Y'all need to chill out. Coop literally states so many times that he loves Miami and he wants us to go undefeated every year. He's doing his job and analyzing and being honest with what he thinks will happen and honestly he's getting pretty good at it. Last year he was very close on 80% of the schedule and the score predictions were even pretty close. Stop questioning this mans loyalty when he made an entire YT channel dedicated to the Miami Hurricanes and keeping us up to date.
I love the Miami Hurricanes and if someone thinks otherwise they might need mental help. Been working hard for years to build up some credibility when it comes to predictions and I think last season we did pretty well! Hoping again for undefeated and National Championship in 2024!

@@CoachCoop people confuse being realistic with being negative coop you would like Miami to go undefeated every year, but that’s not realistic keep being realistic time will tell as the season goes on how correct You will be. I disagree with the Louisville and Florida State losses but time will tell giving the talent in the door is great but getting the best out of the talent is what is important results on the field is what matters like I always say.

My Requirement: At least 10-2 with this easy schedule and such a talented roster. I will seriously begin to question Mario if we cant get 10 wins against this schedule.
I think 7-5 is the floor, or 8-5 with a bowl win, all the losses in the video along with losses to USF and Cal aren't completely out of the realm of possibilitt

With Florida State I'm with you that I'm worried about coaching calls in that game. However Mario Cristobal seems to be good at winning big games though. He did it at Oregon and he did it against Clemson. It's those games that we should win that we be worried about the right coaching calls to put us over

We are going to go undefeated and be state champs. In a perfect world. Miami will lose to someone they aren't supposed to. 11 and 1 and we lost in the first round of the playoffs BUT win the ACC

I think being loaded with portal players is gonna hurt us more than everyone thinks. Look at Colorado last year,I can see us going 7-5 again,and Ward proving he was over hyped all along

Coop… you make cogent points. That said, I have a 2 word rejoinder…Cam Ward. The Canes now have an equalizer at QB. The defense comes out flat against Duke… Cam Ward lifts them. Ward has played in more hostile environments than Louisville. I believe games we’d lose with our other QBs… and the often slow start TVD will be a non issue this season. I do think the intangibles in the Duke game weigh against UM, but Manny’s teams at other schools not named Penn State have had defensive collapses.. including UM. I see this happening late, and UM pulls it out. Accounting for… as you say.. a slip up, 10-2. Anything less, with this schedule and QB would be disappointing.

Here we go again. Trending up but not good enough. You swear like so many other teams have been able to make it to the playoffs and win a chip. We are not consistent, firing coaches every 3 to 4 years. When they are trending up..? Come on man!! Let’s make it to the playoffs once, twice, three times..? First! And then start firing coaches because they can’t win. Stop blowing up the program!! Unless Saban, Kirby or Lincoln Riley come here. Keep the coach if they are trending up.
@@eizaguirre2184 Kalen Deboer took over a 4-8 Wash team and within ONE YEAR, he took them to 11-2. Then he went 14-1 in year two.
He was paid a lot less than Mario and had much less experience.
Mario is a career .500 coach that took Manny's 7-5 program and went 12-13. Dude's a fucking clown that hasnt even matched Mannny Diaz yet, let that sink in.

I think you got most of this right except for the trip game, which I think will be L'ville, not Duke. Barring injuries, the L'ville loss makes the FSU game a rebound game that makes it iffy. I think the Canes handle Duke no problem at Hard Rock. Maybe wishful thinking, but I think the Canes go 10-2 and maybe even 11-1. Hope I'm right.
Coop, Its a brand new season. A brand new QB. A brand new way to acquire players. Miami seems to always have a good squad of players. The one player that they have not had on a consistent basis is the QB. They had Dorsey, he won. They had a host of NFL starting QB's from the 80's 90's and they won. My point being since Dorsey they have not had a legit playmaker at QB. The last time a QB made a game changing play was at Pitt late in the game and Miami's QB got the ball to that Transfer receiver(oklahoma), and he made into the end zone to pull out the win. My point is this, every team has players. Your QB and skill guys have to be better than theirs. If Cam Ward can make those plays, Its going be very hard to beat MIami. All those teams from last year are now for the most part new teams. With the portal and NIL teams are rapidly changing. Until they go out and play you don't know what you got.

I agree except Messidor hasn't played in over a yr. On top of that he has foot issues and need special cleats which isn't a guarantee that they will work.

