cat that ipd uses not sure.
Its hard to remove and install. Removing oem one is hardest park. The new one if the holes to turbo line up perfectly its not too horrible. But definetly will be hard for someone who never done it.
It can be challenging, definitely have someone there to help you. He gives a lot of good tips in this video. I took mine out by myself and would not recommend that.
oh man, I tried to remove my downpipe couple days ago but I couldn't reach the upper and the lower bolts close to the engine side by myself alone so I gave at the end. lol. I'm just curious about how you tightened those two bolts after you get the kt4 downpipe in.
The O2 Sensor Spacer should be on the rear O2 sensor not the front. The first sensor is used to measure Air Fuel Ratio and the second O2 Sensor is to make sure the Converter is working. You are getting inaccurate O2 readings with the spacer in the first o2 sensor.
So I am also getting the same check engine light after installing KT4 downpipe on my 2013 T5. I have a spacer for the down stream o2 sensor though. This was wmy first time messing with spacers so i really didnt know much about them

What kind of exhaust is on this car other than the kt4 down pipe...my car is totally stock and has no sound I hate it...the ipd exhaust kit doesnt seem loud enough to me, atleast in the videos it dosnt...but Id love to get my car sounding like yours??
I have kpax exhaust. Which is owned by elevate now. Search up elevate volvo i think its called gt exhaust on their website make sure you choose the exhaust for t6 engine.
Hey, I know this is an old thread but just wondering if you had to remove/loosen the angle gear to get the old downpipe out? I've seen conflicting information on whether this is necessary.
@@BuiltForSpeed Thank you for replying! I saw another video on replacing the downpipe on an XC60 and they took off the whole drain channel cowl in front of the windshield to gain access to the bolts but they couldn't figure out how to maneuver the old one out without removing the angle gear. Good to know that's not necessary.
Pardon me if I missed it, but are you running an aftermarket exhaust with the downpipe in this vid? Or is this just the downpipe with the factory exhaust?
Yes with kt4 we did because the high flow cat is small and the downpipe is 3.5inch but hilton tuned it out. As with the ipd one that we have on the blue one we didnt get no light because the cat is bigger and the cat diameter is 3inch.
@@BuiltForSpeed i will be buying the IPD one for my blue one. Was it any different from installing on your red one? Also did you notice a big difference?
