On year 3 of ownership of 2012 t6 R-design, other than suspension component replacement from enjoying the car too much, only major issues have been transmission leaks from cooler lines and constant strut tower mount replacement as this car loves to destroy them. There are some intermittent electrical problems with lack of media center audio output that can be fixed by cycling car off and on again. As well my backup camera despises hot days like yours and figits a bunch if left in the sun too long. However, all that changes when you take her to the snow where it will literally outperform every other car or truck, an animal in wintery conditions! Only car I have ever hit black ice in at speed, that spun out and straightened itself again, without making any collisions, only to continue driving like nothing happened less than a quarter mile later. Brilliant safety and power.
Awesome video! I have the 2012 s60 rd in black. I couldn’t stand the stock rims so I purchased the polestar rims like you were thinking about getting and I think it’s definitely worth it! The black rims and white body look awesome on yours for sure tho 🔥 right now I’m running the polestar tune with the tdi tuner box piggybacking on that along with the kpax exhaust and elevate air intake. This car stock was a beast since stock but now it’s pretty much my dream. Much love to Casper 👊

You also need to change your pcv oil trapper , it’s essential in these cars ! If you don’t do it you’ll be leaking oil from everywhere, specially if you have over 100 000 miles.
You should also change the PCV-hoses and clear out the returnpipe, they're often clogged. It's a simple and cheap fix, but most people don't care about it and end up with more expensive repairs, due to engine oil leaks.

I've owned some to me special cars like the 2003 Lincoln Town car, 2003 Grand Prix with the legendary 3.8L Chevy engine, 2003 Infiniti QX4, 2001 Lexus GS300(awesome car), 1992 Lexus LS400 and a 1986 Acura Integra. My favorite was the LS400.
To any potential buyers beware the inline fuses on the positive battery cable. One is before the starter and the other before the main fusebox. These can and will break, causing your car to 1.) act like the starter is dead, a lot of times the fuse blows due to an aging starter pulling too much current. Or 2.) kill all of the systems tied to the main fuse box, including the immobilizer. This caused my car to be bricked and undrivable for 2 weeks while I waited for the part. This has been the biggest headache I’ve had during my ownership. 115k and still going 🤞
you may be able to get one of the newer p3 steering wheels with paddles and install it. I did that on a 2015 v60 and it was plug and play, don't know about 2013 tho I would check on swedespeed.
I absolutely love the way these cars look with a facelift and don’t get me wrong the T6 engine i great performance wise and it sounds good but I can’t get over the way the old 5 cylinders sound and I love manual transmission’s. If they would’ve made a modern “s60r” with this generation having a 300+ hp 5 cylinder with a manual transmission I would’ve switched to this platform a long time ago. The t5 engine they came with had bad piston rings and a minuscule power output

Looks to me like the intake that cracked was 3D printed! You can see the layer lines when you zoom in- it would've cost only PENNIES for whoever sold it to make in that case, quite a shame though :( UV and heat aren't kind to 3d prints!
I wouldn’t call that a “cold” air intake. I’m sure it sounds cool, but it’s sucking in hot engine air. The factory box draws outside air from the grill. There’s a polestar cold air that’s functional but it’s stupid money.

I really dont want a mazda6 :( My current car is a SAABaru from 2005. Almost zero issues! Rubbers changed out and basic maintenance plus good cleaning internals once year.

Generally for all Volvo engines (except the Ford developed ones), they'll last forever as long as you maintain them. Most importantly change the timing belt, the PCV hoses, oil trap and clean out it's return pipe within service intervals. Obviously also do oil changes, filters and gearbox oil, everything is quite simple and cheap on Volvos. I had a first gen s80 t6 with 480 000km on it, the engine was running really good, but the gearbox broke (GM 4-Speed automatic)

check your vaccum pump seal, it often leaks and it can make its way all the way to to bottom of the car

Check the oil leak on the brake vacuum booster pump. It's common for 3.2 and your 3.0 T6. You need to replace the seals on the pump.

My friend has got an 2013 ocean race and he has also got the problem with the bluetooth connection. It is fixed on my a bit newer 2015 v60