Miami will be favored in every game this season most likely. The ceiling of course will be an undefeated season. The floor is a 10-2 record. I think we split between the Noles and Louisville and another loss to an unexpected team, maybe Cal due to the travelling distance. We have a top 10 QB, RB, WR and a top 10 offensive line unit in the country. That alone is better than ANY team we'll play in the regular season. Barring extreme injuries, there's absolutely no excuse as to why Miami fails to win 10 games.

Golesh is a great OC and anything could happen. I'd love to see Miami sweep all of the Florida based teams we play this season. Would be something cool to brag about.
Loved it, I think the outcomes are likely to be swapped with the Duke/GT game…Haynes King, in my opinion, was the best QB in the ACC last year…don’t see GT getting worse, and playing them late AFTER MannyBowl 1 🥶

I always liked how u break down n explain the wins n losses coop. But all I'm gonna say is that if we be undefeated by the time we get to Louisville n BEAT Louisville. I think we gonna go undefeated the rest of the year 💯. I just see them as the most tough n talented team than the others we gonna play. Florida state is always a good game but I just can't see them beating us this year with that offensive roster especially Duke 🙂

I got us at about 9-3, we could go 10-2 with some good fortune or we could go 8-4 with some blunders. Not saying I would be thrilled with this but I am a bit jaded and overly realistic, so far.

A ceiling of 9 wins. Losses @FL, @Louisville, and either @USF or home to FSU. And that’s a non emotional prediction. For Coop only I hope Miami can get to 10 wins. 10 wins would mean a CFP berth for Miami IF they win all 3 matchups vs FL, Louisville, and FSU. Absolutely need those 3 for sure.
I just noticed that VTech game is on a Friday. 🤔 So maybe that 3rd loss is either VTech, FSU, or USF. I think I’ll stay with the USF game since it’s on the road. But Miami isn’t losing to Duke at home minus former QB Riley now being at ND

Hey Coop. Louisville fan here. Love the predictions but I think Miami takes down Louisville and FSU. I think they will lose at Cal because of the jet lag and their home field advantage. I think they lay an egg in another game too. Duke is a good bet after beating Louisville and FSU might be reading their own headlines and let’s face it, after those wins it’s going to be hard to get pumped up and feel threatened by Duke. So for me Miami ends the season 10-2 with conference record of 6-2. Crazy tie breaker rules might prevent them from making the championship game but I think they make it in. Peace out brother

I say we need at least 10 wins and one of them being a bowl win for most fans to accept keeping Mario. With the roster he has put together, if he can’t get 10 wins out of 13 games. I would start to question him being the guy even though I do think he is and needs time to be elite. He needs to get us to 10 wins this season with all of the resources and moves being dumped in to Miami and being made.
I gotta say Coop with all respect man. I think you really missed on this one this year. I watch this every year with you and really usually agree with you, but man that 3 game ACC skid in the middle when the team should really be clicking is something I wouldn't predict... seems like your playing it safe this year.
That's just how I feel early in May. Hopefully I change my mind for the official one in August! I don't hold back and always give my honest opinion.

I know you said that if miami goes on a three game skid (that includes a loss to Duke), miami fans will try to run Mario outta town… my guess is that Mario is safe at 9-3 regardless of fan angst. But do you think they might be successful if miami also loses the opener and finishes 8-4 instead of your predicted 9-3?
The surest thing about Miami this year is that opening game loss at Florida to begin the season with an "L".
I would take a Florida loss if it added another ACC win honestly. Either way, Mario isn't going anywhere for AT LEAST another two years. No matter how upset fans might possibly get. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and the team takes a leap this season.

Yeah, three ACC losses pretty much destroys a shot at the ACCCG… so, swapping uf for one of the others would make a big difference.
I think 9-3 is the sour spot where nobody’s happy but nobody’s jumping ship - recruits will stay bought-in and the roster cohesion should be fine. 10+ wins and everything keeps humming for Mario and Company. But 8-4 or worse… that’s where guys who lost spots to mercenaries get angry about sitting even when losing. That’s where recruits start to consider options because Mario is 20-17 through 3 seasons.
My money is on 9-3 with 10-2 a good bit more likely than 8-4. But Mario REALLY needs to avoid 8-4.

@@bjgray7954I don’t think even 5% of the fanbase would call that a step up after all the moves Mario made this off season with roster. If we go 7-5 you can expect more opt outs of the bowl game since there wouldn’t be a reason for them to stay as many people say now.
