Abusers prey on people who are already used to being abused. A lot of kids come from bad homes and think this is normal. It's also balanced with love-bombing (ex: "You are so beautiful to me" feels really good when the abuser is mean to you 80% of the time).

I don't think he was joking. That sort of thing is a prime example of what a narcissist does, they have no feeling for anyone, and will take pleasure in their pain knowing that they are "better" for not experiencing it. It's actually horrific. I'm an empath and when I was a teenager, a was in a relationship with a guy who I didn't know was a narcissist. He would live off of the care and emotion I would give him without giving anything back, basically acting as an emotional draining mahine until I forced myself out of the situation. He would see me in pain, tell me that he will help me and that I need him. He would then laugh at me and hit me later for breaking down and he would constantly remind me that I was useless. Onision has always reminded me of him in so many ways.
Lets face it, Onision didn't like the game because the characters were 18-19 years old and not 16-17 years old.

I am on the fence with Life is Strange. The writing is a bit clunky and “alt” for me in the beginning, and I absolutely hate Chloe. Life is Strange 2 is much better.
Tbf it's not a great game, because the acting can get pretty cringe and the dialogue is awkward and somewhat unrealistic (big issue for a story based game). Onion boi doesn't like it because it has teenagers in it? He doesn't really provide a valid criticism of the game, and is then a dickhead about it. you're allowed to enjoy a game that is flawed same with movies and any other entertainment medium.

Probably cause abuse can be addicting when it's dealt out in certain ways and abuser know this and try their best to mistreat people as much as they can while keeping them around. They love bomb and then treat you like trash, then love bomb you again and pretend their mistreatment of you was deserved/you cause it or gas light you to think it didn't happen or wasn't that bad. It's a dark cycle that slowly speeds up in intensity the longer it goes on.

You hit the nail on the head -- abusers will make any argument that deflects from the core issue, which is always related to the abuser him/herself (their toxic behaviour, their weak excuses, etc) and onto the victim. The problem is when an individual is not mature enough to see that the arguments abusers make are grossly invalid, especially when compared to the real issue(s). Hence why many abusers prey on kids/teenagers/emotionally-stunted individuals. And even though these victims usually 'outgrow' the abuser, the damage has been done.

The idea of thinking one's personal opinion about the way someone looks is important enough to be a huge feature of their platform is narcissistic and honestly cruel. Rating bodies is an immature and insecure thing to do in the first place. I understand the point you're making, but making it using Onion as an example kind of makes your point weak, because you're, in a way, defending someone who is an obvious abuser, and thus your point is difficult to be taken seriously in that context. I understand truth is important, but again, wanting to make that point using an obviously manipulative and abusive strategy from Onion, i.e. rating people's bodies, is not the way to go about that. Also. Just because someone is being "honest" doesn't mean they EVER need to actually give their opinion, especially when their opinion is being stated to literally and purposely harm another person. There's a huge difference in being genuine and honest and preaching "honesty" to justify being a total duck. Onion is the latter, always.
