    I don’t know if all nurses are detached from the patients, yes you can’t let your emotions over ride your duty to care for a pain in an emergency situation when the emergency is going on, or the emotion will get in the way of clarity in that moment. But what I think is what makes a truly good nurse is that they can put themselves in that patients shoes, empathise with how you would feel if things were reversed or if that were your loved one lying there suffering in their place. That is when a patient feels your connection to them and in times when a patient is scared that is exactly what they need is to feel like someone has got their back, that they are not alone and that someone understands what they must be going through. Once you get cold to that then I really do not think you do your job justices. My thoughts anyway. It’s how I have always been as a nurse and I truly think patients are grateful and their experience is a better one when they feel that connection with you. :) each yo there own and we all have different personalities, doesn’t mean they are not good nurses it’s just how they get through their day. Respect ! ;)

      LOL, yea, you have to do do about 40 things at one time. This was NOT a good depiction what what real ER nursing is like. You are being pulled in multiple directions all at once, you have to help the family, the patient, and answer to everyone. This video depicted that nursing is slow paced and you are dealing with one patient at a time, it isn't reality. There were also no drunks throwing stuff and abusing staff depicted!

    Quick question : Do you need pure maths and physics to become a er nurse?

    • @missb6064
      @missb6064 2 роки тому

      Your question is similar to mine.
      I'm not good at math at all so I'm considering Sterile Processing unless someone advises something better

    • @BriannaAnnette
      @BriannaAnnette Рік тому +2

      Physics is mainly for graduate school level or MD route. Just ADN, BSN or LVN/LPN only need one math like statistics to apply. Depending on the school application requirement for that program, you should check their nursing program site since a school may ask you to start at your placement test level of math before getting to the proper math course for your pathway.
      They’ll lay it out for you and ask your counselor questions to simplify your prerequisites for you.
      So essentially, no you don’t need a lot of math to apply to nursing school and you only need to apply the formula they give you and understanding of those math concepts to actually do your nursing job when you get to that point in nursing school block. It’s basic algebra and you can search on UA-cam what that looks like, it does take practice to get the hang of it since most of the questions will be a word problem format in school.

    • @fluffytail6355
      @fluffytail6355 Рік тому +1

      You need to know math to calculate dosages and titrations. You don’t need calculus but you should have a solid grip of the metric system, conversions, fractions and decimal points.

    • @davidnguyen7747
      @davidnguyen7747 6 місяців тому

      RN schools permit students hone- in (specialize) in their desired practice area, then once the RN (NCLEX) is passed, RNs can sit for their BCEN exam, TNCC exam, and once in advanced practice (if desired), we sit for ATLS & ACNP, to demonstrate competency, specialization.

    Jesus lied and said, "Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." How can he be the son of god if he said he was coming back 2000 years ago? The bible condones owning and beating slaves.
    Exodus 21:20 Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.
    According to genealogies in the bible, the earth is about 6000 years old. This is contradicted by both recorded human history and fossil records.
