No distracting back ground music, no deviations or annoying byplay, just a brutal fight between a hero and villain. @@spartanx169x Bane isn't just a normal human being first of all. He is definitely enhanced. But if we are just going off of this movie. Listen to what Bane says, "Peace has cost you your strength, Victory has defeated you". At this point, Bruce hasn't been Batman for a while, and he is extremely weak. Whereas Bane is always on top of his game. Gotham was at peace for a while, and he sort of retired. But after he gets the shit beat out of him and his back broken, he gets thrown in the same prison Bane was in, and he trains, and trains hard. Which is why, at the end of the movie, he beats the shit out of Bane.

Bane didn't want to expose him, literally drew him there to break him. Phenomenal work to see, as a long time DC fan. Bane is a real theat to Batman, both physically and intelligence-wise (a rare villain that matched Batman's fighting prowess). Great to see the break in live action!!!
I'd say that the real moment we knew Batman was going to lose, was when Batman couldn't beat him through strength and fell back on his League training. Smoke bombs, cut the lights and try to use shadows. Bane seen right through it, being an ex-member. Half the dialogue in the scene is Bane "oh you're trying that" 🤣
Bane, who could match Batman in his fighting peak, caught Batman after a long time of fighting and some peace. Batman couldn't win this fight. It's a great fight, but one Batman could never win. Was soft and broken, before he met peak Bane. Truly luck that Bane wanted to torture him by breaking him and make him watch what he does. Ego defeated Bane, not Batman
Even after we seen Batman couldn't win by strength, we assumed he could win with his intelligence. He smoke bombs, cuts lights, uses shadows, had nothing that Bane didn't know. We assume Batman could trick out a win, but Bane already knew the tricks. Scary scene, knowing if they weren't trying to recreate the break, Bane could've killed him this fight

Killer Croc, Man-bat, Deadshot with a gun, few villains matched. Only in Batman Beyond did villains start getting major power boosts. Even common enemies were Spliced humans that had the strength of their animals. Rare to see Batman lose a 1v1, this is the only live action scene to show that he actually CAN lose
*SPOILER* Red Hood also could match, but he was trained by Batman. Nightwing could best Batman too, good thing he never turned on Batman 🖤 still a Batfamily member to this day. Unless there's a comic I didn't see

Too bad the movie didn't encapsulate that. Bane seems like a lesser villain, but was a truer villain because he KNEW how Batman thought. Joker was just chaos at the perfect time. He's a clown. Bane was intelligent, powerful. Didn't need dogs or weapons to wipe the floor with Batman. So who was the better villain???
Only time Joker used Batman's thinking against him, was the choice of who to save (girl or Dent). Otherwise, the last fight scene of The Dark Knight realizes that he had notions, and he thought humans were inherently bad. He misjudged. Bane never misjudged, in his movie. He was always focused on Batman, but he never realized Batman could overcome and defy. Plot armor lol yeah it's funny, but shows that villains are never perfect. What Batman is, as a whole, is opposite of perfect. Batman has flaws, that Bane was exploiting. He was like hope, I'll let you live in it, wallow in it while I destroy Gotham in front of you.. Gotta be the worst feeling hitting a man with everything you got and he just stands there and takes it and looks back at you unphased like "Im waiting for an actual punch... I barely felt that."
A thought that just popped into my head is that if bane lets Batman hit him so much to help Bane get more adrenaline in his system, so he’s faster, stronger, tougher, and more alert than normal, and he’s already crazy strong and skilled to begin with.
What people forget to mention here is that Nolan cleverly replaced the venom which provided him with strength to a sort of serum gas that provides him numbness to pain. The reason Bane is barely trying here is because he feels no pain from Bruce’s strikes. His power comes from being impervious to pain and therefore doesn’t need to be a bulking guy to have the tremendous power to go up against anybody. It’s in the final confrontation where his mask is messed with where he finally loses control ~ Batman is the better combatant and just manages to outsmart him.
Seeing Bats all humilated like this made it all the more satisfying to see him strike back at Bane in the final confrontation and whoop his ass this time.

This is a masterpiece!
Best writing in a movie I’ll die on that hill
A thought that just popped into my head is that if bane lets Batman hit him so much to help Bane get more adrenaline in his system, so he’s faster, stronger, tougher, and more alert than normal, and he’s already crazy strong and skilled to begin with.
Batman is a true fighter dont matter how many times he got knocked down he always gets up and fight to the end
When you’re throwing everything you’ve got at your opponent and they just keep monologuing not a bit out of breath, you’re in trouble.
Seeing Bats all humilated like this made it all the more satisfying to see him strike back at Bane in the final confrontation and whoop his ass this time.
Peace has cost you your strength, victory has defeated you…
Idk why but I always laugh at the way he says “Blinding”
it's not funny at all.
