The equivilancy between cp and firearms doesn't add up. The act of creating cp inherently harms a child, while you can't say the same of manufacturing firearms. A firearm only harms a child if it's used to do so. For the logic to be consistent, you'd have to advocate for the restriction of camera ownership because they could be used to make cp.

Having gay people read to kids isn't a big deal because not all gay people look or act different from straight people, but drag queens _look_ different because of their clothes and are preforming gender nonconformity.
