@@PoisonJarl71501definitely not the same. One is much more risky and could get you killed while the other can stay far away. I'm not a hater and play what you want everything is fun but it's definitely not the same. There's a reason people call mages easy mode and if people want to lower the difficulty people switch to sorcery
I've been wanting something fun that uses both faith and intelligence, I don't care how good it is after the nerfs I just enjoy incantations and spells and using both at once is a neat and fun little gimmick
I’ve been using, and enjoying the combo of deaths poker and the staff of loss with night comet. I usually throw in a couple extra spells to keep it unique like crystal barrage, terra magika and sometimes meteorite of Astel for huge bosses like placi and fire giant and so far it’s been a blast
Great build and great video explaining it. I have a very similar build that I’ve been going through journey 2 with. Mine has very similar stats, though mine has 20 endurance and 50 vigor. I have a different talismans set up as well. You don’t really need incantation or sorcery talismans, or even Rogier’s armor. The build is plenty strong without them. Also, you may want to try the Faith Knot and Int Knot Crystal Tears in your physick flask. These tears will bring faith and int to the final soft cap of 80 and make your incant and sorcery scaling insanely powerful. Also, if you bring strength and dex to 13 each, you will have access to at least a couple dozen other weapons and ashes of war. Just a suggestion. 😊
Making a new modified Variant of this build with the shadow of the erdtree. Rellana's weapon is great I feel like pontiff Sullivan that can cast spells
I start NG+8 with that build so have some questions: 1. How to distribute level points on 300 level? I 2. Some changes in build because it's 1 year old ?
Great video. It would be a nice extra if you mentioned what weapons and talismans you used or could use until you can get all the stuff for the final build. That would help new players or players which don't have a lot of experience with this class.
Yeah this is something I’m considering a lot. Like I want to get back to doing some starting guides. Like how to start off on a great path as each class. Help players get over that initial hump. Great feedback!
@@AshenOneGaming That sounds great. I would definitly watch it because I really want to do a bleed build but it is so frustrating at the beginning. I just get kicked in the nuts by basically everything. I didn't have near those troubles with my mage or warrior.
I would recommend ranni full moon qs it usely do the same +more dmg and prock frostbite as for comet you can use night comet agains npc so they wont dodge (including malenia) as for state the stuff scale upt to 80 not 70 and give a wooping 430 spell scaling so i believe you would want 40 for vigor and use the 20 points for faith and int and if feel 2 squishy then go for 60 in vigor(for ng+) but overall great build and showcase of skills and spells mate
I slightly tweaked the stat spread of this build at lvl 200. Re-speced from a Moonveil Samurai, on my very first Elden Ring playthrough. 50 Vigor, 35 Mind, 30 Endurance, 16 Strength, 18 Dex, Int & Faith both 60, and 10 arcane. The strength and Dex are for if I want to play around with Rellana Twin Blades. Mid rolling with 71 poise from Scaled Armor set while absolutely annihilating boss health bars 💯🔥
Since the Sword of Night and Flame carried you all the way to Morgott, but you're ready for a change, Can anyone suggest a couple of builds that will keep you powerful while offering more fun and variety as you progress through the game more powerful and efficient post-Morgott.
I ran a similar build using that one summon which is a bunch of greathield wielding skeletons. Leveling it up to max level makes them surprisingly tanky and you can easily take down a lot of bosses like that. Unfortunately there are some bosses, Flame Giant for ex, that you'll need to actually fight using a different summon.
I do have the same build with more focused on lightning & golden order incantations (Ring of Light trio), but you need to be like Lvl 220 to satisfy all their needs even dex has to be at least 30 and with Radagon Icon boost you have 60 Dex then you have even faster cast speed. Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike + Rotten Breath + Ring of Light w/ sorcery incantations as you desire & sword of night and flame + Wing of Astel + Dark Moon Greatsword. Extremely versatile build. If you get stucked in crowded enemy areas with the help of Taker's Cameo talisman you don't even need to drink flasks to restore your health. It's so much fun give it a try.
I did very similar set up, except I went more magic for talismans and focuses on Int / Faith spells, basically all the Rancors. Video of beating Melania on my channel if anyone wants to see how strong you hit.
