Rats are highly intelligent...as is the reality of all life, they learn from this one experience. Thing is, there's no second chance with this trap. If they were let go, they'd undoubtedly go up the "ladder" and skirt around the edge to avoid the actual trap.
They come in my house they have to go. They belong outside but I have cats inside my house and outside my house I might see like a foot a tiny head outside. I just look and say do your job and I will continue to feed you.