I’ve been trying to find good builds for my character an honestly builds aren’t like they use to be when this game first dropped it seems like everything is so nerfed😂 my ps4 account I just melted everything with poison an bleed, but I need a good mage
I run a somewhat similar build though I focus more on sorcery swords arts and physical attacks. I use my incantations more for defense. This build seems purely built for offense as most builds I see. I wonder how this version of the build holds up at higher new games. At 200 I feel you should be hitting ng 3-5 for testing. I find at higher ng+ levels you cant ignore defense. Cool build though. The flame spells seem to hit like a truck with this loadout
Instead of using the Flocks Canvas and Graven School, you could also use Magic and Fire Scorpion Charms. They'll boost the damage of both your magic/fire spells, as well as the AoW on the Sword of Night and Flame. Just have to be careful of taking hits, since it reduces the defenses with each charm. And can also use Night Comet instead of Shard Spiral, enemies won't dodge it and it still pierces through enemies. Just doesn't hit multiple times like Shard Spiral Does.
I'm doing an Astrologer, so this is tempting :D For now I mostly just use "I have the high ground and also rock sling" for overworld enemies, but I definitely want that pretty sword.
im new on the game and still "early" in it but im using moonveil katana alongside with magic...its good to have a bleed weapon for when you run out of mana xd...probably im playing wrong but anyway i figure things out while playing
For pvp I find that a combo of magma+death sorceries with some golden order incantations thrown in here and there is not too terrible for and int faith build
I did a similar build to this though it had a bit more focus on str and dex to use other magic/faith based weapon arts. Defiantly a good build to compare with though
What I would do if I run this build : Instead of Flock's canvas & Graven mass, equip Ritual Sword or Red Feather Branchsword for one slot, and any one of Ritual Shield, Primal Glintstone Blade, Carian Filigreed Crest, Magic/Fire scorpion charm for the remaining slot. Maybe Red feather+Lord of blood's exultation + White mask with a weapon with seppuku to trigger it? Instead of flame grant me strength, howl of shabriri (increases damage taken, but higher damage boost and longer buff duration than flame grant me) This build looks very fun to play! Thanks for the video :) I might try this build after I finish my current run.
I don’t think you’ll mess any quests up, if you go there straight away. The only problem you’ll have if you’re going there straight away in a new game, is the stat requirements for the Sword of Night and Flame being very high for a new build, you probably won’t be able to make good use of it till your around level 100 cause of the stat spread.
Umbasa! With 80 INT you actually need no Faith OR Vigor OR endurance, just mind as with Night Comet and 2 staff of losses, with Godfrey Icon AND terra Magica you now have an invisible Last beam that can one shot almost every enemy in the game and melt every boss before they even get close! Magic FTW! edit: Just testin in Floating Farum Azula it does indeed one shot the beasts and 2/3 shots the banished knights, it's obscenely powerful.
its one of its skills, Hold L2 and press R1 to do the attack, If you also want to do the fire wave attack just hold L2 and press R2, make sure you have at least 24 Faith,24 Intelligence,12 Dexterity, and 12 Strength to use it.
love this build tried it out for a playthrough i opted to put my strength up to 16 and start as a samurai for the base 15 dex in the end just left quite a few more options open i mostly was interested in being able to weild the dark moon greatsword on the build as well as the sword of night and flame (i like fighting with greatswords)
I have 2 ancient dragon smithing stones, but when I go to use one to upgrade my +9 Ghiza's Wheel (which says I need an ancient dragon smithing stone to upgrade it further) it says I don't have one, which is incorrect. I have 2 in my inventory. Am I missing something?
Your armor against radahn, godrick and the tree was useless and you will get one shoted by him. It only boosts magic spells and talents. The flame attack does not count as magic.
This is definitely an effective build, but obviously lacking in the damage output in regards to a "pure" sorcery or faith build as you're only rocking one damage up talisman for sorcery/faith as opposed to the 2-3 you can run if you go either sorcery/faith. There's also the ability to duel wield the staff/talisman combo'd with the subsequent one that boosts whatever spell you're using. I ran a similar build up through most of my ng+ build (currently on my way to face everyone's favorite scarlet rot queen), and while definitely viable I have to wonder how it would perform on the higher ng+ runs since the damage is limited as opposed to going either sorcery or faith only.
Thoughts: 200 is unnecessary for basically any build. 70/70 is crazy investment and also generally unnecessary as well as 80 is the final break point and dual scaling weapons typically dont need this.
